I came to Haven Animal Hospital because I was unable to get my dogs in anywhere else. I’ve been impressed with their care since day one. They are always kind, always ready to answer your questions, and they are very good at getting to the root of your pets problems. To the people saying they nickel and dime you, it’s costly, etc…Yes, veterinary care is expensive, but they do not pressure you into anything. You are ALWAYS given the choice to decline anything, and they always make sure you know the cost before you are charged AND they will make sure you are 100% sure that you are comfortable with your options. You are not FORCED to spend your money. I have a 9 year old golden retriever that has a constant sore on his paw. Every vet I’ve been too has chalked it up to allergies/irritation and sent me on my way. Haven offered me other options that eventually led to his diagnosis of what turned out to be some gnarly arthritis. Now with proper treatment my boy is running around like a brand new pup after all this time and enjoying his senior years!

Amazing amazing amazing! My cat Buddy just spent 3 days here following an emergency urinary blockage surgery. Dr. Hilferty and the team at Haven Animal Hospital saved my boy and for that I will always be grateful. My experience was better than any with my vet that I’ve been with for years. Thank you Haven Animal Hospital! I will be bringing all of my veterinary needs to you from now on!

I have been taking my dog there for more than 10 years. We now have two dogs and although I have held off for a long time, I will say it now. They will attempt to get every nickel they can out of you. The care has been OK,But the only thing they really care about is the almighty buck.

Very friendly staff, and good care for my kittens exam...little pricey, been awhile I've had a pet.

I've taken my dog to Haven Animal hospital twice now. Fantastic group, they made a real effort to make my anxious pup comfortable during each visit which really makes it so much better. Also, very informative, answered all my questions and I didn't feel like they were rushing me. Absolutely recommend!!!

This team of caring pet health care professionals is amazing. They have cared for my 2 labs since they were pups. From infected ears, andominal blockage to a scary potential poisoning. Thanks for being there for Maise and Finn (and me too).

They have failed to remove the wrong contact info from my account five times. They keep contacting the wrong phone number. I have told them to remove this phone number from my account several times over the past nine years.

I was very satisfied with my experience with everyone here from my first phone conversation to picking up my pet when the procedure was done.

This place is amazing to my kitten! Took care of everything I needed for him. Super friendly staff and helpful advice. Slightly over priced, but everything in Grand Haven seems to be.

It absolutely blows my mind that this place has good reviews.

They were the only vet that would look at my cat with a somewhat urgent problem, and they were so so nice about it! I'm truly grateful to them for that. I know it's a high stress environment to work in, and they were able to help me out right away.

My cat was sick and her current vet couldn't get her in for 6 weeks. After calling around several other vets, Haven Animal Hopsital was very kind and understanding and squeezed her in right away. The staff were all very polite and caring. Dr. Baughan was excellent and very patient in answering my questions. I would definitely recommend this Vet to all of my family and friends!

They were so very AMAZING with our newest fur baby addition. We had rescued a kitten that someone driving in front of us had thrown out their car window while moving from at a stop sign. We HAD to pick her up. Nobody in muskegon county could see her within a reasonable amount of time. We called Haven Animal Hospital and they squeezed us in the morning I called! Everyone there was so very welcoming and extremely friendly and very knowledgeable. They were absolutely GREAT with our new little princess, Yazzie, and we definitely look forward to introducing our other fur babies to their care as well. They were spectacular and we are so very thankful for their kindness and care! We highly recommend their office for all of your veterinary needs. ????

We needed to have our dog seen ASAP and they were very accommodating. Although, it wasn’t necessarily the news we wanted, the vet was very helpful, informative and compassionate. He offered several options for treatment and supported our decision to “attempt “ treatment and take our dog home with us. Very grateful for his compassion.

HORRIBLE! they only want your money and they do not care about your dog at all. The guy there was so rude and disrespectful, he was telling me that my dog was basically dying and how he had all of these problems, then I took my dog to the hospital in Grand Rapids and they told me he was ok he just had a stomach issue. They only want your money. They didn’t even want to pick my dog up! Seriously...what kind of hospital is this? If you want to help your animal and save money go literally anywhere else. Trust me.

I always trust HAH with my beloved Fern P. Bruce. She can be a handful but they always take good care of her:)

This was our first visit to Haven Animal Hospital. Our sweet boy, Mr Roper had had a seizure and we needed to get him in to see what was going on right away! They were able to get him in the day I called! They explained everything, they followed safe COVID protocols and were very informative throughout his visit while I waiting in the car. He is extremely nervous going to the vet/groomer etc. so I asked to put a muzzle on him myself. I did this so that the vet would feel safe and that my sweet boy who doesn't bite but acts/looks as though he will when he is nervous would feel safe. I saw on the other reviews that an owner was upset with using a muzzle however I think safety of the animal and the ones caring for the animal is so important. And when everyone is less stressed and feels safe I'm confident that the appointment will go much better for everyone. The vet took time to explain everything and walk me through scenarios and possible explanations of what may be going on. I so appreciated the time and attention and follow up after. I would love to bring Mr. Roper back here for his next check up! Thank you!

My pup needed a vaccine for an event we went to, ur vet could not get him in but I called Haven Animal hospital and they got him in very quickly and he was able to attend his sibling reunion. The staff was wonderful and he went with the staff member with no issues. The doctor was very professional when he called me to let me know how my dogs check up went and asked if I had any questions? I think we will make Haven Animal Hospital our regular veterinarian.

My dog had an accident and got severely hurt on her head. After calling almost every emergency vet in town and in Grand Rapids, I contacted haven animal hospital. They were so nice, and got my dog in to see them within an hour with no appointment, even tho they were getting ready to close. They treated her so well, and made sure she was really okay to come home. I love the staff, and the veterinarian was so communicative with what needed to be done with my dog. I will definitely be changing my vet to them! 5+ stars from me and my dog

My dog was really sick and also lost the use of his hind limbs. Haven was able to get me in within 2 hours of me calling them. The vet called and spoke to me at length about the issues and the treatment plan. Haven called me a day later to check in and answered more of my questions. I would highly recommend.

I recently moved downstate from the upper peninsula and have had the WORST time finding a good vet because my vet up north was so fantastic. After at least 10 vet offices telling me they weren’t accepting new clients I was so relieved when I found Haven Animal Hospital. The staff was friendly, fast, and so professional. I’ll definitely be making this my permanent vet for the foreseeable future!

Appreciate being part of the process as the exam goes along. No surprise treatment with surprise big bill!
