I asked for a quote to get my cat's teeth cleaned and they said they couldn't give me one without establishing care first. I explained that I just took my cat to a different vet which was $300 and they quoted me over $2,000 for the teeth cleaning so before I book an initial appointment and incur more costs I'd like a ballpark estimate of their rates. Obviously if they were going to quote me similarly as the other vet why would I spend the time and money establishing care? Although I feel like my question was very reasonable their response was they can't give any estimate without establishing care first. Just rude and insensitive.

Without a doubt the best vet I've ever taken a pet to! We were always able to quickly schedule an appointment and the staff treated my dog with a lot of care and kindness. I can't recommend them enough.

The folks at Huron were great! My cat can be pretty difficult but Dr. McEwan was super gentle and patient with him. Will definitely be returning here for his next checkup.

We love Huron!! We know our fur babies are loved and cared for by their team. The staff truly gets to know each animal on an individual level and are the most competent veterinary staff that I have encountered in all of my years. They are so passionate about what they do. Know that if you go here, your pets will be in the best care.

I’ve used Huron on and off over the last few years, before i got pets of my own I had a foster cat named Earl and Dr Ulrich went above and beyond for Earls care including taking my excessive calls and emails about his health as this kitty was diabetic. (Earl has since been adopted). When I got my shih tzu another cat and now recently my standard poodle, Huron was the first place I called. The staff have always been polite, courteous, and professional and it shows because my pets always go willing inside with them and are always always leave with a wagging tail. My pets have seen Dr Evans, Dr Ulrich AND Dr McEwan all have been an absolute pleasure and blessing to work with. This pet family loves Huron Vet!

Huron will definitely be our vet of choice for as long as we're in the Greater Boston area. We took our cat Mow-Mow to them when we noticed he was losing weight and they had a solution for us in no time at all. Through it all, we were coordinating care via the phone (due to COVID restrictions) when he was inside the vet. Dr. Evans genuinely cares for the animals and it came through in the way she spoke about Mow-Mow and what we needed to do. Unfortunately, he declined very rapidly due to his advanced age (16), so we made the hard decision to take him to Huron & say goodbye. I'm very thankful that they let me and a friend come inside to help him see not just our familiar faces but also his personal vet, Dr. Evans'. The staff was very considerate, compassionate, and professional. We will definitely be bringing our other cat (Morty!) to Huron.

Sadly this practice has gone very much downhill in the last few years. Seems like they are more concerned about volume than quality of care.

We tried to schedule a new client appointment. Unfortunately we couldn't get an immediate appointment (we're a bit in a hurry given my dog's situation) since they're booked out till a couple months later. HOWEVER! The lady who answered our call listened to our situation and was very kind, and had provided us more information about the urgent cares/ERs around, and encouraged us to check with other vet clinics around. Really appreciate that she didn't rush us away even though we didn't end up scheduling any appointment with them.

They take no responsibility for their mistakes. I recently had an incident with the hospital which has soured me to the practice and how I think they really feel about their clients. I will also say up until this point we had been happy with our experience with the vet. We recently moved and went to a new vet. Huron made a mistake (which they admit to) and did not send complete records to the new vet. Because of this mistake, my dog was double vaccinated resulting in adverse effects for my dog and costing me about $400 of unnecessary charges. When I called to express my frustrating and displeasure, Hannah offered a simple “we’re sorry”. I then asked if that was their official response. She then asked me what I think would be fair. I said what would be fair would be a refund on the profit they made on me during that visit and that I am fine paying for the wholesale cost of the vaccine. She said she and Dr. Ulrich are the ones that decide on refunds and they don’t want to give one. She reiterated that they really care though. I then asked if they really cared then Dr. Ulrich would call me back before he left for the day. He did not call which answers that question.

We've been taking our cats to Huron Vet for the last 6 years, and have been really pleased with our experience. As health professionals ourselves, we are savvy and likely inquisitive to the point of being annoying - how it is! - and the vets and staff of Huron have always been happy to meet us where we are at, think through complicated medical decisions, and be transparent about the cost & risk of various options. We have never felt pressure to make decisions due to finances - we definitely have consistently felt they are making suggestions based on what is best for our cats. We highly recommend them!

Very nice staff and easy to work with. Due to COVID they weren’t allowing people inside, but the drop off and pick up process of our dog was very smooth. We also got to chat with the doctor on the phone during the examination, which was nice.

Dr. Ulrich and Dr. Evans are amazing. We have been patients there for 15 years. They took such good care of our pug all the way to his last breath. So when we got a rescue puppy we went right back and received such amazing care as well. They really care about the animals and spoil them rotten when they have to be seen. We always get same day appointments when something arises and all of our issues are always resolved. Our fur babies are well loved there and we love being patients there.

Dr. McEwan is fantastic! He's been so patient with us as new pet owners and has taken such good care of our pup. She had a few bouts of illness with an initially weak puppy immune system, but Dr. McEwan helped her through it and kept us calm! Now we have a healthy adolescent pup!

We spend lot of money for our cat who was dealing with an UTI and peeing blood, and they repeatedly gave him pain relief and antiinflammatories. They even run an X-ray and saw nothing. After the third relapse (almost 2 months in total) we eventually changed our vet and on the first attempt with strong antibiotics, an ultrasound, and a change of dry and wet food, our cat is fine.
