We were beyond pleased with our experience and the wonderful staff at Dog’s Bay. Miss Penny loved all of the belly rubs, her warm bed, and play time with her new friends. They were flexible and let her stay overnight when we couldn’t make it in time for pickup, sent us updates each time we asked for one, and even sent us home with a goodie bag! Thank you for taking such good care of our fur-kid! We will definitely be back!

My Dog gets so excited to stay at Dogs Bay. I love that she gets to take walks and play with puppy pals. I can also keep up with how she is doing on the web site through their pictures. Love that!

I would not let my fur babies go anywhere else. They treat my "kids" like their own.

Picked my sons dog up this week and was so disappointed. The website mentions “ Team members are required to wear masks, wash hands and practice social distancing” which none of the employees were wearing masks! Why have something on your website if you’re not actually going to practice it? The day care’s website also mentions “ No collars. leashes, bedding, toys from home…” but every dog was wearing their own collars from home. The state of Michigan doesn’t require masks anymore, so why still mention that you’re going to do something on the website? Maybe update your website!!! I will not support a company that says one thing but does another. Get with the program. The place smelled so bad and was in rough shape. My sons dog will not be back. Will be checking into Eddie & Barkus next week.

If your ever looking for somewhere to bring your fur babies while your gone bring them HERE. The love and compassion for the dogs is so strong and there’s no doubt the dogs love it too.

The groomer did a great job but the owner did not treat her employees with respect and took advantage of them. Not surprising there is such a big turn over of groomers. I cannot support a company like that. The owner has said this is not a legitimate complaint because I know a former employee. It is true I know a former employee but that does not change that fact employees are not treated well.

The owner, Deb Lewis, has a long history of mistreating employees. From greatly underpaying her staff, forcing them to work additional unpaid hours, and requiring them to support her MLM business without additional pay, to threatening longtime, loyal employees with lawsuits that have no basis in reality. She routinely disregards COVID-19 policies that put her clients and employees in danger, and it's clear that she only cares about the bottom line. She has required lone employees to watch up to 20+ dogs at a time, which is incredibly unsafe for both the animals and the employees. If you are looking for a business that will treat your pets right, start by choosing one that treats their employees right.

I wouldn’t board my dog anywhere else! My wife was a wreck leaving her baby and they made her feel so comfortable about his stay! 2 days into his stay and we receive a email from our dog tell us how he was doing and about his friends! Love the staff and owner at Dogs Bay!

I have been taking my dogs to Dogs Bay for over 15 years to board, and 2-3 times a week for doggie daycare. I trust them completely with the happiness and safety of my fur kids. The play areas are both indoor and out, and when out, they are not on artificial grass or concrete. They are out in nature, playing in sand boxes, taking nature walks, having pool parties in the summer. My dogs are beyond excited to pull down that drive. Owner Deb goes over and beyond to make sure her customers are happy and satisfied. The employees are all so pleasant, and their love for the dogs there shines through - many of them have been there for years and I consider them friends. Thank you, Deb and team, for providing happiness for my fur kids and peace of mind for me!

We went on a family vacation for one week and left our fur babies here. We chose this location due to good reviews and ratings. However, we were not very satisfied. First off, we paid for a VIP for both of our dogs so that they would get the extra care that they needed especially for our puppy. When we dropped our dogs off, the classic suite they were supposed to be staying in looked nothing like the pictures on their website! They were supposed to take our dogs on many walks and only took one dog on a walk twice. Also for our puppy, she was fully potty trained before we took her here and the second we walked in to pick them up the workers were complaining that she had many accidents. If that was the case then she wasn't being taken outside enough, even though we paid extra money for her to be taken out more often. Once we got home it took her about a week to be retrained from this. On top of that, they said our almost 3 year old dog had accidents! She hasn't ever had an accident since she was maybe 5 months old! That is nonsense. Finally, we were charged extra because our dogs both got diarrhea. Not sure who thinks that is wholesome to do as it can be quite normal as our labs eat many sticks and bark outside. Overall, they seemed to have an ok time but we were not happy with the overpricing of our stay and the fact that we were charged for absurd things as well as the rude attitude from the worker when we picked her up.

