We signed up for the dog walking services offered by the Dog Nanny back in January after hearing great things on Facebook and from word of mouth of friends. We cannot be happier with how amazing all of the walkers are. My 2 year old rescue can be very timid of other people at times. Cortny scheduled a meet & greet with us prior to starting walking to ensure Peyton (and I) would feel comfortable! Cortny walked Peyton for the first several times to get her into the routine of having someone come into our house and take her, then we gradually transitioned into allowing other walkers in. I did not even think of doing it gradually, but Cortny wanted to ensure Peyton was comfortable. I work more than full-time in my office and sometimes feel like a bad Dog Mom not be able to be around more often during the work week. Cortny, Jodi, and Lindsey have helped relieve that stress completely. They are more than flexible with scheduling and have saved me several times when I had a last minute meeting arise to go take Peyton out. After several weeks of walking and loving the Dog Nanny Staff, we decided to do daycare 2 days a week and walks 3. I truly could not imagine life without these people! Everyone who we have interacted with at the Dog Nanny has been nothing short of amazing. I highly recommend the Dog Nanny to anyone considering dog walking and/or daycare for their pup. The Dog Nanny has done a wonderful job in the past with grooming my Bernese mountain dog. He has a beautiful, thick, wavy coat that takes a lot of time to manage, but he has always left his grooming appointment looking absolutely gorgeous. With that said (and to no disrespect to the employees @TDN), we have sadly chosen to look elsewhere for dog grooming services. Janet and her team are good about reaching out to clients to let them know when their dog is due for services. Often, we are offered a discount if we book the same day that she reaches out. So, I booked my dog to get groomed. Upon our arrival, I was told that it would take 2 hours to groom my dog. The staff has always been good about texting to let me know the status of my dog's grooming session. When I didn't hear anything after 2.5 hours, I decided to go inside to see what was going on. I made eye contact with Alyssa, the groomer, who was working on another dog who was taken at the same time my dog was. She motioned for the assistant to give me an update, who said that it would take my dog a little longer before he was ready. I waited another half hour, but still didn't get an update. After 3 hours, I walked back in to check, but my dog still wasn't ready yet. At this point, it was an hour overtime and I had a baby to get back home to, so I was becoming a little distressed. Finally after 3.5 hours, my dog was ready. Alyssa apologized to me and explained that the other dog was the reason it took my dog awhile to take care of. I understood that, said it was no problem, and quickly paid her, not really paying attention to the price she said because I was desperate to leave at that point. I received an email receipt from them a little later, with no discount applied, but instead, a $25.00 surprise fee that said "aggressive" next to it. No further explanation. When I called to inquire, the assistant apologized and said "Your dog isn't aggressive, he just doesn't like the water and gets very anxious" (which I knew, and which THEY knew from his previous appointments). I was never charged this before, nor was it communicated to me when I paid for services. I spoke to Janet the next day, explaining why it was upsetting to not have the discount applied AND to be charged something that was never brought to my attention. Unfortunately, she refused to credit the $25 back to me, and said that she would apply the discount to his next grooming session. 3 stars because of the impeccable grooming job, but -2 stars for not making this situation right, and for poor communication.

We've been using the Dog Nanny for about 3 months. Initially I found it through google, but the timeline to get an initial assessment was 4-6 weeks out, so we booked and tried out a different dog daycare in the meantime. Our 1 year old, medium mixed breed, is utterly exhausted when she leaves Dog Nanny! It is great for younger dogs, and the difference between the two places we've taken our dog is night and day. I was also thankful when the staff tells us what we need to work on with her - the feedback is good and it helps her have a better experience. She has great recall, but didn't respond to the command "come" when playing. The staff gave us some pointers on how to reinforce the command and she is doing better. I appreciate the staff's objective assessment and genuine interest in providing a safe, fun, active environment for all the dogs.

