They were fabulous!!! I don’t know what I would have done that day. They got me right in and gave me all the medicines for Harley. He is walking so much better. I highly recommend them!!!

Since the owner decided to leave a sarcastic response, let me explain my 1 star review. (I wish I had seen their responses to bad reviews in the past - how UNPROFESSIONAL!) I took my cat in with smelly breath, lethargic, a fever, not eating, discharge from eye, and a slew of other symptoms and I’m quite sure the vet didn’t even examine him (I had to wait in the car since I’m a single mom with a toddler.) Vet came out, didn’t have the best attitude and said it was probably an allergy to his food. Prescribed a $30 CRUNCHY cat food and a laxative to help with hair balls. Also asked for a stool sample to get examined. Said if that didn’t help next step would be to send out for $500 lab work to Texas. I brought in 2 stool samples and charged more money. Out about $200 at this point I believe. A week later my cat ends up at the emergency vet for a tooth abscess and needs extraction ASAP. Said it’s been like that for awhile for how bad it looked. Clearly my cats mouth was never examined and no wonder he wasn’t eating, his poor mouth hurt! (And I just paid $30 for crunchy food!!! AND the laxative - that poor cat!!) The ER gave him some antibiotics and he was doing better within 48 hours. So no, I did not bring in for a recheck and get lab work that was unnecessary. I thank God I didn’t take him to you again and spend that extra money that I don’t have. You should be ashamed of yourself for your responses to paying customers. *Responding to your update. My cat NEVER had diarrhea. He was lethargic and had bad breath and wasn’t eating. FYI he had an oral tumor and has now died. Thanks for your concern ????.

My dog Xenia injured her back and I was looking for a veterinarian who could see her as an emergency. They saw Xenia within a few hours and was able to treat her immediately to help her with the pain. Great place. Very reasonably priced. Xenia is home resting well.

I have never in my life taken any of my animals to a veterinarian that does not break down the expense before Any decisions are made. This place is very unprofessional. And the owners response to all these reviews that she doesn’t like it’s just ridiculous!! Just admit when you’re wrong or your office is wrong. Or are you a narcissist?

I have been taking my cats to Arbor Pointe for 23 years and found the service and care to be excellent. They are kind and friendly as well. I highly recommend them.

We were able to get an appointment quickly when our older Pomeranian was having breathing issues. Unfortunately after X-rays and examination she was diagnosed with congestive heart failure that was untreatable. We did appreciate the office staff and doctor however we wish we had known they don’t euthanize at their clinic. After getting this terrible news we had to find another vet to have her put down. All I can say is it made a horrible situation just a little worse. We were able to find another local vet to put her to sleep which was probably a little less expensive than going to an actual emergency vet. But it just made us go through the trauma essentially twice.

My mother brought her dog in to be checked out. They asked her if she wanted them to do an X-ray on her dog and she replied YES. They did NOT explain that ONE X-ray was $235 until they were all done and now She cannot get her dog back until she can pay. She knew she had to pay for meds , rabies shot, etc... but was not aware of the X-ray amount. This vet is a scam! I think this is absolutely cruel and unprofessional!!!!!! This place should be shut down! That’s like keeping your child from you! Tell PEOPLE THAT IT COSTS AND MAKE SURE THEY HAVE THE AMOUNT BEFORE YOU PERFORM ANY PROCEDURES!!! You don’t keep someone’s animal from them when you didn’t warn them! I WOULDNT WANT YOU PEOPLE TOUCHING MY ANIMALS !!!!!! You shouldn’t even get ONE star!!!!! Update - they have no credentials, awards, or inspections done since 2018. The staff is all rude. The doctor was decent may we add but get some new women working and WARN PEOPLE OF PRICES! Don’t keep their animals from them over money that you didn’t explain in the very beginning. It’s a pandemic out here! People struggled and you do this? It’s not humane and this vet needs a huge inspection on employees and how there are vicious canines not contained. Just ready to come out and bite you if you open the door. Be my guest but I would not go here !!!!!just saying.

Didnt have a vet up this way and my cat really hurt her leg. Spent hours trying to find somewhere to go not an emergency place. No one would see me inside of two weeks till I called here. Got me in that day even having never been there, helped my and my kitty, so this place is now my vet even though like 4 times further away from quite a few places around me

I needed a Vet today because my Vet of 30 years couldn’t get my pup in for a cough. This place was amazing. Accommodating, professional, and great for my pup. He got checked by an amazing tech and doctor and got lots of love. He ended up with kennel cough. So I’m happy to say he’s on the mend. Thank you. We will be back! Douglas and I appreciate your customer service.

