Somerset Dog Grooming Bloomfield Hills, Michigan

When I adopted my schnauzer Kahpree two years ago, I called in for a first time grooming appointment for my little 11 pound bundle of love with Ms. Jill who is AWESOME!

When I saw my beautiful dogs after being groomed I was blown away with how absolutely flawless of a job groomer Paige did. I will definitely be returning and give this location an outstanding 5 stars. I Love the Bloomfield location and Paige was absolutely amazing and kind and beyond professional!

Amazing job you guys. Everyone so attentive and polite. They are great with all my dogs ( 2 litte ones and 2 big ones ) Highly recommend

There are two things I like best about Somerset Dog Grooming. One is that the people their are flexible about when you can drop your dog off. If they schedule the work for the afternoon, I can drop the dog off at the beginning of the day, and pick the dog up at the end of their work day. The other important reason is that they are relatively gentle with my 85 lb goldendoodle. My first experience there was a modest cut and there were no nicks and scratches on Bob. My second experience was a very short haircut because he had ticks. There were some problems but I could forgive that considering how closely they had to shave him.

I brought my dog in for a full service grooming including a shave. I was on time for the appointment and was told to come back in three hours. When I came back nothing was done. The guy said come back in thirty minutes. During that time they washed her and blew her out. That was all that was done. They were busy with other dogs.

I took my Malti-Chon Johaan for a grooming after forever... being a malti-chon you know they can get pretty matted. When I first called, they were so incredibly nice and gave me an appointment so quickly !! When I took him in, they so politely told me it was likely he’d need a full on shaving, and of course it needed to be done. Well, my Johaan is crazy nervous, and is very protective of his paws and toenails due to a prior bad experience. They did a great job, and most of all they are so kind, and clearly are very gentle with the pets... I asked if he was difficult, and she was so sweet and said “No, he was perfect” (which I’m positive he was not). I will definitely be taking my fur baby back, and if you haven’t tried Somerset Grooming, I definitely suggest that you do, you will be happy with their excellent customer service a well as the grooming... Thank You !! ☺️

They are really great! Fit my wild medium sized puppy in same day , groomed her in 2 hours and were so kind. Other groomer said she was too wild to cut her face, but they said she was a normal puppy and they were happy to work with her. And she looks great too!

Generally good grooming with good availability and reasonable price, and flexibility. The reason I'm not giving 4 stars is appointments are not really consistent. I dropped my dog off for an appointment for 10:30am Saturday, and they called complete at 2:30pm. My dog is terrified of groomers, so she doesn't like that schedule, nor would I if I was busy that day.

Excellent place to take your fur baby for bathing and Grooming. Friendly staff, very accommodating dog looks gorgeous!!

This place does a wonderful job. Called them and was able to get in very quickly. My dog has never been to a groomer before and for a affordable price they were able to bathe, brush and trim his nails. Hes a very large dog but they didnt seem to mind. I'd happily recommend them to anyone. Will be returning soon

My mini goldendoodle had a grooming appointment on Monday June 2nd at the Bloomfield location. His hair was a little longer than normal due to the COVID-19 pandemic but NOT matted and could be brushed through easily. It should not have required a shave, and could have been done with scissor shears if they wanted to spend the time. Even if they did need to shave certain areas, it shouldn’t have broken the skin. He has severe clipper burn and rashes on his underarms, belly and butt. After taking him to the vet, they made him wear a cone, and prescribed a steroid and an antibiotic mousse to prevent further infection because the sores were open, and he was CRYING and whimpering nonstop due to the itchy, painful areas. I do not know if this was done in a hurry and they are simply shaving all dogs no matter what to save time, but it is unacceptable. They should refund my grooming payment, and cover the cost of his vet prescribed steroids and mousse that were needed to treat the areas. I do not want any other customers to deal with what we and my poor puppy are dealing with now. AVOID.

The staff is always happy and kind. And my dog is always excited to go. The stylist always understands the style I'm looking for.

They totally hacked my spaniel's beautiful coat. My son went to pick her up and paid them. When he brought my dog home I called them and requested a refund. The manager refused. My son tried to dispute the charge through the card company but again the manager refused. Pretty disappointed in this company's service and management to say the least.

This Place is the "Best". Accidentally walked into their lobby a day before they officially opened. Mike introduced himself and said be sure and come back tomorrow because we take walk-ins too. His team did such an excellent job on my giant Schauzer, I haven't taken Zoey any place else...

I've been bringing my dog here for years. I am super happy with the services and the staff. I used to take my dog to Pet Smart years back and I feel way more comfortable getting my dog groomed here.

It doesn't matter if I take my buddy to the Bloomfield location or the Troy location he receives a awesome cut and he loves the friendly staff at both locations. Somerset is the only groomers I would (and do)recommend
