Fantastic experience. It was my dogs second ACL surgery and these professionals are amazing. The last vet I used was safe but Dedham is so much more organized and professional and friendly. It was much less stressful.

I have a really hard time trusting new veterinarians. I previously worked as a vet tech and know a lot about the industry. I have been very impressed with this vet and they have definitely earned my trust. My dog has been seen here twice so far for some issues she is having. They are booking out weeks but when I had an issue with my dog arise they were able to get me an appointment really quickly. I really appreciate knowing that I can count on my vet to see my dog when she gets sick. In addition, when she had an issue that came up shortly after her visit they had the doctor call me back and prescribe some new meds without me having to take her in again. Both of the veterinarians we have seen have been thorough and very knowledgable. I know what a difficult industry this can be to work in and I think this office is doing an amazing job. I will definitely continue to trust them with my dogs care!

Love the folks at Dedham Veterinary Associates. They provide excellent care and are very compassionate when dealing with sick or frightened animals.

My dog was sick and had a terrible Ear infection. They went out of their way to free up an appointment so my dog could see the doctor and get the medicine she needed. If that wasn’t terrific in itself the doctor called the next week to make sure that my dog was doing well and the medicine was working. All the doctors are great and caring

I have been so amazed by all of the staff who have been treating my cat. They have been very thorough, professional and incredibly caring for her. I would recommend them to anyone!

We were are in Maine on vacation with our puppy and she developed an ear infection! Most of the vet clinics that I called said sorry not taking new clients!! When I called your office Colleen answered the phone and was so reassuring and told me that you guys try to keep a spot for emergency patients that might be traveling!! She got me in yesterday afternoon and I saw Dr Davis and I can’t tell you how relieved I felt by the time, my Lucy and I left your clinic!! Thank you so much to everyone that we came into contact with. I know where to go if we another problem!

The service I received was top notch! Everyone’s interaction was pleasant. I will likely make the switch to primary care at this facility.

I have been using Dedham Vet for many years and many cats and a dog. I followed Dr. Gilleese from her previous practice, so I cannot comment on the other vets in the practice. She is the best of vets: concerned, excellent follow-up, great diagnostic skills, gentle, flexible. She diagnosed my friend’s cat when several previous vets were unable to. To save vet time the practice has increasingly used paraprofessionals to do initial owner and pet interviews: weight checks, reason for visit, even euthanasia prep, etc. Although I prefer to see the vet, by-and-large these techs have been well-trained, knowledgeable about the pet being seen, as well as friendly and professional. Care is expensive, paraprofessionals not withstanding, but I imagine that is true of other veterinary practices, although I have not done comparisons.

We have been going to DVA for the last few years and cannot recommend them enough. They have been above and beyond patient with my very anxious pup and have worked with him extensively to have a more pleasurable vet experience. We recently had an acute illness and Dr Gilleece could not have been more wonderful; super responsive to my phone calls and continued to reach out to check in until our pup had recovered. The girls that answer the phone are always helpful and kind and the techs we've encountered during our visits have always been patient and sweet with our boys. Thank you all for your hard work keeping our furry pets healthy and safe!

Dedham Veterinary Associates provides professional top quality pet care! Dr. Catherine Briere is an excellent talented surgeon. She and her entire staff are extremely caring, compassionate, and have excellent communication skills whereby they provide you with an excellent follow up program that guarantees your pet a speedy recovery. The results of my pet's recovery was outstanding therfore I only have the highest respect for them.

Best experience I’ve had since getting my puppy. Nothing could have been better. Provided great guidance, took care of my puppy, were both kind and understanding. I appreciate your staff and level of care; I can’t imagine how it could have been better.

Everyone I interacted with was nice to me and Dior. They care about your four leg child lol and make sure you understand everything.

Met with Elaina and Dr Briere to consult about knee/ligament issues for my 16 month old puppy. Despite the Covid-required meeting outside rather than in, they were focused on us, thorough and responsive - and they listened to me, which is a rare quality. Will definitely return for my pup's surgery.

My dog received the best of care for a complex surgical procedure. I was kept well informed throughout. The doctor and staff's expert care and professionalism put my mind at ease during what would have otherwise been a very stressful experience. I would highly recommend this practice.

After my dog was injured, I had to search a for a specialist, with no help from my vet. I started calling everyone. First in New Hampshire, that’s where we live. Then to Massachusetts. On a Friday, I called and Meg answered the phone. And when I begged her for help, that it had been weeks since my pups injury, she asked what happened and didn’t hesitate to ask if I’d speak with an intake tech. No other place would even listen to the plea. After the history was taken, she placed Zeus on a wait list. I received a call the following Monday, he was seen on Tuesday and had surgery that Thursday. All less than a week. With every other vet using covid as an excuse and too busy. They saw the need and didn’t hesitate. I never felt so relaxed and so happy with Dr. Briere and her staff. Simply amazing. We were forced and desperate to make this choice. Don’t wait. Start with them. Truly the best. Oh. And best thing. My pup didn’t mind going back each time for bandage removal. He was excited going in and out. Never nervous. That speaks volumes about the care he received.

OK where do I even begin with the team at Dedham Veterinary Associates? I am a first-time dog owner and adopted a puppy in April 2020. I initially reached out to Parkway Vet in West Roxbury, but after the woman who answered the phone told me it was a bad time to adopt a dog (this is after we picked our dog up) I was shocked and upset and decided to call Dedham Veterinary Associates. Thank goodness I did, because they have beyond extraordinary in multiple areas: professional; incredibly responsive over email; the techs and vets are beyond kind, gracious and patient with my gazillion questions about our pup; the vets give terrific advice and I always feel like Rosie is in great hands; they know how to handle Rosie (she is incredibly fearful, anxious and scared of people), they CARE; etc., etc., etc. I am so grateful to have found Dedham Veterinary Associates and just can't gush about them enough!!!!!!!! If you have a dog, cat or other animal go to Dedham Veterinary Associates!

My cat Margie recently had an appt. & because of Covid the way the staff have it set up is wonderful. They took good care of Margie & Dr Gilese (hope I spelt her name right) called me on her day off to let me know she got Margie's test results back. Dedham Vet Assoc.'s is the best.

We recently adopted during COVID and was able to land an appointment with DVA. They are amazing all around. We and our dog get very personalized attention from the staff and doctors. They care and it shows in everything they do. We feel very lucky to have our newest family member cared for by them.

We recently joined this practice as we followed our longtime vet Dr. Higgins after her care of our beloved dog. Last week we had to put him to rest. When we arrived, the receptionist had a memorial candle light. When we realized it was there in respect to our forthcoming loss, we were incredibly touched. Never before had we seen such a kind gesture. Dr. Higgins and the entire procedure was so humane that although we feel the profound loss, we are at peace.

This office is the best. We have had awful experiences at other vets before. The doctors here actually care about your pets. Always calling us back when there are issues and even calling to check in on how our dog is doing. They are very thorough!