Dr Peete was amazing he saved our little boys life while he was knocking on deaths door. Lincoln was to his normal vet and an er vet and was recommended he see an internal medicine doctor which we could not get into until September. Lincoln was diagnosed with epi which is the inability to break down his food in the pancreas. In a nut shell he was starving to death, Dr Peete figure out with the help of medicine Lincoln can live a happy long life ❤️

They worked on the wrong leg for 3 months!! Then were mean and belittling. I was referred from my vet to arbor Pointe for therapy for my 8yr old old. He has arthritis in his back and back left leg so he started to walk only on 3 legs and hop. Reason for bad review: THEY WERE GIVING MY DOG ACUPUNCTUREON THE WRONG LEG. I started acupuncture and wasn't seeing any results for 3 months so I aske for a better solution so they advised the pen therapy I tired that. More expensive. Due to covid I wasn't allowed in so I couldn't see what areas they were working onTheir excuse was that the previous vet said it was the other leg and it's the first ive heard of it being the left leg. He Can't Walk on the leg leg it's obvious!! Terrible place. Very mean and rude when I asked for an explanation. Please don't go here!!!! I read the reviews and saw a few bad ones. It's for a reason! I drove an hour each time and left crying more than once and I'm not a crier. Terrible!!!! FYI they left needles in his back and said he s no big deal. They don't count the needes it's too time consuming.? That's Nuts!

Thanks to the Dr. Petty and the staff/Beth I have more knowledge about my dogs. They always call you back and take the time to explain everything. I am very happy and pleased to have come to this clinic. Thank you from Cookie and Sage!

Our 10 year old lab could barely walk until I took her here. The people are super nice. The acupuncture therapy has helped her to be able to play with her brothers again. Highly recommend.

I found Dr. Petty on Google. My 12 year old French Bulldog is experiencing some back pain and I didn't just want to give him pills. I was looking specifically for a Vet who did adjunct therapy like acupuncture and laser treatments. I simply can't say enough nice things about Dr. Petty, the vet techs, and the receptionist. The reason I like this practice is they really care about your pet. Dr. Petty doesn't try to push meds or treatments that aren't going to be the best therapy for your animal. After the vet that I had been taking my pets to retired, I have had a hard time finding a vet I felt most at home with taking my pets to for care. Dr. Petty and the staff at Arbor Pointe are simply amazing!

I have been a long time patient of this vet. My family pets have been going here for years, my cats, my dog, and I even have referred multiple friends and family members here. I’m so upset by what went on today. My German shepherd was overdue for a wellness exam and shots due to Covid. He is a reactive dog. I spoke to the staff and everyone seemed to be certain they could accommodate him. I was told I was getting 3 doses of trazadone (free of charge) for him so that we could make sure it worked before his appt. I drove 30 mins from West Bloomfield to pick it up, it was one dose, and I was charged. No big deal. I called and spoke to a very nice lady who was apologetic. Letting me know we would be allowed in with our dog and that she’s had multiple shepherds in the past and was familiar with the breed. I felt really comfortable. This morning, my husband took our dog. Dr. Petty walked in the room for all of 30 seconds and denied seeing him. After he was given trazadone the recommended 90 mins before his appt, even though he was muzzled and contained. Literally sitting next to my husband with his arm around him. Dr. Petty is inexperienced with large breed and reactive dogs. My dog barked. Of course he’s going to bark when a man is walking in the room with him that he isn’t super familiar with. I’m shocked and disappointed. 30 min drive there and back to pick up medication. Drugged my dog. 30 min drive there and back again plus a morning off work for Dr. petty to take one look at him. MIND YOU MY DOG HAS NEVER BIT NOR CAME CLOSE TO BITTING ANYONE. STAY AWAY FROM THIS VET WITH YOUR LARGE BREED PETS. Hi there husband here ???? my dog did bark my dog did not however lunge at you or anyone else in the office you literally looked at my dog for all of 30 seconds and refused service stating you weren't going to put your staff at risk even with me right next to him and muzzled. Jameson seemed nervous of the female staff member who walked me in and took me back to weigh him but was not aggressive towards her. Instead of trying to talk to my dog or make him feel more comfortable whatsoever (being that my dog was already drugged with a large dose even for his weight) you stood in the door as if you were new to the breed and seemed really unprofessionally about the whole situation. I only stated I would take him to see a female vet somewhere else after you wanted to put him in a head restraint instead of acknowledging the situation and the way he must have been feeling in an unfamiliar place and under the influence of drugs that you guys provided. There was no need for any of this and all of this could have been avoided by simply stating so during our first phone call rather then drug a dog and then refuse service after he barked at a strange man standing in the door that didn't even try acknowledging him. My 8month old son handles this dog everyday he has never once been aggressive but being on a leash and muzzled while drugged a bit too much for ya it seems. Have a great day

