I wanted to take a few weeks to post a review, as when I initially dealt with this vet, I was in emotional distress as my dog had just passed away in mid July. To be quite truthful, this is a terrible vet. I have been a pet owner for years and years, and I have never dealt with anything quite like this. No appointment reminders, no follow-ups for days (the actual vets are quite considerate; however, it takes leaps and bounds to get a hold of them as there are no ability to get in direct contact with them). The receptionist named Laurie/Lori is probably the one causing them the worst reviews (I’ve read them). I called very frantically one day as my elderly dog (who had been a patient there for over 4 years) took a turn for the worse and we unfortunately needed to put her down. Laurie told me that they had an appointment in a week, which was insensitive and rude. My dog was next to me struggling for her last breaths and Laurie/Lori couldn’t care less! We live in a region with wonderful animal vets - if you care about your pets, please don’t take them here. My other dog (a puppy) will never go here again. I want a better experience moving forward.

Great staff , great doctors. The only issue is when calling they tell you to leave a call back number. It took three calls and messages until I received a call back to schedule an appointment.

We’ve been going to Canton Veterinary for many years now, and our dog is a loyal patient. The care is good, but our experience has been marred by poor customer service. For example, we recently had a bad experience with a receptionist when we called to see whether our dog could board. She was very rude and had a bad attitude — curtly telling us to go to another hospital. She also said there were no slots available for our dog for an extended stay, even though a different receptionist told us there was plenty of room when we called later that day. Sadly this isn’t the first time that we’ve experienced rudeness with this receptionist. It’s a shame, as wish I could give this hospital a better review.

So far so Awesome!! You get a great feeling of care from the Tech who comes for your furry friend to the receptionist who makes sure you have all appointments in check to a great caring doctor who takes ample time with you making sure you have all of your questions answered. Glad we are part of the family.

Called to make an appointment for an eye injury on my small dog and was told no appointments until next day at 5 pm. When I said I have to check with work (I called at 7am) I was told they need a deposit and have a 48 hour cancellation policy. Which is ridiculous considering all their appointments are booked! They certainly care more about money than the welfare of my pet. I travel, with my pet, for work and have seen Vets all over the country and have never encountered such an uncaring situation.

1st time patient there today and couldn't have been happier with how well it went, especially during this Covid19 Outbreak. Checked us in at our car. PPE and used their own leash. Brought our 2 year old shih tzu-poodle pup in who was battling a painful ear infection and being very aggressive about it. I warned them ahead and they were very understanding. They Got him in, muzzled, sedated, cleaned, swabbed, tested and treated within an hour. All while continuing to update us over the phone while we waited in the parking lot. I was originally so scared to not be able to come in with my fur baby but they definitely made it much easier for this Mama's nerves. I was also pleasantly shocked by how low my bill was in comparison to the VCA we had used before. We will be following up with them in 2 weeks and continue to use them as our go to vet for all 3 of our babies.

I am so amazed at the wonderful job they all do there I brought my furbaby there she was so sick they took great care of her thank you for helping Sophia out she is back to her old self I would recommend you guys to everyone

When I go to the convenience store in Canton, I was hungry past the Canton Veterinary Zospital. I use to go to Dunkin' Donuts and enjoy Wi-Fi and sit down and drink there. This hospital is for cats only. No dogs or other pets like hamsters, parrots can have an appointment. No appointments required to visit the Canton Veterinary Zospital.

This review is strictly on Dr. Scott, and is NOT a reflection on any other staff member at Canton Veterinary Hospital. Dr. Scott's communication, or lack thereof, is atrocious. Our dog, Rosie, was a patient of Dr. Scott's for 7 years. In July 2019, Rosie was diagnosed with kidney disease at Tufts VETS in Walpole, and after an important appointment with Dr. Scott in early August regarding medication refills and consultations with other vets regarding Rosie's lab work, Dr. Scott stated "I will get back to you by the close of day tomorrow". We NEVER heard back from her again. We left at least 2 messages, both phone and in person. We have no doubt the front desk gave Dr. Scott these messages, but we still never got a call back. Unfortunately, this was not the first time we had to do the calling in order to get results. In these other instances, we would eventually hear back from her, but not this time. At this point, it was evident that we were not going to hear from Dr. Scott, and so we took Rosie back to Walpole for her treatment of her kidney disease. Sadly, our dear Rosie passed on in late November from her disease. Thankfully, she received wonderful care at Tufts, and we will always be grateful to them. They did all they could for her. To this day, it remains inconceivable how a vet who has treated a precious animal for SEVEN years can just literally never call the client back, and especially when they have been diagnosed with a very serious disease. Dr. Scott's complete lack of follow through, communication, and professionalism is shameful and neglectful. We would NEVER recommend her.

I've been coming here for years! When my cat passed, they were so sweet to my family and I...they sent a card and I picked up his ashes in a beautiful urn. Doing this review just made me realize I have to set an appt for my other cats on Monday!!! 10 stars!!!
