Adopted a kitten who we named Lemon Lime through Kitten Connection in October 2020. Her sister Rumple was adopted from a similar organization, Cat Connection, down in Florida. Cats are fostered by different individuals so may be a mixed bag, but my experience was very positive. Cats I met were all very well-cared for and socialized.

AVOID THIS ORGANIZATION AT ALL COST!!!! The volunteer who informed be about fostering for the kitty connection was purely wonderful and kind, which got me thrilled to become a foster for it. Once I got connected to the owner Marie, IT WAS NOT A PLEASANT EXPERIENCE AT ALL. I wish I could give 0 star for this place just because of her unprofessionalism and attitude. I have fostered for other shelter/ rescue organizations for 4 years and never once did they refuse to provide information about the cat(s) I’d be taking care of. I have no experience in taking care of pregnant cats or cats in medical condition so I told the volunteer and MARIE (through a call) that I would like to know in advance to prepare for it. The volunteer said that’s no problem at all, MARIE specifically told me through a phone call that she would. Then, I got absolutely no updates or information about cat AND because Marie specifically mentioned that she is always busy, I assumed that the initial pick up day of Wednesday would be postponed. Then all of a sudden, Marie messages me if I am still coming? I told her before that because of work, she’d have to tell me what time to come by but I can work out my schedule as long as it’s after 3PM. I guess she totally ignored my request and wanted things to work out in her own way. I said that her organization seems unreliable and I won’t be working with them. After that, only because I mentioned the volunteer’s name on text that the volunteer told be that I’d be informed of the cat I’d be taking care of, I guess she blamed everything on the volunteer. The nice volunteer gave me an apology message when it’s not even her fault. BY FAR MY WORST EXPERIENCE WITH FOSTERING FOR PETS. AVOID!!

The staff here really care about the animals and making sure that potential adopters are a good fit. We weren't able to take our cat home right away, and one of the volunteers was able to foster it for a few days in the meanwhile.

Please don’t adopt from here. While I am sure there are very well meaning people involved, this organization holds getting most cats into homes as the main goal and practices some things that may impact adopters and cats. We adopted a cat and were given health records from two vets they work with and were told the cat was 2. Less than 9 weeks later we had to put down 5 year old Sylvie, who was already loved so much. She had congestive heart failure. We found this out after a $600 ultrasound. Upon physical by our vet we were told she had a very loud heart murmur grade 5 out of possible 6 and her bloodwork was off. We were told she was very very sick and that there is no way that the two different vets that kitty connection had look at her prior to our adoption could have missed this. This was all very traumatic for our family. Before the ultrasound we called kitty connection and Marie claimed that there was no way they would have missed that. We are all left heartbroken. Yes, many people adopt healthy cats from kitty connection. But if you read the reviews you will see that many also end up with sick cats. Not everybody has the money to help these cats. There is definitely an issue of disclosing medical issues.

I adopted my two kitties from Kitty Connection in 2019. Everybody was absolutely professional, helpful, and attentive since the first time I called them. My boys are almost 2 and I cannot imagine a day without them. And this was only possible due to Kitty Connection! ----------------------------------------- SIDE NOTE: To Ryan below and his review about the fact that they don't let you adopt kittens if not in 2... and then mentioning you would declaw... YOU DO NOT DESERVE TO BE OWNED BY A CAT! Or anything, really. Seriously? What's wrong with you? It's because of people like you that the world isn't a much better place yet.

I really had high hopes for this place because I remember them from years ago at that time I really feel they did this for the right reasons! I do believe that marie who runs it still cares for these animals BUT she isn't doing it for nothing let's just say that ! Yeah its volunteer but she is also making a decent amount for her pocket . Her way of looking at it is oh well we gave you a sick cat now it's your problem. People don't pay over $300 to get a sick cat . I'm sorry I lost so much respect for this place. They care nothing about the people that want a healthy cat to bring home. Buyer beware . Never again.

Great place they work so hard to re-home kitties who are fostered. Got two amazing kitties who are wonderful additions to our family.

2.5 stars. Was a foster parent here and the cats were great and the volunteers were nice. However, the director Marie was unprofessional and rude and the primary reason for us not continuing to foster. She made arrangements for when the adoption would take place without communicating with us and she also stopped responding to any and all correspondence we tried to have with her.

