I’ve been taking my dog to daycare here for a couple months and boarded him last week while we were away. After assuring me he’d be fine and taken care of, we picked him up and his back leg was so obviously swollen he couldn’t walk on it and he had a 106 degree fever, was severely dehydrated and had lost 5lbs in the week that he was there. We ended up needing to rush him to the emergency vet and he needed surgery to drain the infection. The vet said if it had gone on for another day or two he could have been dead because the infection was so bad. Things happen at daycares and dogs sometimes get injured. That’s understandable, but it’s in their agreement that they will call and take the dog to the vet should something happen while in their care and they didn’t once call us or even mention anything when he was picked up. Since then we have called them to get answers and have given them multiple days to respond and they have been dodging our calls for days saying they’d have the owner call us back and he has not once called us back. Don’t send your dog here, they do not pay attention to them and they do not take care of them.

The entrance to this place should of stopped me there. DIRTY!! My pup was never tied after pickup 7:30 - 5:30. Was very specific as to the training I wanted and my pups needs. They never listened. I asked to have the owner ( Steve Roberts) call me, and have never received a call back. We will never recommend or go back. Also, receptionist is on the rude side. With so many other options in the area, please DO NOT give them your puppy/dog(s). if you love them.

I sent two of my dogs here for day camp/training. Our adult dog was clearly very stressed, which we discussed with his trainer, who seemed mystified. She offered to send video of him in daycare having fun. We got that video, and he was stressed, ears pinned, whale eyes, running around trying to get away from the other dogs. In that same video, we saw our 21 lb, 7 month puppy being ganged up on by 6-8 dogs double her size. When we inquired, we were told "that's just what dogs do". What's the point of supervision, then? We were told the owner would call us, he didn't. We called back, still nothing. While our puppy's trainer was great, we will not be sending her back, as we consider ourselves incredibly lucky that our puppy did not get injured or develop any fear responses from her time there. We spent $1200+ there, were scheduled to spend another $800 in training, and they didn't even have the decency to call us.

My dog is a nervous one and I left notes on this. I called 3 times. I got thru one time and had to leave 2 messages. I specifically asked how she was doing. All was good they said When I picked her up she had 3 cuts and a large bump on her nose. There was no communication on this. I would have had an emergency contact pick her up if I knew this was happening. I feel they just wanted my money $540.00 instead of a sooner pick up. There is NO transparency or communication of issues. I have used them in the past. I WILL NOT be using or recommending this place in the future. I just need to update. My dog also came back with weight loss, so she wasn’t eating and I noticed she was shedding. This is ALSO signs of stress. DO YOUR JOB!!! You MUST let owners know of issues. TRANSPARENCY

I typically never write reviews about places, but I have to write a review for here. If I could give them a negative star rating I 100% would. I took my GSD there for social training. At first he loved going and would be so excited to see the workers. After a few days I noticed he started to get nervous to go in, and would even resist going in at times. Around the time this started happening, we started to notice wounds around his neck, where is choke collar was. Now let me say this choke collar is not sharp or pointy and should not be digging into the dogs skin. But they were pulling on his collar so hard, it was cutting his skin. Along with this, our boy also got kennel cough (which he is vaccinated for) and gave it to my dog. Aside from all of this, the trainer tried to tell me dogs do not have feelings and should not be treated like they do. He told us they should not be let on furniture, or even allowed to sleep inside. I was MORTIFIED at this comment. We tried taking him one more time and he was so scared to go he started to crocodile roll on the ground. I ended up taking him home and never brought him back again! Do not go here!!!!

I love how helpful Matt is, he always answers questions and is very knowledgeable. I called to get some info during our puppy picking process and I'm excited to set up an appointment in the future for training with Matt!

My dog came home with sores on her muzzle because she had likely been left in a crate for an extended period. She was also covered in her own feces which is not normal and had diarrhea for 48 hours. I wish this place was as good as their old reviews say, but it’s not. The staff did not give the impression they cared for our dog and exhibited some unprofessional behaviorThere are some other excellent options not too far, so don’t settle here.

We have boarded our dog there for the past 8 years. They are the best. I never worry about how Zeppy is doing because I know he is in caring professional hands. He goes in wagging his tail and comes out the same way. Thank you to all the staff for always taking such good care of Zeppy!

K9 Performance know dogs! They are very knowledgeable with their training methods and their advice for any issues doggie owners may need help with. Owning my first big doggie , I’ve found from Steve, the owner to Karen who handles everything perfectly to Nick who is training my pup, and all of the staff - they are just amazing! And they love, care and know well each and every dog who comes into their care. You’ll definitely get results here! Plus you and your dog will enjoy it!

We love using K9 Top Performance for our English Mastiff puppy! We've been dropping him off to daycare a few times a week for the past month and he just can't contain his excitement once we get him out of the car. He's always so happy and well exercised when we come to pick him up after work. He never got excited when we when dropped him off at the other daycare in town, Bark n' Roll. The staff is absolutely wonderful and they pay close attention to all of their dogs. As soon as anything abnormal is noticed, you are immediately notified and they do what is necessary to keep your dog and all other dogs healthy and happy. We hope to use their training program soon because we've heard nothing but great things. I would highly recommend K9 Top Performance for any training or daycare needs!

I have been bringing my Swiss Mountain Dog to K9 for daycare for two years now and could not say enough positive things. The staff is clearly very knowledgeable and caring of the dogs, and always professional. They have been accommodating in some special circumstances as well. My dog is sad to leave at the end of the day because he loves daycare so much, and I feel comfortable knowing that he is in great hands.

We ALWAYS use the team at K9 Top Performance for all different needs that we aren't able to accommodate. They are our "go-to" for bully breed references, as well as boot camp training and other forms of dog training. We feel very lucky to have a local trainer/daycare/kennel that we can feel confident about recommending. Shannon & McGrupp's

In November, my wife and I made the decision to bring our dog, Tucker, to Top K-9 performance for their 6 week behavior modification program. We love Tucker, but 6 months after rescuing him he began to exhibit aggressive behavior which culminated in a minor bite incident. Furthermore, our walks became a tugging wars, where the dog would lunge at cars, other dogs and even people. My wife and I became very anxious about his unpredictable behavior and we were fearful to bring him anywhere. Once we found out my wife was pregnant we determined that Tucker was too much for us to handle. Not wanting to give him up as he is a big part of our family we looked into the services that Top K-9 performance provide. We enrolled our dog into the program and after 6 weeks he came back a new dog. We learned what his triggers were and how to interact with our dog as pack leaders. It has been nearly 6 weeks since we picked Tucker up and while he still has aggression we now know how to respond to it and, more importantly, control it. What we find is not only are we much happier but so is Tucker. If you find yourself in a similar situation you MUST bring your dog to Top K-9 Performance it will be the best decision you will ever make. Also worth noting, we bring Tucker to K-9 Top Performance when we leave for vacations or long trips and we have great piece of mind knowing that everyone on the Top K-9 Performance team is amazingly knowledgeable and equipped to take care of Tucker. This truly is a great place and nothing we could say or write would do it or its staff justice.

I always get stressed out about leaving my dog, because he has anxiety and behavioral issues, and I don't want to leave him with someone who doesn't know how to handle those things. I was thrilled to find K9 because they looked like people who knew what they were doing, and there's a training with boarding option. It sounds like they worked on exactly the right things, and the notes they returned with him were great.