I brought my cat in to Arbor Pointe after a terrible experience somewhere else. (My cat was so stressed by the visit, she ended up biting the tech.) After leaving the other vet's office in tears, I did some research online looking for cat-friendly vets. I saw that Arbor Pointe was certified Gold by the American Association of Feline Practitioners. I have to say: they have earned their Gold status! All of the special procedures they put in place to make their office friendly to cats made a world of difference for my pet. They gave me medication to give her beforehand so she would be more relaxed at the visit. When we arrived for her appointment, the staff came out and got her right away. (We waited in my car for over two hours at the other vet's office.) The appointment was quick, too. I was nervous about not being able to go in with her, but the Dr. came out right away to tell me she was doing great and enjoying the treats they were giving her. She didn't even notice when they gave her her shots! The set up and procedure was so calm and welcoming to cats, they heard not a peep out of her the whole time. Everyone I dealt with was friendly, knowledgeable, and compassionate. Me and my cat are very grateful for their service!

A truly five star veterinary hospital, in all aspects. I've never felt safer putting my cat in anyone else's care, Dr. Petty and staff are so forthcoming, professional, and communicative. Won't be going elsewhere!

Very impressed! They were able to treat my dog for a tick near her eye the same day that I called. The staff was very empathetic and professional. It is very clear that the technicians and doctor truly care about providing the best treatment possible. We are happy to have found our new vet!

Dr. Petty, Beth and all the Staff at Arbor Pointe have been so wonderful to my old guy, Reilly. My very first and lasting impression is that everyone there just loves their "job". They are always so happy to see us and treat us with great care and compassion. Thanks to Dr. Petty's very intuitive and quick grasp of my dog's issues, life has become much better for Reilly. My vet in Ann Arbor had diagnosed Reilly with hip arthritis in 2019, and that is what his treatment was focused on. When I saw how Reilly was going downhill last fall, I asked my vet for additional pain meds. At that point, she said maybe it was something else and x-rays were taken. It was discovered that his problem was in his spine and not arthritis. She then recommended acupuncture and gave me a few places to call. No one was able to see him for months, but one of the places i contacted called me back and gave me Dr. Petty's name and number. They fit him in within a week. I believe this is due to a very efficiently run office and a genuine concern for an animal in pain. Not only is Reilly getting acupuncture and treatment for his spine, but Dr. Petty was concerned about the allergy symptoms that Reilly was exhibiting. He made some suggestions for treatment and it has made a huge difference in the quality if Reilly's life. I believe that Dr. Petty is aware of new and progressive ways to provide treatment. I should mention that Reilly is a very timid and shy guy, but he always seems to be comfortable when he gets picked up at the car to got in for treatment.

Absolutely amazing! Dr. Petty and his staff are wonderful, caring, compassionate and experienced. Love the ladies there, they are the best! My 10 yr old girl (chihuahua mix) was having disc issues and was at risk of needing surgery. After receiving a couple sessions of acupuncture she was doing so much better. She still goes, but Dr. Petty has spaced the visits out more with her improvement. He was not my original vet but I won't be taking my animals anywhere else!

Absolutely best vet ever!! He cares about the animals like their his own. I will only take my cat here. My poor kitty ate a Lilly last Easter which are extremely toxic. My baby wouldn’t be here now if it wasn’t for arbor pointe.

This is by far the best veterinary practice I have ever been to. Dr. Petty, Beth and their entire team are all so wonderful! They always get my dogs in fast when I have an emergency, and the quality of care given to them (and to me) is outstanding. I highly recommend bringing your fur babies here! They will get great care.

Medications are extremely marked up. Charged us $45 for medications that I found at Walmart for $16. We literally picked up the medications without bringing the dog in, so this is not including an exam fee. I understand the need to make a profit, but charging us 3x what the medication actually costs just seems greedy. I looked up several other medications that they provided us in the past, and they are all extremely marked up. I will be transferring to Griffith, where it appears they care more about the health of the animals instead of just making a quick dollar. No wonder why this is one of the few vets in the area available for appointments during COVID!

I've brought a few of my pets to this location, and each time I came I was met with amazing service. Dr Petty and his staff are all wonderful people to talk with, and do their job with compassion, empathy, and talent. They've helped my family and I out numerous times in uncertain and stressful situations, and their involvement each time resulted in true quality work, and the help and care we needed in times of worry. They put great care into their work in the animals, as well as their communications and interactions with their human customers. 100% suggest coming here!
