My granddog loves the Doozydog staff, and his new friends. When he gets home he goes right to sleep. Way to go team????

The girls who check the dogs in during the morning are always positive and happy to see my dog which makes me feel comfortable leaving him for the day.

We've had some mediocre nail trims here in the past but today's was downright awful. Not only was he brought out bleeding all over the floor and I had to help wrestle him while they applied Kwik stop (why wasn't this done before he was brought out to reception?), I also noticed when I got home that his nails were painfully short in the back... Like shorter than I've ever seen any dogs' nails ever... AND the front ones were barely, if at all, touched. One front paw looks like it wasn't even attempted. The other had one nail that is half trimmed... You can see where they started to cut it and just stopped. I put in all my appointment notes (and mentioned at previous visits) that he is incredibly anxious and needs some special attention, maybe even a muzzle in case he reacts, but clearly this was ignored. No one communicated any difficulties or any reason why they didn't complete the job while I was at the facility. They simply just charged my card and emailed me a receipt. I had to follow-up via phone to learn they didn't follow my instructions, Guinness nipped at the groomer, and they decided not to proceed. They told me they would be refunding me, but that doesn't change the fact that my dog was injured, a human was hurt, and no one cared enough to tell me while I was there that anything had happened. I read through some other reviews where other people have had the same sort of terrible grooming experience. We won't be going back to Doozydog anytime soon. If anyone from the company reads these, you might want to invest some time in your groomers' education and create bigger blocks in the schedule to allow for a less rushed and gentler experience. What my dog went through today was unfair, traumatic, and totally inhumane. Y'all should be ashamed.

Awesome groomers. All of the employees were very kind and helpful and communicative. I was able to get an appointment in a good amount of time for my two dogs and they performed a quick grooming service. They were able to accommodate my big elderly Great Dane and cocker spaniel puppy. Only downside was parking was challenging to find. Otherwise, I would highly recommend them.

My bichon poodle came home covered in urine... like covered so that his legs were waxy feeling. The only reason my review isn't 1 or 0 stars is because the people at Doozydog were very kind when we toured the place.

2 days ago I took my dog for grooming. A day after that I was checking on him and realized my dog's ears weren't cleaned at all. Now I wonder if I lost the extra money I paid for teeth brushing. Also, if the gland expression was performed. Definitely, not coming back.

Worst grooming of a dog ever (x2)! After they didn't groom our dog's paws after specifically requesting it we brought him back. His paws were then groomed but he was bleeding in two locations! Upon complaint, we were told they didn't know what caused the bleeding (even though he wasn't bleeding when we dropped him off...). I'll gladly pay up to double the cost for a more expensive grooming to avoid 1) the unprofessional staff who are not apologetic and 2) further harm of our dog.

We visit DC regularly for long weekends, and we wanted to start bringing our dog with us for the trips, but needed some occasional "doggy daycare" during the day. Doozydog was great! Everyone we met there was pleasant and helpful. They were very attentive and loving to our dog. They provide daycare up until 9 p.m. at a very affordable price, so it was convenient to drop our dog there, go out to an early dinner, and still have plenty of time to pick her up afterwards.

DO NOT get your dog groomed here. Keegan completely shaved my golden retriever. In fact, I specifically told him "not to shave her" (since this happened once in the past) and he did the complete opposite. A bad haircut is one thing, but he cut her with the shaver right behind her front legs in two large areas and said nothing. I didn't notice until I got home and she started licking the area repeatedly. Now I have to go to the vet and get the area treated because she is so uncomfortable. You can really tell Keegan could have cared less about my dog and I am horrified at what she must have gone through during that grooming session (what else did he do that I don't know about...).It's unfortunate they don't have cameras. Again, if you are thinking about getting your dog groomed. look elsewhere.

I needed to leave my dog at boarding for 3 nights for a last minute trip. This was the only place that had availability, the staff was nice but I thought the place itself was stale and not really an inviting environment for dogs. I added a bath and brush before picking him up which is supposed to include nail trimming and that was clearly not done. I purchased the app to watch through the cameras and my dog did not seem happy, there was at least 25 dogs in the play pen at one point which I thought was too much. And finally the worst part for me and why I’m writing this review is my dog came back with kennel cough even though he has his vaccine for it and is currently very sick.

The Last Straw: A series of unfortunate incidents at this location has permanently shifted our business to District Dogs (3 blocks away on Sherman Ave). The front desk lady likes to play “Gotcha” questions to prevent you from coming into the store to receive service. For instance, the first time I encountered her I was made late for work after 25 minutes (no joke!) of her rooting around the computer system for my puppy’s vaccination records that had been provided 3 times before. Just recently today, the same person denied my dog entry into the building because he was 6 months of age and had to be neutered before she would permit him entry — no accommodations or workarounds were even considered — just a FLAT NO. There have been minor irritations over our relationship with this location (lost dog collars or misplaced name tags) however those have almost always been smoothed over by the excellent customer relations management of the location manager, Andrew. But if he’s out of town or off work for any reason, you’re better off taking your animal somewhere else.

