Had to visit twice in the past year. Their 24-hour availability is excellent. I'm lucky to live within 16 miles of such a facility.

My little buddy Diego (black cat) was diagnosed w lung cancer late this summer. We had chosen Tufts in Walpole because the recommended Oncologist at a different hospital was booked out for months. Sometimes in life, things just work out in your favor. I truly feel this was one of those times. We began working with the Tufts Oncologist Dr. Coffee. This woman is a gift straight from heaven. Any Oncologist can administer chemo, but she responded to all of our excess emails and phone calls as well. I know I can be a lot to handle, especially when it comes to my pets, but she was always responsive, listened, and was very patient with me. It’s very important to understand that when a pet goes through chemo, the pet parents also have to fight the battle. Dr. Coffee was a teammate and fighting alongside us. I don’t often recommend places or people because, in my opinion, people don’t often go above and beyond. Dr. Coffee and the Oncology team were the exception to that rule. They are absolutely amazing and even that is a bit of an understatement. I would 100% put my pets in their hands. It’s great to know that if they have to stay overnight, they would get similar attention to what they got at home. As a pet owner that treats my cats better than humans, thats all we can ask for.

My dog Teddy has chronic conditions. For the past 7 years, he has been a frequent in and out patient. The love, care, and compassion that was given to him goes beyond words. From the receptionists to the wonderful nurses and doctors, you have added years to my Teddy. As I write this, Teddy is inpatient now. He is loved by all. Thank you for everything that you do every day.

Dr. Matsuyuki is an incredible vet. Our dog needed to be brought to the ER as she was reaching the end of her life, and Dr. Matsuyuki was there to treat her. She was very compassionate and communicative during the whole process. After our dog had passed, she sent us a personal note with our dog's paw prints. It was very unexpected and incredibly thoughtful. We couldn't have been more thankful to have her as a vet during a difficult time.

I would second guess bring your pets here..had a very bad experience all they care is about money even when it's there fault and where they messed up in surgery.the vet Dr are very rude on the phone hang up on you when all you want to know how ur pet is doing..i guess that is what I get for letting a teaching school operate on a family pet.now we are lost without are family pet

Vets and staff have been excellent with my elderly cat with a heart condition. I have dealt with their cardiology service and also their emergency department more recently. The cardiologist (Dr. Bulmer) is very professional and knowledgeable, the staff in cardiology is always very nice, accommodating, and professional. Same with the emergency department, I was very stressed to leave my cat there during a significant heart failure event and the staff was so reassuring. I was afraid my cat was going to die there. They sent me a picture of my cat everyday he was there, it was so nice of them to do that. The transitions between care teams during day/night shifts seemed excellent as i spoke to several staff members and vets throughout my cat's stay there and they were always on top of things. Tufts vet emergency services is a very busy place and it can sometimes be difficult to reach them (for non urgent matter, of course!) But it's ok, they always take the time to get back to you. As a final note, I find it's cheaper to get meds through them rather than through my regular vet or other online site. Tldr: they're great, take your pet there for emergency and/or if your pet needs to see a specialist ????

All these people care about is money. I’ve been traumatized for months and felt nothing but guilt over the passing of my cat and am just now feeling like it is necessary to post this review in hopes to prevent anyone else from losing a beloved pet to such selfish and rotten people who disguise themselves as “veterinarians” , he was everything to me and I would have done anything to save him. My cat had a sudden urinary blockage that was not showing until it was too late. We rushed him into the vet where I was told I had two minutes to decide whether I pay 2k for a surgery or let him die. They proceeded to predict my own financial state and essentially pushed the decision for me. Then to make matters even worse; as I was holding my poor baby who had been gone a matter of minutes, loudly sobbing and in full panic, the woman comes in and begins immediately pushing payments being absolutely sure to push the most expensive options and taking full advantage of my vulnerable state, it was as if they did not care whatsoever nor did they pretend to. So inconsiderate and fake, awful people who care about nothing but money. Do not take your animals here, they do not care about them or you, they see you as a dollar sign and nothing more. I would have done anything to save my cat, but these people didn’t even give me the chance.

Unfortunately my dog received some very bad news yesterday however I felt compelled to write a review. I am very impressed and pleased with the level of professionalism and service I received at Tufts Veterinary Emergency Services. Even though they were swamped with pets they admitted my dog in a timely fashion and stayed in constant communication with me. Also, for the amount of tests and x-rays they did on my dog I am very impressed with how fast they got things done. Everyone I dealt with was very sincere, understanding and patient. I couldn't recommend TVES more if you are looking for a great place to take your pet.

Bad experience. Our dog had a wound on the bottom of his foot that wouldn't stop bleeding. We called and were told by a rude nurse in their ER that bringing him in would be a waste of their time because it wasn't a real emergency. Fortunately Angell took care of him. Easy to see now where our business will go in the future.

They were very caring staff. My dog had cancer he was well cared for on our visits and we returned when it was time. He passed peacefully with his family around him. The staff gave us privacy and time to say good bye.

I called 3 places for emergency visit at midnight and they were the only one available. My cat has a long history of kidneys and heart disease. We manage to give him a decent 7 years of life but we knew his time was coming. They cared to exam him and do all the blood work necessary. I'm sure if there was anything they could do to save him they would've done.... the staff is very friendly and pleasant. Thank you for seen my Charlie...

Brought my cat in for kidney infection treatment, 2 hours later they called saying she had brain damage and had to be put down…really fishy and bummed about this experience as my cat was not in that state when I left her there.

Always provides excellent services, I have never felt better about leaving my dogs anywhere. We had one of our dogs get serious surgery to remove a section of his small intestine, and I always knew he was in good hands.

They took care of my dog who was severely limping and put out minds at ease with a diagnosis and protocol that are very easy to follow. We're already seeing positive results and I believe our pooch will be ready to rock in a few short weeks.

I'm in RI and when my cat was in extrmeme pain after hours, they were the ONLY place able to take him. Everywhere close turned us away due to being at max capacity. I didn't take any chances and took my little baby to Walpole - 40 minutes away. They came out immediately, kept me posted every step of the way and showed an unbelievable amount of care for my kitty. They even sent a picture of him to me every day he was there! 5/5 stars - absolutely amazing customer service, professionalism and care for the pets that come in.
