BFTD have been so helpful and responsive- they communicate effectively, and always have the pups best interest at heart. They are always there to help with an ear and celebrate every milestone! They also go above and beyond for healthcare and frontline workers, which speaks volumes nowadays!

We are so happy that we found Boston for the Dogs! When we first started, our dog was a puppy with only very basic skills and the BFTD team did a great job meeting us “where we were at” in our training journey and helping us build a great foundation with our dog. We love their range of services - day school, group classes, individual training - and we’ve seen some huge growth in our dog since we’ve started working with them. The BFTD team places the health and safety of our dogs above all and we have complete confidence in this team when they are caring for our dog. They focus on training in real world situations (busy parks, t stations, elevators , etc.), which is so important when living in a city. Would highly recommend Hannalore, Teresa, and the entire BFTD team.

We've been training with BFTD for almost 6 months now - I initially sought them out for opportunities to train around other people and dogs in real-world settings. We love the multitude of group classes they offer and our pup also attends day school once a week. I have seen a huge improvement in his self-control (we have a very dog-oriented pup, which made walks challenging) and he now happily disengages from passing dogs and is more attentive. Having structured training goals to work towards is also great for us, the humans! Great community, amazing support from trainers, and we reap the rewards!

We've been clients of BFTD for nearly two years. Our senior dog Jasmine gets the best of care at day school and on pack hikes. In addition we have worked with Katie one-on-one for training and physical therapy exercises for Jasmine's luxating patellas and a bad hip.

Boston For the Dogs is a great company to work with for dog training! Hannalore is amazing, knowledgeable, incredibly hardworking, reliable, honest and beyond helpful. She listens to your needs and figures out a way to make it happen. Her staff is amazing as well! I couldn't ask for a better place for service dog training! They are the best!

BFTD is a great spot for dog training! I was a new dog owner when I joined and I’m so thankful for their help and understanding (with all my silly questions)! Hannahlore is always happy to jump on a quick call to walk through questions or give sanity check! Katie, Theresa and the other trainers have also been a huge help from 1:1 training, day school, practice in the park and boarding. Also their FB group is a great forum to see other dog owner’s questions and solutions (which let’s be honest most of us have the same questions!) Prior to joining BFTD I had spoken to and worked with other trainers who did not come close to the knowledge, reliability or offer various options for training. I feel so much better knowing now if I have an issue I can reach out to the team and they will provide me with feedback! Lastly and most importantly, Tucker is always so happy to see the trainers and show up at the door for day school. Thank you for everything!

We stumbled upon BFTD on Instagram and couldn’t be happier. From in home training with KT to the structured daycare with the Corey and the team we couldn’t be happier. They really cater to the training you and your dog need. Doing your homework is important. We’ve already seen such great improvements in Tucker and can’t wait to see what else is in store for him!

It’s taken me a while to get this review together because there are just so many things I want to say about Boston for the Dogs, it was hard to remember it all. First of all, the owner Hannalore is a force of nature. I have never seen someone dedicate SO MUCH of themselves to their work and passion the way she does. She lives and breathes for these dogs and their families. She is an activist, a strong supporter of her community, and she KNOWS her business. What she has built is truly remarkable. If she or any of the trainers tell you something about your dog or the way you handle them, LISTEN.The trainers are also educated, driven, and they make it a priority to build a relationship with your dog to help them be their best selves. Our girl worked with John for e-collar conditioning and we’ve also had lessons with Corey, who seems to have a gift at bringing out the best parts of your dogs personality and putting them at ease. Our favorite thing to participate in was the group classes! The school doesn’t help train your dog. They train YOU as a dog owner. I have learned SO MUCH. I’ve learned how to communicate with my dog. How to pay attention to what she needs and where she was struggling. BFTD taught me the difference between what I wanted to think my dog wanted/needed, and what my dog ACTUALLY needed. They WILL call you out when you are doing something that isn’t healthy for your dog. LISTEN TO THEM. Do not get defensive. They know what they are talking about and your dog will THRIVE. I am continually amazed at every little step my dog (a reactive and anxious mess of a pittie) makes in progress. And it’s all thanks to this school. We came to BFTD after our dog had a run in with another family dog. We were only a couple months away from having a baby and we knew we needed to build in some structure but we had no idea how to start. BFTD was that start. We would have been lost without them. Finally I have to speak about the community within the school. When you get involved with this school in any way, you become part of a FAMILY. And they are THERE for you. They exchange advice on all things dogs, life, and everything else. They arrange get togethers. They celebrate each other’s lives. It’s AMAZING. When my family and I hit a crisis, the fam responded with love and support and resources. I will forever be grateful for them. If you are looking for a place to help you and your dog thrive, this is it.