On Thursday April 6th, 2021 I took my pomeranian in for the regular trimming. The groomer offered a summer trim. I was extremely dissatisfied with the haircut on my pomeranian.   The haircut cut was totally butchered. In addition her hair was cut/shaved too low as you could see her pink skin in several areas. I understood a summer cut to be shorter cut and not completely shaved down like a lion cut. Pomeranian hair should not be completely shaved low as it keeps the dog warm in winter and cool in the summer. Now it will take 6 months to grow back. Later I was informed that the normal groomer was not available on Thursdays.

I wanted to treat my dog to a spa day today for his 4 year rescue anniversary (which was discussed in my initial phone call) the man on the phone listed a blueberry facial and teeth cleaning to be added. I remember him repeating back to me the 3 things were listed in puffs appointment. Well...my boyfriend takes puff the morning of my Dogs big day! Checked him in and SPECIFICALLY said he’s here for a blueberry facial DIDNT even mention the wash and cut. No facial, no teeth cleaning, EVEN THE COMPLIMENTARY treat and bandanna was not given to puff that listed on their website!!. Called the manager, she very unsympathetic and kept repeating “you weren’t charged for it” when I don’t care about the money, that’s not the issues I am heartbroken for puff that his special day was completely ruined by this place. And their lack of professionalism to do their job!! To top it off His haircut is pretty awful. He is a long haired chihuahua, the photos I received the man is wearing his mask on his chin while handling puff. Not a happy dog mom right now! The manager finally offered a complimentary facial if I brought HIM BACK (he was so scared he does not like spa days. Which is why we only do it once a year) & we drove 30 mins home, i called 5 times before receiving an answer. I was so angry I would and never will bring my dog back.

First time customer, disappointed. The entire reason I went here was to trim my dogs nails - it's part of their "Bath and Brush" - but when I got a call saying that DoozyDog could not do my dog's nails because my dog was too squirmy, I politely asked them to prorate the nail service (because, they did not do it) off my bill. Instead they said "you got 30% off anyways, and, this stuff happens all the time - go to your Vet to get your dog's nails done next time." Logically, if It happens all the time, then have a way of prorating that service off the bill. Also, don't advertise a nail service when you cannot deal with fussy dogs. Can't believe I stilled paid for her nails. Won’t be going back there...

This is the place to take your doggo if you want super excellent care. Other places seemed to check your dog in and go through the motions... But Doozydog makes me feel like they actually love my doggo too! You can watch cameras (for free) online if you're worried, but there won't be a need to! They keep the areas clean and the doggos safe and comfy. Highly recommend.

Best place to leave your dog for daycare or an overnight stay.

Skylar loves her friends here, and is always so excited to see everyone. They always take great care of her and are able to give her the meds she takes on time. We can’t wait for her sister Asher to be old enough to join also!

I am editing my review below. The manager has since contacted me and was very kind and remedied the situation. Cairo will be returning to doozydog! I normally like this place. It's a little bigger and less personal than I prefer, but they have really convenient hours, and it's very close to my job (but not my home). Plus Cairo seems to like it, and they're generally nice when I drop him off and pick him up. After months of quarantine (which Cairo loved since I was home with him all the time!), I decided to make socially distant plans with my family in Virginia last month, and I booked daycare for my Cairo about two weeks in advance. I was so excited to actually have plans (and that Cairo would get some socializing time with other dogs), that I got there bright and early, only to be told that Cairo's Bordatella vaccination was a month overdue and they would not take him (by a rather rude man, which was my first rude experience there). I'm normally very good with keeping up with his vaccinations, but this totally slipped my mind, what with the pandemic and all, but I 100% take responsibility for that. The frustrating part was the lack of communication and understanding. They could've called me to tell me this before I drove all the way out there! I booked this well in advance, and ended up having to pay $65 to cancel my plans because I had to drive Cairo all the way back home. I then received a call from my vet saying Doozydog called them, which was very nice, but then why couldn't they take 5 seconds to call me before I arrived! A call, a text, an email - anything would have been considered better customer service than what I got.

These folks gave my newly rescued Akita such a warm welcome to her forever city, and we are so happy to have found you. She looks and smells terrific, and that boost of confidence has put some extra sass in her step! We absolutely plan to utilize more of your services moving forward.

We needed a doggie day car place at the last minute for Jiggles, our 5yo rescue cockapoo and chose Doozydog! based on the positive Google reviews. Everything was as advertised. The staff is absolutely fabulous: friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and, the icing in the proverbial cake, all dog lovers. Shout out to Sydney who took me for the tour and made sure to answer all my questions. The place is also spotless, airy and bright. Highly recommended. I would give six stars if I could. They were that good!

Bad Grooming. The groomers here are terrible! The first time I took my dog for a cut he came back a little uneven and the groomer had not followed my instructions. I decided to give them a second chance, because they are in my neighborhood, but requested a different groomer. The second one was even worse! The cut was completely uneven: one leg untouched, wierd tufts of hair all over, etc. On top of this they are really expensive. NEVER AGAIN!

Our pup had a wonderful experience at Doozydog. The staff is so friendly, welcoming and attentive. And at the end of the day we picked up a very tired, very happy dog. Everything you could ask for!

We really like the facility and the welcome we received from Doozy dog. Our 5mo boy had his first day today and (being a crazy puppy mom) I internet stalked the camera pretty much all day. He always seemed happy and I was impressed by how clean the facilities are and how well the staff does with keeping a calm environment. We look forward to being regulars!