We found the Dog Nanny through a family member who recommended them highly. As new dog parents my husband and I were slightly nervous about leaving our American bulldog puppy at a new place with people we didn’t know. Well it was the best decision we could’ve made! Ace practically sprints to the front gate and can barely contain his excitement during drop off. He gets the wiggles as soon as we pull into the parking lot! He comes home tired and happy every time, and we couldn’t be happier with the staff and service they provide! Daycare has been an amazing alternative to crating Ace during the work day. I’m so happy knowing while we’re at work our guy gets to play and run out all his energy, and is being so well taken care of by the staff!

We have been taking our dog Lilly to The Dog Nanny for years. We love them! Always confident Lilly will be cared for and kept safe while we are away.

Fantastic place with many people they know how to take care of dogs. Be aware, though, that the quality of daycare also requires that your dog be suitably trained and social to stay and be a part of that environment. Something very important to know going in is that they are very selective. When you bring your dog for the first time, you will be told that it is an initial trial period. They take the time and care to call you at a time if your choosing to update you on how to dogs first day is going. If your dog is responding to recall commands (knows his or her name and can will come when called) and is doing well with the caretakers and other dogs, there's no problem. If not, they will talk with you about it. If the dog is having issues, they will calmly and kindly bring them up with you and will help suggest a course of action. For example, my dog is very shy around new people. It takes a while for him to warm up, but once he has he'll love them enough to do anything they say. Unfortunately, this isn't apparent at first and I would have understood if they turned him away. They, instead of just saying no, listened and gave me a list of things that needed to improve. I worked with my dog over the next few weeks and kept bringing him, and they noted that his behavior drastically increased. The people here do listen and care, just be warned that they will turn dogs away that aren't well adjusted to the environment. If your dog is or can adjust, however, that means that you just get an even better daycare experience. (They also offer fantastic overnight dog boarding as well, during which my dog fell in love with one of the staff. They now both explode with joy whenever I drop him off and they see one another.)

Horrible experience with these people. If your dog has energy don’t expect them to get it out here. They call and tell you to pick them up if they aren’t acting to their standards. They don’t promote dogs running around to much. They also have nap time for your dog. I don’t pay you for my dog to sleep they are their to get energy out and play with other dogs and socialize. The space they have for dogs is not very big especially for the amount of dogs they take in. Beware of taking your dog here it’s not worth it. Honestly they just seem snobby and are in it for the easy buck.

Very caring, considerate, conscientious staff and clean facility. Our dog was evaluated for a possible week of boarding. Instead of telling us that everything was fine they said that due to the timid nature of our dog and its small size (Italian Greyhound) they would not be comfortable boarding her. While I didn't like their decision I was impressed with their honesty.

I am more than disappointed with the customer service I recently experienced at the Dog Nanny. We do not have a regular need for doggie daycare, but we were interested in using them for dog boarding since it offers a more interactive environment than traditional boarding. We realize this environment is not for all dogs, so we brought our recently turned 1-year old dog for daycare 4 times leading up to the boarding to get her acclimated and use to doggie daycare per their suggestion. Each time we picked her up they mentioned she needed work on some things like her recall when she gets too excited while playing and that napping was sometimes a struggle. Each time we picked her up after getting this feedback, we also asked if she was still okay to board during our upcoming trip and each time they said yes. Three days out from boarding we went the final time. Originally my husband had arranged a half day with them, because their trainer was going to be there and work on recall with her. They then called me to ask that she stay through nap time and I agreed, trying to do what was best for the weekend. They called towards the end of nap time and said she was crying and loud her entire nap that day and did not settle and that boarding was not really an option. We were three days out from our trip and they asked me if I had a backup plan for my dog. Why would I have a backup plan if each time we picked her up they confirmed she was still good to board? We left the conversation stating a manager would call me to discuss to see if we can figure something out. When my husband picked her up on that last day they apologized and said it was a pretty filled weekend coming up and they didn’t want to chance her being disruptive to the other dogs. They also reiterated she hadn’t misbehaved like this the other three visits, just today, hinting as to why they were just cancelling on us. She also stated to my husband that some dogs cry the whole first night and then end up being fine the rest of the visit. That comment seems to contradict their arguments in my opinion. A manager did not call me that day as indicated. My problem is not with the fact that my dog does not fit their model and is not a good candidate to stay at the Dog Nanny for boarding. Some dogs are and some dogs aren’t, we get that. My problem is with the poor customer service we received leading up to that decision. They should have been more forthcoming from the beginning telling us she was not a good fit. Instead we have now paid for 4 full days of care and then just days before leaving for our trip had them retract their statement and tell us she was a bad fit for boarding. Did they just want to get the most money out of us before backing out of boarding? I want to hope that’s not the case, but I am very disheartened with the customer service. Buyer beware if you are just looking for boarding services, not reliable. As I’m sure they would more than likely agree, dogs are a part of people’s families so you should not mislead a customer that their dog would be getting the care and boarding services they were requesting. And more importantly not backing out so last minute, without much care. Honestly, it comes down to open communication and transparency – which is something we did not experience with the Dog Nanny.

