We started taking our puppy here. The first checkup was good. From the next visit onwards they started taking the puppy inside and didn’t allow us to come in. Even for vaccination visits they do other examinations without informing and at the end they call us and ask for credit card number. The worst part is all this is over the phone when we are in the parking lot waiting for our dog where we don’t even know why they charged so much just for vaccination visit. The front staff should do a better job with communication about the visit and examinations so that we know what to expect from each visit and not throw surprises.

Gave medication that caused the issue and hear loss and prescribed new med saying don't use old. Charged for both. Nice.

We've taken our dogs to Novi Vet for decades. Both Dr. Mehler and Dr. Kellert are absolutely wonderful, so patient and caring with both pets and owners.

Awesome vet who genuinely cares about your pet. I brought my cat in during the week and he called me on a Saturday to check up to make sure she was okay. Every time I talk to him, he takes his time to fully explain everything and always let's me ask as many questions as I need. I never feel rushed. Highly recommend!

I called to make a appointment,. explained I just purchased a new pup and was required to followup with a vet within a week. Calling Novi Vet. was disappointing. The office staff member was short while explaining what I needed. Getting a appointment wouldn't possible till I filled out forms on line. When I proceeded to explain I was able to do it that way , the office staff said nobody is allowed in the building. This staff us terrible with people , can only hope she's better behaved with someone else's pet.

They are so caring and professional great service and feedback on my visit was exceptional..

Very bad service. They don't tell you about the bill until you pay. They have more than $50 just for the office call they make and so many hidden expenses.Very rude administrative staff.

Dr. Jackie loves my dogs and gives them great care.

My dog was very very sick and they said they would not see him for a week! They would not listen to concerns on the phone and were quite rude when confronted about it. My dog is dead now.

My dear kitty boy Mason Mortimer ( aka moop) we( my mom and I) had to bring here due to a very bad swelling on his lower right jaw. The Dr explained to us it probably was cancer . And helped send our kitty boy to G*D . We are so very grateful ????❤️ ???? for her to make a good decision for him . And being a pillar of strength for us. I know he's with his sister Allieanne Angelica and my dad in heaven. Ty for being there for us in our hour of saddness and thank you.

The desk staff, Wendy, has always been nothing but rude. It seems all of the other poor reviews on here are about the same issue.....She has been nothing but short and unhelpful when on the phone. My last experience there was when my appointment was running more than an hour behind and appointments after mine were being seen before me. She refused to address why that was and can’t help but wonder if it was on purpose. I’m really blown away at the fact she has worked here for so long with so many complaints about the front desk.

Never had a good experience with the front desk. Nothing but rude, doesn’t seem like they like their job. Booked an appointment for my dog as soon as possible because we missed our apportionment during lockdown and was told I didn’t have one. I wasn’t asked if I wanted to reschedule and didn’t even receive an apology. They don’t seem to care about their customers or my dogs health clearly. I went to pick up my dogs files today. Won’t be going back there. Not to mention when I picked up the files, she handed them to me without saying a word, again no sorry, no nothing! No professionalism what so ever.

I had my cat declawed here almost 4 years ago. Present day, I’m pretty upset no one at this business told me how damaging this procedure is to cats. At the time of the surgery, the clinic employees took very good care of my cat as she recovered. I appreciate that. However, my cat continues to have paw problems now and evident pain. She is about 5 years old (~1 at time of procedure). I didn’t learn how bad it was til a couple of years after the procedure. I’m really appalled no one explained the 100% guaranteed negative side effects declawing will have on your cat. I would have never had it done. Now my cat is on a 2x daily herbal treatment.

The staff is usually really good, however we took our male husky (almost 3 y/o) there about a month ago because she needed bloodwork. After they got done with him they brought him back to me and told me that he had an “issue” during the draw he reached back and growled and apparently tried to nip one of the staff. I told them ahead of time that he is very uneasy and the vet and mouthy. The tech told me that next time I should give him anxiety meds before his visit. So I did, and as we walk in for our next appointment the first thing that same tech asked was “did he have his meds” not hi, or how is he doing, and everyone acted like he was a rabid animal and were very uneasy around him, making him more nervous. When the vet went to check his heart, my dog started crying and the vet held his collar so tight acting like he was going to attack. I understand that they were scared but as a pet owner I wanted to know my dog was in good hands with people that care about his well being and it seemed like they were more concerned that he was drugged than if he was at ease or not. He did just fine for his shot and they were making him more scared for no reason. As people that are trained to deal with those situations, and I KNOW they have more aggressive animals there, you would think that they would have treated him better and realized that it was out of fear and not aggression. Thinking about changing vets after this.

Dr Mahler is the best. You can trust him with your fur babies.

I have only great things to say about the vets and staff here at Novi Vet Clinic. I am grateful to have found them for my puppy. She loves them and that tells me alot of how they are with her. Very compassionate and understanding, clean, knowledgeable and patient. i recommend them to all my friends..it quite a ways for me to drive there, but its worth it to get the degree of excellence in veterinary care for my pup.

This Clinic offers competitive pricing for this region. I wish it wasn't located on the corner of a busy intersection. The compact parking lot can be difficult to maneuver.

Dr. Mehler was my veterinarian for many years, and he was, and still is, the best there is. Unfortunately, he relocated further away. I was heart broken to lose him. I tried two other vets, and there was absolutely no comparison. I finally tracked him down and the few extra miles are well worth it. He has an excellent table side manner. My pets just love him. He is very, very knowledgeable. He makes friends easily with the pets. He takes the time to explain things. The clinic is clean as a whistle, very calm and soothing. Good environment for the animals. The supporting staff is wonderful. I feel safe in knowing my pets are in very capable hands. If your are looking for the greatest vet there is, please contact Novi Veterinary Clinic. I just took my dog here last week.2.23.17. I wasn't a regular customer but my dog was in need to be seen ASAP. They were so kind to squeeze me in before the end of their day to see my dog (without my being a typical customer). They were kind, loving and genuinely cared about my dog. I appreciated the professionalism but also the loving hearts they had. I would recommend them to you. They care. And a lot of vets don't. They took the time to talk to me and explain my options fora caring for my dog. They asked every question possible to truly diagnose the dog correctly. It was a lovely experience.

Doctors & nurses are okay but the administration is not. This year, I’ve only had my puppy sick twice, and both times I couldn’t get any appointments (even though I called for an appointment within 3-4 days, and they were open). So, eventually, I ended up taking him to emergency clinic instead and spending a lot of money. The emergency room told me that he was very sick and still needed a follow up with them. Oh, good. More appointments. But they are very quick to get their money. Horrible place for getting any appointments when you actually need it! They’re good for shots and rutine stuff, which are weeks in advance but not to get appointments otherwise. The lady at the front desk told me that they’re super busy (same excuse every time). So, probably they taking on more clients than they can handle. Very disappointed! I’m looking for another vet in the area. Any suggestions?
