We have 3 cats that are cared for by Holden Veterinary Clinic. They have a very caring and patient staff. Veterinarians explain things thoroughly and present options for care when needed. Highly recommended.

Everyone is very friendly and professional. However, getting into this place is what I imagine its like getting into the White House. I can understand extra precautions due to covid, but they are extreme here. You call from the parking lot, are told someone will call you back (which takes at least 5-10 mins), then that person asks you a ton of questions, after which is more waiting in the parking lot and then finally a tech comes out to bring you in. I spent an obscene amount of money on my dog at her first visit here. Again, the staff is very nice, friendly, and knowledgeable. My 3 stars is more so for the wait times and price tag.

You were literally a God send on my darkest day. I will be forever grateful for your willingness to see me, for the professionalism and the care you provided my little pup. Not to mention the reassurance you instilled that everything would be okay. From the girls at the front desk to the intake and the incredible knowledge of Dr. Claunch -- it was, by-far, one of the best experiences I have had with a veterinary clinic. I am truly blessed to be a client and will never look further.

I initially chose Holden Vet Clinic because after calling 3 other clinics, they were able to get my newly adopted kittens in for a wellness visit the fastest (3 weeks instead of 2.5 mos!). When we went for our visit, I loved the "family owned" feel and service so much more than the VCA clinic I've taken my pets to for the past 25 years. They have good COVID protocols and allow one pet parent in for visits, but also offer curbside if you prefer. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the energy in the clinic was calm, warm, and welcoming, not hectic and sterile feeling. After meeting Dr. Casey, who I loved, and seeing how she and the techs loved what they do and the fur babies they care for, I immediately switched my older kitty of 16 years to Holden Vet Clinic as well. It's not the closest vet clinic to my home, but it's worth the drive and I highly recommend them! I only wish I found them sooner!

Dr. Friend was so helpful and attentive during my first visit with my fur babies. She took the time to research my dog's rare-ish condition, and sent me reading material so I could learn what she was learning. I really appreciated that kind of extra attention. We're very happy we made the switch!

We have been with Holden Veterinary Clinic since Dr. Rice was there, and that goes back a LOOONG time! We have ALWAYS been very satisfied with the compasionate and professional care that we've received, but especially from Dr. Friend, our regular vet!

I switched to Holden Vet after moving closer to Holden. From the friendly staff who answered the phone to set up an appt, to the wonderfully friendly and thorough "Dr. D", I knew I made the right choice! Very impressed with their knowledge, genuinely caring, promptness of responding to questions and the time everyone takes to explain things.

We've beeng oing to Holden Vet for about 2 years with our dog. The staff are incredibly friendly and I've loved each of the drs we've seen. They explain things well and seem to understand how costly caring well for an animal can be. I'm very satisfied with the care she receives here.

They are the worst “professionals.” I had a couple of issues in the years I’ve been taking my pet there. When it comes down to an emergency there happens to be no availability. Absolutely unprofessional. Been there for years and will never recommend Holden veterinarian to anyone. In fact, I know people who are going to pull their pets out due to their unprofessionalism.

The staff and vets have been amazing here. They care about their patients and I usually get follow up calls checking in on how things are going. My dog is definitely a hot mess so I am here pretty frequently for all his issues. The vet always takes time to explain to me what’s happening and talk through our options for medication. When I first started going here they were able to diagnose my dogs condition, which my previous vet missed /overlooked for a long time. Really can’t say enough good things, would recommend this vet clinic to anyone.

My 1 star is for the people who continue to keep this place so busy that they are willing to wait over a month to get in for a wellness visit. It's literally a thermometer up the rear-end, a check of the gums, a measure of the weight, and an administration of a few shots. To get in and do that takes over a month of waiting? Why would you people keep going? Other vets have MUCH shorter wait lists, and Banfield allows walk-ins! This is Massachusetts, you have other options you know? When I told the receptionist, "No thanks, I'll just call around and try to get in someplace else sooner"; she hung up on me. Very first place I called made an appointment for next week. Good enough! Bye bye HVC. Clearly you have more business than you can handle anyway. Aside from that, the nurses and doctors are very nice and caring here; but they are at other places too, so it certainly doesn't justify the month long booking out.

Very very expensive. They were running behind each time we went in. They would recommended additional vaccines as if they are standard beyond the usual set without mentioning the side effects or efficacy. It was over three times as much as our last vet for a yearly checkup on two healthy dogs. They also push pet insurance but if you intend to keep going here it probably makes sense given the amount they charge.

The Doctors and staff are always attentive, compassionate, thorough and understanding. We have used Holden Veterinary for many years and highly recommend them.

My dog is very fearful of the vet, but the staff at Holden Veterinary Clinic was incredibly friendly and patient, and they worked so well with her. They definitely went the extra mile to make the experience as comfortable and positive as possible, and I am so thankful to have found them!

Love the people here, they really care about your fur babies. I recommend to all my friends in the area, and even carry a few of their cards on me to give out, that's how much I love them. I trust no one else with my dog.

I only had one experience with my friends new puppy. She was extremely pleased with her visit. The dog was pre examined, for his surgery, to be nuetered. Every thing went well. I will continue to suggest,refer to the holden vet. It's convenient to have all levels of care with the same vet.

My cats, Coal and Lucy, are very happy with Dr. Friend. And she is a very calming influence on me. She helps me to adjust to my kitties needs as they get older. Thank-you, Dr. Friend.

Every time I we go the bill is around $300 or more. We went in to check a rash and my bill was $298. They over charge for meds. $105 for a bottle of antihistamine.

All staff we've worked with have been capable and caring. We're very happy here!
