These folks cared for my Husky mix for 13 awesome years - routine care as well as cancer and emergencies with some surgery. I totally trust them. I recently adopted a rescued young Husky mix who had some traumatic experiences before I got him. The staff and vets have been so patient and helpful with tips on dealing with his anxieties and were great with his intra nasal porcupine quills that he got a couple of weeks before me.

Thank you to everyone at the animal medical center! When my son and I lost one of our cats recently we were devastated and didn’t know what to do. When I called to ask for help they were extremely helpful and super understanding, made appointment’s for our other two cats to be seen and when we arrived to the apartment both cats were not having it! The staff was extremely kind and helpful they decided it would be best to just reschedule them and gave me something to give them that would help calm them down before the next appointment. I called the after hours number a few days later concerned about one of my cats. The woman I spoke to was so nice she told me she would meet me at the medical center if I thought it was that serious (I was just paranoid after losing one cat) although our appointment was still like a week away she told me if I didn’t come that night to bring both of them in the next day they would make time for us! The staff was so great the vet was great and explained everything so well! The room was a cats dream with treats, toys, fresh catnip and, cool wall mounts! The staff even took their time to sign and send a sympathy card to us after the lose of our precious cat!

Emergency services are a joke. This place only wants your money and doesn’t give a second thought to animals in need. Do not waste your time here!!!

We love Doctor Leah and Doctor Holmstrom. AMC has always taken great care of our four legged children. Very accommodating for our female dog who has separation anxiety.

Best vets in the area. My boy got hurt in the middle of the night and the vet was on the phone with me within 10 minutes of my call and they got him in today(he is fine now)

Wow, such an awful experience with emergency care. Would give zero stars if I could. My daughter called after hours for emergency care at 9:15 pm on 9/21/2021 for help with her cat. Explained the symptoms to the veterinarian: labored breathing, eyes rolling back in his head, collapsed, and lost his bowels and urinary control. The irritated veterinarian said, “this line is for emergencies only, and this doesn’t sound like an emergency.” The female vet said it was probably an anxiety or asthma attack. My daughter followed the expert advice and guess what?!? My daughter took her cat to another veterinarian the next morning and her beloved cat died shortly after arriving, gushing blood from his mouth and nose. Horrible experience for her to witness. Thank you for dismissing my daughter’s concerns and not helping her or her sweet cat when they desperately needed your help.

Should have read the reviews first. Waited 45 mins for new client appointment. I was shocked, first impressions ... walked out of the room and left.... only to get a call to see if I was coming back for my appointment.... I was there at 10:30 for my appointment. After saying the Dr probably wouldn't see my dog if I was 45 minutes late, there was a long pause... because it is true. Wouldnt recommend, based of first impression.

The Animal Medical Center of Marquette has been fantastic to deal with. My puppy (7 yrs old) needed this teeth cleaned and I was very apprehensive to have him put under anaesthetic. They were very professional, cautious and comforting. Thank you Dr. Holstrom

The care is good but they are grossly understaffed. Long wait times on the phone and in office. I have been going there for several years and it has only gotten worse. On average I wait 2 weeks for a vet to return my call or pass along test results. Today i waited 60 minutes in the room for a blood test that took 15 seconds to complete.. I understand emergencies happen but my time is valuable as well and a heads up would be nice if they are that far behind schedule.

After getting attacked by another dog, we needed some emergency help over a weekend. Being from out of town, we chose AMC simply because they were the first place we were able to get a hold of. I feel we got very lucky to find such a great vet on a whim. Dr. Vezzetti and a tech met us at their office in 30 min from initial call. They were both very friendly and compassionate, and quickly proceeded to get our baby boy patched up. I am more than happy with the service and communication that was provided. At first the emergency fee seems steep, but in hind sight feel it was fair and I am very grateful that they were willing to drop what they were doing on a beautiful Sat. afternoon to come in to help us. If we lived in the Marquette area, I would not hesitate to use Dr Vezzetti and AMC as our primary care provider. Only a few days later and Logan is healing nicely and already back to his outgoing, playful, loving self.

We were new clients. When I called to make an appointment they were so helpful and was able to was able to get my cat Morley in the next day. I appreciated the vet's suggestions and alternatives for his treatment. The clinic is well maintained and very clean. The staff were very pleasant and friendly and helpful.

Great experience on a Saturday when everyone was closed they stay open to help our 10 year old dog who sliced her pad on a sharp rock when swimming in Lake Superior. Great vet and service to animals. Thank you

Best vet ever!! Very understanding when I couldn't pick up my dog on time. Kept her with them for an extra couple of hours. Very very very happy to have such a wonderful, reliable, friendly and understanding very clinic for my pets to go to. Thank you so much :)

took their time on a holiday weekend to help my best friend and gave him the best care possible. forever grateful.

They are always so genuinely caring and helpful. Really great place and staff. Years ago when my cat passed away they came in on Easter to help out. Today they took my concerns about my new cat's previous reaction to a shot seriously. The time before the vet cuddled my cat just for the love when she was done with her checkup. I love this place and these people.

Great place! Vets are outstanding!

They are still on lockdown so you have to wait outside....but they are very good....I definitely recommend them for your pets.

Charlie is my baby and I understand that they are busy but called early and was told she would tk with Dr. 2 1/2 hours later called back same gal stated she was just going to take with Dr. And would callback in a few minutes. Another 2 hours passed and nothing yet. Inex usable this never happened when Dr. Aho was my vet

I called in asking questions about quality of care and they did not have any answers and when I asked for an estimation of cost they refused . The prices must have be quite high if they aren't willing to even give a ballpark estimate. It's also very unprofessional if they are expecting clients to blindly go in and pay their fees without even a ballpark so that I can know what to expect when I go to pay. I don't mind paying for quality but I felt this was a highly unprofessional way to keep people from shopping around. They came highly recommended so I'm very sad to have to go somewhere else. Edit: After a response from the owner on my review, I wanted to specify I was looking for the cost of a wellness check and they still could not provide a estimate on that cost. That's not for "the good of my pet" it's completely unprofessional. I won't use a vet office that can't tell me even the basic cost of an evaluation.

I took my dog Abbie in for the first time today, Dr. Gerrish was so kind and knowledgeable. Would highly recommend her for your precious "fur babies" or what ever pet that has stolen your heart. God bless you Dr. Gerrish!

Staff is excellent and very skilled. Very informative and caring. They get to know you and your pets by name and treat you like family.

Been here once, but very friendly and accommodating staff. Called on a Friday VERY concerned about a kitten I had just adopted, and they fit me in the next day. This will be my new vet for both my kittens.

Really great staff they gave both our dogs so much love while they visited and they have a totally unique dog park with all sorts of fun obstacles so we can tire them out before driving back to Munising. We just moved to da UP in August but we've found our regular veterinarian.

So grateful for everything they did to try to save our goat.

My poor Puppy had a seizure late at night around midnight. Called and talked to the on call person, said they would call back and sure enough they called back within seconds. The Vet there was very professional and made it to the office in a very timely manner and took great care of Cooper. 10/10 recommend this place, she knows what she’s talking about and can be trusted.

I was a client for twenty years . One of my cats gets sick and I'm not told it had less than a month to live. Age 11. Unprofessional when the vet won't call whenever promised or hides in back office. They give real vets a bad name.