I have been bringing my Yellow Lab Lucky to the Dog Nanny for almost 8 years and now I bring my little Frenchie Chloe. I have always been impressed at their level of service and how they care about my pups like they are their own. The staff and owners bend over backward to care for their clients and I highly recommend them to anyone in need of a safe and trustworthy environment where your dogs can get exercise and be well taken care of by a great group of pet professionals. You won't be disappointed!!!

Do not feel Comfortable bringing my dog here I can hear the staff screaming at dogs from the parking lot very unprofessional and makes me wonder how my dog is being treated. Please bring your dog somewhere more dog focused and not just about money for the business.

I always wait to write a review after the third visit because some days are better then others and my third visit was today..o wait it wasnt and here is why... I called back on 2/4 to change my 2/6 nail app for my dog, changed it to 2/7 with no issues. On 2/6 I get a call saying the guy who booked my app didnt know what he was doing and that it had to be changed again, I was a little annoyed but i understood it was a simple mistake so now the app is on 2/8. I called a few times on 2/8 to confirm the time but no one picked up and no outbound message saying that they would be closed (which would have been nice.) I drove in icy conditions to get there because i think its rude to just not show up due to the weather and since I couldnt get a hold of any one, i decided to go any ways because i respect their time but i guess they don't respect mine. Well after a scary 45 minute drive, i show up and they are closed!! NO phone call was ever given to me to let ME know they were closed, no outbound message to say they were closed. To me, thats rude and really unprofessional. I get the weather is crappy but you should have at least made an outbound message saying you were closed or better yet...call me to say you need to reschedule due to the weather....but instead I drove like an idiot to make the app but you weren't there. That is HORRIBLE SERVICE. Hopefully after the vm I left I will get a call to resolve this issue but right now after over 2 hours of driving for nothing, i dont think any words will help because "I am sorry" wont cut it.

Our dog, Buddy has been going to daycare @ the dog nanny for about 8 months and he loves it! He started going at just 3 months old and still jumps out of his dog car seat every time we pull in and he hears his friends barking. He is a small shih tzu so we were a bit apprehensive as to how he would do with much larger dogs, however, all of our fears were alleviated very early on. There is somewhat of a separation between the smaller and large dogs but he seems to be fine with the large dogs as well, and the experience has proved to be beneficial to him in terms of interacting with animals of all sizes. The majority of employees are genuinely concerned about all of the dogs and really get to know them. I have only encountered 1 or 2 that give off the impression they would rather be somewhere else. Overall, a very well run business and it's very comforting to know you can leave your dog here all day and they will not only have a great time but also be loved. I would absolutely recommend the dog nanny to any dog owner that is looking to have their dog have some fun, run around and come home exhausted, while you are busy at work or taking care of other things. Also, compliments to Kelsey, the groomer- she's awesome!!