I AM a friend of an employee who was treated very wrongfully. And my Mother, Deb DuBois, DID take her dog here. It is not illegitimate it is a very truthful claim. Your business does a fine job with dogs. But as far as employee treatment it is lacking in professionalism and basic decency. I have a right to my outlook on this business. Even if it is a poor one!

I have a spoiled princess here at home and would not hesitate to leave her in the care of Deb Lewis and her team. My daughter worked for Deb for 2 years before she went away to college and absolutely loved the experience and the team. Nothing but the best at Dog's Bay!

Rex and nemo loves how family can check in during vacation to see how they are doing. Always looks like who is getting a vacation from who. Fun with new friends but able to be with each other.

Dogs Bay in South Holland was a great experience for us. The facility is clean, well organized, and the staff’s communication to us during our dog’s daily stay was superb and informative. They truly care about dogs and their owner Deb is an expert trainer and animal lover.

Booked a luxurious suite for our good boy. VIP. Picked him up to find out he was not allowed VIP and couldn’t play with the other dogs. We were told it was because of a rash and they thought it might be contagious. He has seasonal allergies and it’s common. The “suite” we booked for him was a joke. No tv that they advertise. Nothing luxurious about it. Just a aggressive German Shepherd next to him. He was extremely dehydrated when we picked him up. I would strongly advise to look into other options when coming to saugatuck.

Although my dog suffers separation anxiety the staff was great about working with him. Full service dog care, grooming, fun activities for your furry friend, nature walks, a Zen room, and music at night to help calm dogs. Deb (owner) is well known in the area for her training skills. Ironically I have now moved into a house next door! Look forward to being neighbors with these folks. Staff really seems to love and respect dogs.

They always do a fantastic job. We've left our dogs here upwards of two weeks. The online photos are great.

It sounds like we are not the only ones to love dogs bay, but here's another what you need to know review: Our dog is a very happy, very social, very smart Australian Shepherd. She lives pretty much constantly attached to our hip, and can be hard to tear her away. We've tried other places that are closer, or more convenient, to where we live in the north part of grand rapids, but she's had major problems at all of them. We tried dogs bay out of desperation for a place we could feel comfortable leaving our puppy for extended periods of time, and where she loved it. Without question dogs bay has got it. We pull up and she can't wait to get out and run in to see her friends. That in itself is amazing, but the care and accommodation the staff takes makes this place an easy 5 out of 5. Every time we get back and pick her up, she comes waddling out happy as can be. SHE GOES IN HAPPY AND EXCITED, AND COMES OUT THE SAME WAY. If that doesn't speak to the quality here, I don't know what will. We drive the extra hour happily to get service thaT just isn't available anywhere else we've gone. I cannot recommend them enough. The pros: - the staff is very nice: strong follow up with email and phone calls - the place is huge: and much of it is outdoors, which if your dog is like ours with high energy that is a major benefit - pictures. It may sound stupid, but they go above and beyond to make sure they get pictures up every day, and being across the world, being able to look at the pictures and know she is in good spirits is a huge comfort The cons (we had to work to come up with these) - they can be hard to find. The south complex sign is a tiny little sign that's VERY easy to miss. - the complex doesn't look as full of bells and whistles as some other 'dog resorts'. We only put this in here because some people judge entirely on how something looks up front. Looks can be deceiving, don't be turned off by the fact that this is a mostly outdoor and nature fired property that isn't a Hilton converted for dogs. ***we have only ever been to the boarding facility, I cannot speak to the main complex in North Holland****

We drop our dog off here several times a year when we go out of town. It is a little pricey, but they do a good job. Take the dogs for walks and post pictures on Facebook. They have pick up times of before noon, so that can put a crimp in plans because you have to get back by noon or else you pay for another day.