My dogs behavior has improved tremendously in the months that she has been attending BFTD. Words can't describe how proud I am of her and how thankful I am to them. Trust the process, they do great work here.

Our pup went to BFTD for structured day school for a couple months in summer 2020 and just started again in spring 2021 with hikes and day school. Going to BFTD makes a HUGE difference in our dogs happiness level and behavior. She’s always been anxious in general, and didn’t engage much with other dogs. The isolation of pandemic was compounding that, but when she goes to day school or hikes she approaches dogs and humans totally different. She LOVES the trainers and staff there, and we love how responsive they are - and how much information they give us about our own dog that we never knew. We’re so glad we found BFTD and only hope we can take advantage of more and more of what they offer.

I am so grateful for the work and support they have provided so far with my adopted rescue. These guys have helped us both immensely in 1:1 training. Their school program for dogs is great and they countless other offerings. They do a ton of outreach and offer free advice and suggestions on their social media pages as well. They are not joking that working with BFTD is being part of a family community. Can't wait for my dog Molly to thrive while working more with BFTD.

BFTD is amazing! They work so hard and are great at communicating and supporting us to train our dog. They do a great job with training dogs for the Canine Good Citizen (CGC) as well as with obedience that is out of this world. Their balanced training methods enable reactive dogs to understand their environment, be confident, and be extremely well behaved dogs in any environment. I cannot say enough good things about them.

Training with Boston for the Dogs has significantly decreased our older dog's anxiety. Her protectiveness around the house has dropped dramatically, and she is much more confident. Corey always provides context and the theory behind what they worked on, which helps me reinforce their teachings at home. Recently, the dogs have been practicing structured play at day school, and we've seen an incredible improvement in our older dog's ability to interact and play appropriately with other dogs. We are looking forward to getting both our dog's started on hikes soon. Thank you Hannalore, Corey, and the entire BFTD team for providing a safe, fun, caring environment for our dogs.

I adopted my dog a month ago from BFTD, and the level of support I received in the process and now that she is home with me is beyond what I could have imagined. Hannalore, Corey, and all the trainers and staff at BFTD are such kind, compassionate, supportive, and genuinely caring people. I know they care about my dog’s success as much as I do. My mind is expanded with every single training session, class, and resource they recommend. Frankie has learned so much in a very short time and is the happiest dog I’ve ever had thanks to the structure and upbringing provided by BFTD. I’ve had dogs in the past and thought I was somewhat educated on good training techniques, but I’m learning so much and really building a whole new skill set that I feel really proud of. My life has changed for the better since becoming a part of the BFTD family and the amazing community they foster alongside the training and other services they provide.

We were fortunate enough to work with Corey on some basic training for our English Lab puppy. His ability to breakdown the training and make it interactive for us as dog owners is unparalleled. He is a true professional and really cares about making your dog the best possible animal. I would highly recommend Boston for the Dogs for any level of training!

I'm so grateful for the confidence Hannalore helped instill in my dog handling. I love Practice in the Park for my german shorthaired pointer, Scout. The BFTD team is unapologetically there FOR THE DOGS. For that i am so impressed and grateful. I only wish we lived closer for other services.

We have been attending BFTD a little over 3 months. I am so happy to be able to work through my pup’s problem with such a wonderful group of people. Our two sessions with Corey have taught me more, than the 3 other trainers that I paid a ton for. There are so many opportunities to practice in a safe space, Hannalore has given me my confidence back that I can train my pup and be successful. It so true when they say train don’t complain!! Thank guys for everything that you do!

Thank you to BFTD and our number one walker Fatima who has become like family to us. During this crazy time and beyond we have been able to rely on flexibility, understanding, and reliability in doing what is best for our dogs and our family. Our dogs are no angels but we now have tools in our belt to try and make everyday a little more enjoyable for all.

I am not writing about the service as I am not in the area nor do I own dogs so I won't address those points. What I will write about is the nature of the owner and leader of this company …

You can tell how passionate she is about training your dog.She goes way beyond her duty to get the best training for your dog and helping the dogs owner understand . The staff are excellent and understanding. Myself and my dog loves practice in the park as it's a great way to socialize your dog. I cant praise Boston for the Dogs enough.

BFTD is not just a dog training company, they are a family. They have helped me through the hardest times with my dog, and always have my back no matter what while still being firm with their expectations and telling me how I can be better for me and my pup. At first I was skeptical of their training methods, but they walked me through every step and were their day and night to answer my questions and support me through it all. I started with a dog who couldn't be out in public without barking and lunging at other dogs. In just a few short months she has been able to behave well in public at breweries, on hikes (with perfect recall with her new e-collar) and is now a Canine Good Citizen! They help us achieve goals that we never thought were within reach and for that I will forever be grateful!
