I am very pleased with the care my pets have received at AHC. From minor issues to life threatening conditions, Dr Sandy & her staff have always responded as if my pets were their own. Everyone I have seen there has been knowledgeable & competent. I would not even consider taking my dogs anywhere else.

Dr. Sandy Smith runs an efficient office with staff that welcome us to their office and care for our animals as if they were their own. COVID has been hard on our fur babies. Dr. Smith kept her office open to care for our four (maybe less) legged furry family members and offered curbside service with a smile through inclement weather. She offers alternative options for animals. Her clinic offers underwater treadmill rehabilitation, full blood work, internal medicine, cardiology and behavior consultations onsite. What more could you ask for? She offers a variety of dog and cat food for young and old. The variety of treats / snacks are 5-star. She has a sympathy room to assist grieving pet owners. When you leave, you have complete documentation of services. Let’s not forget, she will go to the clinic when emergencies arrive. I cannot say enough about Dr. Sandy and her staff. For many years we have taken our furry family member to Dr. Sandy and her staff. We know that when we take them to Animal Health Clinic they will receive the best care possible. Quite simply, they are the best and we highly recommend them.

I had a appointment at 10am on Saturday October 3rd 2021, I had to miss it due to a very serious family emergency. I’ve spent thousands of dollars here in the last 3 years taking care of my Dachshunds, just to be scolded by the lady that answered their phone and told me basically my dog could not be seen until the following Saturday and they needed a deposit for that appointment spot plus I had to pay for the missed appointment because they could have had two appointments in that 1 appointment I missed. So my dog was being punished for a family emergency, even though my dog was being seen for a problem. But it’s ok, I found a excellent Vet and staff to take all 3 of my dogs now. . Run from Animal Health Clinic if you love your pups RUN!!! *Update, I ask for my 3 dogs medical records and was told they will email them to another vet, I said I would like them myself to match up what they say they did and what they charged me. Well the lady that answered the phone said they don’t do it that way. When I gave her my lawyers name she responded that Sandy will call me and I said fine I would like her too. Then I was told she don’t have to take this that she will have my records available in 2 to 3 weeks and hung up rudely on me again!!

Dr. Sandy Smith is so great, took our recently adopted dog to her for a couple different concerns and she made sure he was comfortable the whole time while he was getting checked out. Everyone is so welcoming and friendly too. Best experience we've had at a vet in a long time. Thank you so much Sandy & team!

Some of my favorite people work here. They are so patient with my dogs and I and make sure we are confident in treatment and their ability to provide care. I recommend them to everyone who needs vet care.

Still go there even though it's gotten more expensive. Liked it better when it was a small hole in the wall, but now they have a new location/building. Still are great with your pet loved ones, but now you pay.

Dr. Sandy Smith and the staff at the Animal Health Clinic in Fenton are amazing. I'm actually tearing up writing this review. They have gone above and beyond for myself and my family so many times I couldn't begin to narrow down all the ways they have helped us through the good times and the bad - everything from puppy shots to final moments. I could tell you a million stories about how this caring group of people has made me feel like my dog is the most important pet in the world, whether the diagnosis is big things like a degenerative disease or the smallest need - like a nail trim. Instead, I'll tell you a story that my parents told me when they were bringing their dog to this clinic during the COVID-19 pandemic. Everyone had to stay in the car for safety and my parents' dog was inside with a technician when a truck pulled into the parking lot. The driver was frantic and in the passenger seat was his dog who had a terrible accident. This animal was going to die, her heart was out of her chest, her ribs broken, and Dr. Sandy rushed out, pushed the organs back into place with her hands and bound the dog until they could get her to an emergency clinic that had the equipment needed to handle surgical injuries of that magnitude. My mom later told me that dog would have died without Dr. Sandy, whose work - right there in the parking lot - saved the day. Both my parents and the Animal Health Clinic made sure to follow up with the owners and make sure the dog was okay - and the dog wasn't even her client. I think its an amazing story, and its not even my own. I'm probably not telling it very well since I wasn't there personally. I just know how thankful I am for this team and there aren't enough yelp reviews (or google? Where am I?) in the world to sing the praises of this team enough. I am a customer for life. I have taken my dogs to Animal Health Clinic for years. Everyone there is awesome. You will love the doctors. Dr Sandy has been taking care of my animals for many years. I trust her and Dr Sandy has become a friend that always goes the extra mile and considers my feelings along with the pets. Thank you for everything you all do every day.

