Dog-O-Mat 2 Ann Arbor, Michigan

I bring my Blue Heeler in for a monthly bath and we both have a great experience. It's a Self serve bath service. I clean my dog , they clean the mess. What could be simpler? This is my Fourth dog using Dog o Mat.... We're thankful for this business and the wonderful owner !

I have been here twice. Both times were great. I opted for self service. Doggie shampoo, conditioner, and no-tears face wash were all provided, as well as ear cleaner....cotton balls, towels, etc. After a nice warm shower in the doggie bathtub, it's over to the drying station, with a lovely high powered blow dryer (with heat) for sigs. I spent 30-45 minutes here washing and grooming my 90lb lab. The best part? The hair doesn't go down my drain at home. Staff is great. Helpful to first time visitors too.

I took both of my dogs in September to be groomed by Stephanie. One is very skittish---she was so great with both of them (goldendoodle, maltese mix)---I am so happy I found them. When we picked them up they were so calm and happy.

This place is awesome! It has everything you need to wash your dog, including body soap, ear cleaner with cotton balls, and tear free face soap. Towels and wash rags are also included. You simply clip your dog in to keep them in place, and select the shower head with lukewarm water. They've thought of everything! I also recently had my dog's nails clipped here. My dog is a nervous type, but both Beth and Anne were so sweet, incredibly helpful, and I could tell they love and enjoy dogs. Would recommend 1000%

Why there aren't more places like this I don't know. They have clean easy to use facilities and are very helpful.

I took my senior dog here for years up until the month he passed on. The kindness and love they had for my sweet boy doesn’t compare. The last time we went both of the women working were so sweet: could see he was old and frail and complimented me through him “You have a great mom loving you through this...” He’s been gone from me for 2 years now and I still think of how much they cared for my best friend and first baby. Thank you so much

This was my sensitive dog’s first visit and I couldn’t be happier. Anna made her as relaxed as possible and gave her a top rate grooming. We have found our new groomer!

We tooknour big fluffy baby for her (self-serve) pre-Christmas do. The staff were so friendly and helpful! The elevated tubs with wide platform steps for Shamar to walk up were very convenient. Fantastic over all experience!

Always does a good job with my husky, which is a feat itself.

Great place with wonderful staff

I love taking my lab here. Staff is amazing and will help with any issues that might come about from coaxing your dog in the bath to showing you the best way to remove hair.

I have taken my boys (two shelties) here over the years and I have never been disappointed. The staff is very helpful, no matter how busy they are. There is always someone there to help with whatever the grooming needs are: nail trim, tips and advice for self grooming care, or just making sure you have plenty of shampoo, conditioner and towels. I love the fact that the staff's friendly dogs hang out at the shop (the new golden is adorable!) They truly love dogs here.

I brought my dog (Sheltie/Pom mix) here for the first time for a bath and cut. I specified that I wanted his top coat trimmed, and for his bottom coat to not be touched. I've never had to clarify this with a dog groomer before (most know that you absolutely do not shave the bottom coat, for health reasons and because it may not grow back as nicely). But, I wanted to be extra clear since this was my first time here. When I came back for him, I found that he had been shaved very short! Not only was my request completely ignored, but it was a poor job. His ears weren't touched, long strands were left. all over his body, etc. I was in shock - I paid and left. I spent an hour fixing him up at home. $50, and his coat may be permanently damaged, and, while it's growing back, he's been left susceptible to skin health issues. Obviously won't be back and am advising folks to steer clear.

I took my mini dachshund puppy here for her first groom and I could not have asked for a better experience! Beth was so patient and kind, and even was willing to teach me how to groom her myself if I wanted. She gave Lilo natural treats during the process and let me stay with her the entire time. Highly highly recommend going here, I have nothing bad to say!

My doggie (sheltie mix) is a SUPER nervous and anxious dog. He freaked out at another groomer, so I decided to bring him here. BEST. DECISION. EVER. We had everything that we needed to give our dog a bath. We brought our own treats just in case. So convenient. I would say just call before you come as the hours on Google aren't right. But it was a great experience and super affordable. We will be coming back soon.

This place is great! They have been around for years. I hate bending down to wash the dog in my bathtub at home, so it's great to bring her here. It's affordable and fun. I also use the hair dryer for a few extra bucks, and occasionally get her nails trimmed. The owner and staff are lovely and helpful.

I’m going to visit a friend this weekend with my dog who is shedding like crazy (humane society thinks she’s part husky) so i needed to get her groomed. I haven’t found a groomer in Ann Arbor i likes so i never got around to making an appointment. I went in to see if they had any appointments available. They didn’t but they said i could do the self groom. I decided to try it even though she hates being brushed by me. It worked great! I’m sure i couldn’t get as much as her fur as a groomer could but i managed to get a lot. The staff is so friendly and helpful and clearly really care about dogs! They provided the brushes, shampoo, bath basin, towels and even treats! I had such a great experience here and will definitely be coming back!

I do the self wash here which is great. Convenient and comfortable. They provide everything you need. Extra charge to use the dryer.
