Probably one of the best, if not THE best, vet places I have ever been. The set up in the main area was pretty and the rooms were clean and organized, the staff were so kind, and we saw Dr. Couts for my frog. I could tell just how much he cared for animals and their owners from just one visit. Everyone treated us warmly during a sad time for us and I'm so grateful I found this place and set up an appointment. Thank you so much to the entire staff for everything

I had heard positive feedback about this place, however I tried making an appoint just now and the lady that answered the phone was super rude to me and could care less about my business, she told me they were booking 2 weeks out and then offered an appt. for 4 weeks out. I had also requested an appt. online a few days ago, when I asked about that she again was rude and said she didn't check her email. I guess I won't be supporting my local VCA as a long time standing Wakefield resident. To. many options and good vets and most of all don't like ignorant rude people.

Was 15 minutes late for my appointment due to traffic. I had the courtesy to call about it and refuse to see me. Been going there for 8 years, always made me wait for my appointments. The lady was rude and not helpful.

Love this place. I always know my dog is well cared for when he is here. Dr. Kruze is amazing. She is so compassionate and caring and I know she truly cares about my dog. The entire office staff, techs, vets are always welcoming.

I switched to this vet during the pandemic from another vet practice in the area. The staff and vets at VCA have been nothing but professional, caring, and helpful- you can tell they really care about their clients and all of the animals. Since becoming a client at this practice we have had two instances with two separate pets where we’ve needed to make an emergency appointment. Both times the office made sure to find time to see our pets and give the them the best care. I would recommend VCA Wakefield to anyone looking to have peace of mind with the care of their pets.

We took our kittens here when we first got them partly based on a recommendation and partly because they were the only clinic with available appointments. It was fated because the clinic is great. The vets are very knowledgeable and always willing to explain things while also obviously adoring animals. The vet techs have also all been great, both on the phone and more recently in person. I love that the dogs are on a separate side because, while I love dogs too, it really keeps things much less stressful. I really can't say enough good things. Also the app is awesome!

We are very satisfied with VCA and the excellent care they provide for our dog. We recently lost one of our dogs who was a patient there and although the emergency was handled at Angell West, we received a heartfelt note from her medical team at VCA.

Have always been impressed with the Techs and Vets and have never doubted the level of care; however, this place is way way overbooked which has me feeling like my dog is just another number. A routine vaccination need, you are looking at being booked out a month +. They are generally unreliable if your pet is sick and needs help. My dog recently had a serious medical issue (massive infected abscess, very very high temp, lethargic, not eating), we were turned away by the 3 ER vets we tried because he wasn't "actively dying." We called here (his normal vet) for help and they wouldn't even give us an appointment, not even for the next day! They make you play the game of calling the next morning, right when they open, to maybe grab a canceled appointment. I've done this before and if you aren't the lucky one to have your call answered first, nothing. Emergency appointments need to be set aside for existing patients, you are generally useless if that's not the case. We were luckily able to find another vet to help my dog - they set aside emergency apts as standard practice, they asked us to send a couple photos to them to make sure waiting until the next morning for him to be seen was OK medically, and actually cared about his well being. Can't say the same for VCA, we were just completely brushed aside with no regard. Advice - stop taking on so many new patients and focus on existing, or you will start loosing patients (like us).

Good place, kind staff. My dog visits this hospital all the time, and he loves going to hospital which approved their professionals. Doctor Kim is very nice and patient. He calls me 2-3 times after every visit to check on my dog. Staffs at the front desk are also very kind and polite. If you are looking for a animal hospital that you can trust, this is the choice.

They took care of my rabbit who was very ill..the dr was super at explaining, the front desk was polite and caring.and KAITLYN took the time to let me just talk and ask questions..even though she was busy. She senced my anxiety for my rabbits issues. . The whole experience was great..comforting and helpful. I won't go to any other vet.

I found a bird in the woods. It was a love bird and it was injured. I brought it to the Wakefield animal hospital and they were so caring and concerned. Thank you for trying to save this little guy's life. My cousin has been coming to this veterinarian for years and they've always treated her so well and her dogs.

We had a very negative experience. I'm sure some of this was their rigidity with allowing owners to come in even with vaccines even when all other vets were allowing masked owners in. Regardless we had a experience where a vet tech admitted he was aggressive with our dog. We were very distrssed but stuck in a contact for one year plus we could not get in anywhere with covid. The staff admitted he was unprofessional and had a negative history and the medical director called us. We never felt comfortable. This dog is a service animal in hospitals. It was awful. Now he is at a new vet doing well. I had to invest in training to ensure he was comfortable around men after the treatment at this vet. Given the physical distress .. please be aware Be mindful that you have no idea what is happening when you are not bserving your animal'. They claim to be no harm it may be rhetorical.

I took one of my rats here to get a tumor removed here and at first I was scared about the risks of her not making it but after I met the doctor who was preforming the surgery and I knew everything would turn out well. I would recommend this place and only this place from now on. Everyone there is genuinely so nice and they truly care.

We have two guinea pigs we brought them in for a checkup the doctor in the vet tech were very knowledgeable or respectful treated the pet with love very informative

We had an emergency over the weekend. Our normal vet isn't open Sundays so we came here. The staff was excellent and treated our dog wonderfully. He is part chihuahua and is quite the guarder. He bonded with the tech who collected him and chose her to guard. I've never known him to attach so quickly. I highly recommend.

I have been using VCA for a number of years. The vets are caring and take their time. The techs and office staff are also friendly and helpful. They do a great job on heavy duty dentals too.