A friend had a really bad experience with the employees here being very unprofessional, and she is someone who is doesn’t have a confrontational bone in her body. She left extremely upset. I’ve lived in Fenton my whole life, I will never give this place my business or suggest anyone else to take pets here. If they can treat someone like my friend that way, imagine how they treat animals.

Dr Sandy and her crew are some of the best people taking care of my precious pup. I took him in this week for wound healing and they used their therapeutic laser on him and within a couple days he was mostly better and one more treatment and he is back to normal. I have know about therapeutic laser therapy but watching the results in front of my eyes was really impressive. The treatment is comfortable and simple for my dog and now he is well! Thanks Dr Sandy!!!

I have been taking my dogs here for over 10 years! Dr. Sandy and her staff always go above and beyond for our fur family. From the receptionist to the techs, everyone is great! We have 3 dogs, 1 which has had medical issues since he was young, Dr. Sandy walked me through every step and even came in early to save my Duke when it was a close call. All three of my dogs get excited when we go there, they are greatly cared for when there. I wouldn't take my animals anywhere else! Thank you to everyone who works there for loving our animals as much as I do :) We appreciate you all so much! Bentley, Duke and Moose love you guys!

They care about one thing: money. Multiple trips, tests and bills to treat what my breeder believed to be routine. Terrible wait times. Charged for a service not received. Very confrontational when inquired about this charge. Apparently, unequipped to trim my GSD’s nails. Had issues with them while they cared for my last dog too but tried them again due to convenience/location. I’ll be making the drive elsewhere going forward.

After an argument between my husband and the workers here I decided to go and have my pets records released for a new vet. What I thought would be a quick easy process, wasn’t! The dr had to come out and let me know how awful my husband was. I explained his time is valuable as is everyone’s and he has patients who rely on him too. The vet then asked me where his work place was? I didn’t feel comfortable saying because that’s an odd question but she said she could just look it up if she wanted too! I also forgot about a credit we used and instead of just showing me where we used it, I received a lesson on how to subtract! Obviously not coming back here.

We have always been extremely happy with Dr Sandy and her staff. I had a family new to the Fenton area from Wisconsin. Their 3 dogs are their world. I recommended they go to Animal Health Clinic. This new family was blown away with the service, knowledge and compassion. Dr Sandy and her staff are the BEST.

Dr. And staff are always pleasant. I am new to the area and we got a 6 week old pup we started bringing in, is a guaranteed 45 to 1 hr wait for them to even get to your appointment slot. My 12pm appointment just got taken in at 12:59. And I bet I won't get the dog back till almost 1:30 if not later. I have an appointment next week with 2 dogs...I have to clear my schedule I guess...

Will not allow pet parents inside with the dog; asked for me to hand over my credit card so they could take it inside with them (away from me) so I don’t have to give my number over the phone?? In a panic of course I have it to them; now I’ll be watching my credit ; bad business practice and I’ll be debating coming back next time.

I have been going to this vet with my cat since she was a baby. They usually are able to fit me in pretty quickly & always treat my cat with the most outstanding professionalism. They truly care about your pet and understand how important they are to you. I recently moved to a new area & my cat has had some issues adjusting. I was worried she might have an emergency so I wasn’t able to come here. I took her to an emergency vet & they treated my cat so poorly that I regretted not coming to the animal health clinic. It has been a few days since I took her & animal health clinic called to check on my cat because she went to emergency. I thought it was extremely compassionate, especially since the last place I visited couldn’t have cared less about my cat. It’s the extra steps they take at the animal health clinic that are so important. They’ve also been my vet for a couple childhood pets & they were so always so great to them, even through their final days. Thank you for your wonderful staff and practice. Next time, it will be worth the drive to take my cat here, knowing she is in good hands.

They have late nights and compassionate staff. They treat your pet like family. Well worth the money.

Dr. Sandy and her staff are the most caring and professional staff of pet care professionals I have encountered. Since moving tonthe area in 2017 I have trusted my furbabies to this practice and have had nothing but great experiences with both vets and all office and tech staff. I strongly recommend them to anyone. They love your pets as if they were their own.

Love this place! I take all 3 of my cats here, and with my most recent one (a stray we found and couldn’t pinpoint the gender), they even gave me a gender reveal by using a blue sharpie with a silver cap! They always take the best care of my kitties and I can tell they definitely come first, and they always help you with a smile :) definitely recommend, friendliest and caring staff I’ve seen!