Hi All, I use to volunteer at Kitty Connection and want to address some things folks have been saying. Kitty Connection is 100% volunteer run--there are no "staff". I use to be an adoption event volunteer and a foster home. Kitty Connection rescues a lot of cats from the streets, people who abandon them, and also from TNR programs where a majority of the kittens come from. The volunteers there really care about the animals and finding the best homes for them so they don't end up right back on the street.

While I absolutely love my cat I adopted from here, the contact person we spoke with about our cat did not disclose other health issues. We have been trying to figure out why he’s had soft stool for months, ever since adoption. The only problem we were informed of was that he previously had Giardia. I don’t like stressing him out by taking him to the vet every month or so to try and solve this issue. If you decide to adopt from here, make sure to ask about any and all potential health issues. We did not intend to adopt a special needs cat as we are fairly low income and can’t really afford to bring him to multiple vet visits in a year trying to solve this issue. Them “not being aware of the issue” is not an excuse. Watch your animals and list them as special needs if that’s what they are. I’m truly frustrated with this shelter. Get better staff. Seeing someone else talk about how they lost their 5 month old kitten from this shelter is so absurd. There needs to be some changes to the staff. Seriously.

Adopted a wonderful adult cat from them a few years ago. The adoption process was simple and they even held him for 2 weeks until we were able to come get him. I will definitely go to them again in the future

This place is ridiculously Unprofessional. First, you’re not allowed to adopt a kitten unless you have a cat at home already or are prepared to adopt 2 at once. Bare in mind, 1 kitten is $325. Then someone contacted me, Karen, asking what I would do to prevent a cat from ripping up furniture n my response of possibility getting it declawed wasn’t to her liking n she proceeded to basically Hang Up on me n treat me as if I’m some animal hater. It was very unprofessional for her personal opinion to get in the way of a business. So make sure you answer that question correctly n then take your cat home n if you wanna declaw it then it’s up to you. You did pay several 100 dollars for it.

Several years ago I adopted my cat Thomas from this shelter after fostering him. He was previously a feral cat, but over the course of the time I had him he really warmed up and became a loving and affectionate cat. Unfortunately he passed away last March after a battle with cancer. I am so grateful for all the years I had spent with him and that I was able to give him the loving home he deserved. He was a significant part of our family and truly changed the lives of those who got to know him. This is a no-kill organization run from the basement of a woman's home. They make sure that cats who may otherwise be overlooked due to age, temperament, medical conditions, ect. are able to find loving forever homes. Thank you Kitty Connection for giving these cats a chance to find the love and happiness they deserve!

Someone from this group stole my Turkish angora from outside my house ( on the north shore ) and was going to sell him. They had him in a basement and gave us a Hard times out getting him back. They also verbally attached animal control officer in my town when he confronted them. Rather than apologizing they threatened to sue Me For telling people what happened.

Basically a kitten mill in someone’s basement, they are rude and very judgmental of people. If you don’t look like them you can feel tha animosity in the air. Luckily I did not give them any $ and found a wonderful kitten elsewhere and now he’s being treated like a king. I was disappointed to say the least with them and recommend that absolutely nobody patronizes this place.

I adopted a kitten from them who only lived up until 5 months old. The most traumatic experience ever. I loved that cat. Come to find out so many other families who adopted from kitty connection had the same story as me. I just wish they were honest about their sick cats. I miss my kitty til this day.

Kitty connection was so helpful and connected my family with a beautiful and wonderful cat. They were caring and extremely responsive. I couldn’t recommend them more. They truly care about their cats’ health and wellness.

I am currently a volunteer with Kitty Connection. Kitty Connection also helped my roommate adopt a kitten. I just want to address some of the reviews I personally saw. Kitty Connection is a animal rescue run entirely by volunteers. Kitty Connection does not breed kittens and is not a "kitten mill". Kitty Connection simply adopts out kittens that have already been born. Kitty Connection also actively advocates for the spaying/neutering of all cats as to control the cat population. Please read more about TNR programs and why they are important if you are interested. All cats that Kitty Connection adopts out are properly vetted, vaccinated, and spayed/neutered. Adopters are made aware of any diseases/illnesses prior to adoption, and they receive the cat's full medical history. Overall, Kitty Connection is a community of fosters who care deeply about saving cats and finding them loving forever homes. If you have any questions don't hesitate to email us or send us a message on Facebook or Instagram.

I just adopted a rescue cat from them. It took a few weeks to get through the process, but once they found a cat that they thought would be good for me I picked her up three days later. She's a wonderful cat!
