I like this pets store.

Self wash station for the doggy

The self wash grooming bays are awful. $15 for a dirty facility (we went at 9am when they open), no shampoo in the machine, and an extremely weak dryer that powers less than a home hair dryer. Crickets are crawling on the floor. Very disappointing

This place has gone to ruin. From the door to grooming, I saw no fewer than five puddles of pee on the floor, and employees were just stepping over it. No paper towels or cleaning supplies at the station. The merchandise is an absolute mess - harnesses, leashes and costs just thrown on the ground, most things out of their original packaging from people trying it on their dogs and no way to tell what size it is. Very sad to see, as this place did look really nice when new.

I tried for 3 days to set up an appointment to get my dog's nails grinded down. I finally decided to just go there and take a chance that they could do it. I generally see Christine, who is wonderful, but she wasn't in. Another woman helped me and was just as nice and did a great job. My gripe is the price went from $15 to $20 bucks for a three minute procedure. The kicker was the additional "materials fee" of $1.05 charge. What the hell does the $20 fee cover? You went up by $5 then added another BS charge! This is just greed and taking advantage of people.

This petco grooming salon is horrible. Wasted my time. I made an appointment to get my cat groomed and I told them my cat was not easy, but given an educated groomer who knows how to handle a cat (and they told me they had a cat groomer), they should be able to groom. My cat is not aggressive, he can get grumpy at strangers but does not attack groomers, as he’s been groomed before by a mobile cat groomer. I dropped him off and they told me a couple hours. I get a call 20 minutes later stating “he got hissy and attacked a groomer,” and said sorry he just wasn’t having it. ANY cat groomer knows of course cats don’t like to be groomed but it’s necessary. He needed a kitty muzzle and that would’ve been it. However, they wasted my time. Never coming back here.

Been going to petco for years in Saugus new and old location they had great knowledgeable people ! Now they have people who know Absolutely nothing about aquatics one lady was rude got loud with me over snails !! She continued to argue with me after I told her I will have some else help me ! I loved there great Selection of fish back when Rick was there now they have nothing but sick dead fish they keep betta on there shelf in the back to die because they have no quarantine room !! New people are terrible! When old management was there they had a quarantine room and they medicated all the fish now they just leave them in little cups to die !! I am so done with this place that women was so disrespectful!

Nice place for pet needs

Love this store -Sales staff is always so helpful. Kaleigh, I think is her name is wonderful. Everyone is great also. Definitely recommend this store to my fellow pet owners.

The Petco Saugus store has always been very clean. The displays are neat and easy to find. Associates are friendly and always helpful. Check out is easy and again associates are friendly.

Tried vetco, extremely long wait, trying desperately to upsell their services. Stick with your local vet.

I will NEVER bring my dogs to the vetco again !!! We were only coming in for vaccinations and NOWHERE does it say that it’s a policy to get an exam before vaccinations . KATIE STURGEOUS is conniving, rude, and VERY unprofessional . She is the vetco manager and she was not helpful at all . We had called Vetco Mobile and the Lady on the phone was sweet as pie and was highly professional . This Vetco does not even deserve the 1 star it takes to write a review . PLEASE DO NOT TAKE YOUR ANIMALS HERE .

Today I took my dog ​​to her the grooming appointment.. It was the first time we took her there and the last .. They left her very bad with her terrible unprofessional cut and she is always very calm for her bath and cut. I do not recommend it at all, never take your dogs there.. So sad ????????

Looking into VETCO tried calling on Monday no answer, drove there they are CLOSED Monday and Tuesday. Would had been good if they had the hours on a recording, haven’t used their services, will update if I do

Love this location the best. They always have what I'm looking for. If they don't have it they try and find it.Staff is very knowledgeable and friendly.

The girl gia was so helpful and kind. Usually people just walk by and don't even bother with you. She came right up to us. Other then that it sucks that your prices are so high

I know where everything is and often see relevant new products. The store is very neat and organized well.

Great price for pet care.

I took my dog to Petco in Saugus for a wellness check at Vetco Total Care inside the store. The doctor then highly recommended a six-month supply of a medication to treat fleas, ticks and heartworms. I purchased the recommended medication trusting it was the best for my pet. Next day I had to rush my dog to the emergency room after giving her the first tablet (neurological disturbances). I called Vetco Total Care and explained what happened and asked to return the medication (Petco has a return policy in case your purchase is not approved). They said I could not return the medication but I could donate it to them. They claim "Petco" and "Vetco Total Care" are two different companies. I would not expect this lack of transparency from the company.
