My Husky Blue has been to The Lodge for Pampered Pets twice now. It's in the middle of the woods which is perfect for my boy. The staff has been super professional & completely amazing. They allow you to come visit during the stay as well as post photos on FB. I truly am so blessed that I found such an amazing kennel.

Previously, under different management I would have given this place a much higher rating. However, the last two times I have kenneled them there wasn’t great; especially this last time in April when both were kenneled there. The first time (under new management) I kenneled Meeko (corso) upon picking him up his bed was tore up as if he was bored and not let out. He’s never done that before or at home even when left for an extended period of time. Too, I asked they not give him an exit bath and they did and charged me and cut his nail way too short. Recently when both were kenneled, I was going out of town and my parents were going to house/dog-sit for us but due to unfortunate circumstances we had to kennel them last minute Thursday- Tuesday as they had to leave out of town last minute. My parents were able to pick them up early on Sunday, I called from out of town to let them know that would be happening so things were ready for my parents. Once I finally got home on Tuesday night I picked them up and our 11 year old English bulldog had ooze coming from his nose with a terrible hacking sound, his dog bed/blankets smelled so bad of urine it was disgusting, they never gave my parents a huge bin of special food we dropped off for our corso, his slow feed bowl, bones/toy, blankets and the bag we had stuff in to name a few. I emailed the Lodge immediately of what was happening. I called our vet the next day to get diesel some ABX ($85 later) as well as called the lodge and an employee stated they had a recent episode of a respiratory illness that seemed like kennel cough and they gladly reimburse us for the meds. I asked that the Manager, Alex, return my call amd she never did nor did she respond to my concerning email re: the situation that happened. I finally went to get all the stuff they forgot on departure and as I was pulling in she was pulling out (of course). I was never able to talk to her face to face so I emailed her the bill for diesel and still not response. I understand accident happens happen but at least address the situation!! Very unorganized and unprofessional. I will not be taking our dogs to that kennel again. My husband and I were so worried our old guy would aspirate and get pneumonia. Very unprofessional.

I'll provide our experience and let you determine if your pet deserves this experience. My wife and I made a last-minute decision to take a quick overnight trip, our normal kennel was booked, no availability. The lodge had openings, we thought it might be good to have another location for our pets, what a mistake. Drop-off Went well, no issues. Pick-up When we arrived, I asked how our one-year old GSP did with socialization (play time) and boarding in general since this was her first experience. Response, we didn't socialize your three dogs because they were only here for 24 hours - really? I was upset but let it go. A few days later our dogs (three) all came down with Kennel cough, confirmed via the vet, now antibiotics and cannot socialize our dogs for three weeks - great! My wife called that day to inform the lodge that our dogs contracted Kennel cough during their stay, you would think they would at least call by the end of the day - nope! The following day I sent an email to the kennel's owners expressing my disappointment. This generated a return call to my wife, they asked how the dogs were doing, no other discussions - more of a forced response given my email. No mention about cleaning, contacting other owners, why my dogs were not socialized with others, and no apology. This is not the experience I want my dogs to have during stays away from home.

The vet recommend The Lodge and I'm very happy with it. I have a cat who is used to being around people all day so I like to lodge her when we go out of town. The Lodge staff are professional and you can tell they love all kinds of animals. Cat has plenty of opportunities to climb or play. Sometimes she even plays with other cats :)

I have to assume our dogs love it here. Everytime we put the dog food on our counter and say "lets go see the doggies" they go wild! They are very social and so they get to be outside a lot! The staff is super sweet too.

I absolutely LOVE this place!!!! I have a choc lab that gets all excited when we pull into the long winding driveway. He knows he's going where he has fun fun fun! It's incredibly clean, the staff is wonderful and they truly pamper your pets. We take Clay there for daycare as often as we can. Great place to socialize your dog.
