Brought my dog in to have a lump removed and they come back with, "While she's getting surgery, we should also extract a cracked tooth." Since the dog is 12 and the cracked tooth is the only known issue (lump hasn't been tested), I asked if we could just do the tooth. I was honest with the vet that every time the dog goes to see someone, there's suddenly all these additional charges and procedures that need to occur. I mentioned how I'm frustrated and don't know what to do, I just want the dog to be taken care of. Well, apparently if you are skeptical at all that's a cardinal sin to these unprofessional "doctors". They refused to help the dog at all and let me know in writing opposed to a conversation. Like most vets, this place takes advantage of its customers, isn't transparent and will put their personal sensitivities over the welfare of their patients.

Attempted to set up a new patient appointment for a dog I rescued and was informed that I couldn’t get an appointment for >2 months. I asked if there was any possibility to at least get his necessary vaccine booster or prescription for monthly preventatives in the meantime while waiting for appointment, and was told no. Ultimately, I ended up going with a different vet instead, and my pup was just diagnosed with a condition that requires surgery, therefore I’m very happy that I chose not to wait it out. I’ve heard absolutely excellent things about Dr. Thorne, but if you’re unable to keep up with appointments, then you shouldn’t be accepting new pets.

This clinic has the most wonderful, professional, and compassionate staff and doctors! Beautiful location, new and clean looking! My dogs love coming here!

Best vet in the state!!! Great team and atmosphere

Dr. Thorne and everyone who works here are truly the best; very knowledgeable, kind and accommodating. Dr. Thorne has taken care of my two rescue cats for almost 2 years, figuring out the best plan to get them well as both had medical issues when I adopted them. I highly recommend Veterinary Services of Westwood.

Dr. Thorne and her staff are the best of the best. My 18 year old blind miniature pincher receives amazing care and love at every visit. I checked many vets in the area when I moved here and I'm very happy with my choice.

Every single person you interact with at this practice is professional, knowledgeable, kind and compassionate. We have worked with Dr. Thorne and members of her staff for years and our experience has been wonderful every single time. They clearly love animals and everyone made us feel like our pets were the absolute best cats they had ever met! They will take great care of you and your pets!

Dr. Thorne, Lisa and Megan are amazing. My dog has Addison's disease and is rather high maintenance and a frequent flyer at the Vet. I followed Dr. Thorne and her staff from her old office because I have been thrilled with the comprehensive and loving care my dog receives. The new and beautiful office is a huge bonus with its high tech features (computerized record keeping, in house blood lab, xray), but I would have followed the practice anyway. I'm confident my dog is getting the best care possible.

First, Dr Thorne, Lisa and Megan are all such caring, professional, thorough, organized amazing women. We rest easy knowing our family dog is under such wonderfully capable and intelligent hands. Next, the facility. Wow. So well executed. From comfortable cushioned benches in the wait area to spacious examination rooms to a state of the art x-ray machine that moves instead of the staff having to move your pet! Lab work on site, clean and state of the art operating area. I am not related to nor did I know any of the staff here - my review is completely unsolicited and honest. These people think of everything and REALLY care about their animals.

Best Veterinary Services we have had. Caring and professional. They treat our 3 cats as if they were their own pets. Wouldn't go anywhere else.
