Dr McClewee is very thorough. She leaves no stone unturned and is very pro active with my cats health. The entire staff is both efficient and pleasant and very good with my boy. Glad there is a specialist to go to with Extrodinary conditions.

My pet Phin has been a patient sense 2015 and I have so much respect for Dr.Calo and his nurse they are wonderful. When ever Phin comes for visits I never have to worry I know he is in the best care.Thank you all for all you have done for me and Phin.

Honestly, I have a medical mystery of a dog. The staff at AVIM have been working so hard to help him, and I am very confident we will get him to 100% health in no time thanks to their hard work on every possible option! They also never shamed us when I accidentally went with some bad outside advice before seeing them, and took the time to explain everything in the test results in a way that was easy to understand.

My dog Luca was in poor health when my regular Veterinarian referred me to PetER Internal Medicine for treatment. Throughout the process, he has progressed quite well. After visiting many veterinarians and hospitals this is the one I decided to call home for my cat Bobo. Everyone that we met here was very nice and understanding. And the doctor that was assigned to us seems to actually care and is very helpful. I would highly recommend this place

Vet is programmed to order tests that are not needed since they were already supplied by my regular vet but insisted this is there rule then you wait till the next day for results after spending 1200 dollars to be told on a phone call that they need another test which will be 2500 dollars and they are not sure what is causing my dog to cough when I questioned her she could not give me a straight answer,she really got a attitude when I told her I was not going to let them operate on my thirteen year old pit bull because she couldn’t tell me the survival rate come to find out she is not a surgeon she the middle vet all they want to do is take your money I told her in the last month a friend took his dog there which was 12 it had cancer already diagnosed operated the dog didn’t last 2 weeks they should have never operated with a dog that old but for 7thousand dollars they did oh by the way when my friend ask what happened the vet said he was old finally don’t count on them calling in subscriptions the office does it when they feel like it if you question them they hang up on you needless to say I learned my lesson and already have a appointment with another vet

After receiving a leukemia diagnosis for my dog I knew I was on limited time and called AVIM in mid November. I was given an appointment on Feb 14. I called almost daily (sorry Lena) trying to get an earlier appointment and was able to be seen much earlier than originally scheduled. Unfortunately the diagnosis was undesirable, but the level of professionalism and care from Dr Calo was great. I was given options and he was very responsive and incredibly knowledgeable. The entire staff is accommodating and kind in a place where emotions definitely run high. Although I hope I don’t see you all again soon (no offense), I would definitely use AVIM in the future if I needed to.

Dr. McLewee was extremely thorough and knowledgeable about Dewey. She went above and beyond in trying to find answers to help him. I would highly recommended Dr. McLewee and all of AVIM.

My dog Macho was referred to this specialist. He was seen by Dr Petrus. The doctor had read Macho’s information from the referral before we arrived. He had taken notes and was prepared with questions and recommendations. I thought the doctor was very thorough and he took his time explaining the cause and effects of my dog’s condition, he thoroughly explained his suggested course of treatment and why he thought it was best. When lab and test results came back he was detailed in his explanation of the results. Dr Petrus also has a great since of humor. I would refer others to this business.

Such a great experience, Dr Petrus was so kind and compassionate, I appreciated being educated about the complex issues facing my little Ruffian. The staff was happy and efficient and so kind, just what one needs when facing a difficult time with your furry family member. Thank you to all at AVIM!

We cannot say enough wonderful things about the surgical team. Our dog Sugar had emergency surgery last week. Our surgeon was kind, caring, and compassionate. He took time to meet with us and we plain everything that was going on as well as the risks, complications, and follow up required. We were able to visit our dog in the ER until the surgeon was ready to take her for prep and he called as soon as he was finished the surgery. We had a follow up visit today and the entire staff was just fantastic ! We owe them the world for taking such good care of Sugar ( and us). Happily she is recovering and on her way back to being herself.

We have a cherished cat with chronic severe sinusitis with recurrent infections. Taking him to see an internist has led to very sophisticated care, and with that it is clear his health is better and he is a happier fellow. The doctor has been just magnificent, and the team could not be more gentle and loving every visit. The best of care!

Dr. Petrus and all the staff have been kind and compassionate. They know how traumatised our cat is by her annual visit and make it as easy as possible both for her and for us.

Dr. McLewee is amazing as is the entire staff at the Towson location. From the moment Candy was brought into the office, she was treated like a princess. I brought my other dog, Buddy, for moral support and he was also greeted and given a lot of attention. Dr. McLewee took the time to listen to my concerns and explained all the test results and ultrasounds in a very thorough manner. I am so thankful I brought Candy here. I wish I had done so sooner. Highly recommend!

They squeezed me in to find out what was going on with my pups liver as a recheck since he’s already been there, there were super friendly and amazing! Dropped him off and walked him to the door since he was scared, they got back to me as soon as they could since they squeezed me in but dr petrius was amazing same with the staff! Extremely impressed. With took our very sick cat to this location to see a internal medicine Dr. for cats. We were fortunate enough to be paired with Dr. Nivia I. Martinez. Her thoroughness and compassion with our cat was second to none. I would certainly recommend her to anyone who is looking for a caring and professional doctor.

Dr. Petrus in the Towson location is nothing short of amazing. I genuinely consider myself lucky to have found him to help my mini dachshund Dixie. He is always willing to answer questions, explain/break things down, and is passionate about his career and always is compassionate toward both animals and people. I had been to regular vet practices, animals hospitals and to another internal medicine doctor with not much answer or direction before I met Dr. Petrus. Dixie had about 40 pages of clinical notes he went thru before he saw Dixie and put together a time line of what happened before she was in his care to make a plan for her in which we are now finally seeing results. His knowledge is incredible and his thoroughness speaks for it. I wish I found Dr Petrus sooner but regardless I’m so thankful that I did. If you are as desperate to get your animal taken care of like I was, I highly recommend Dr. Petrus. It’s been worth every penny with him as well as I live a little over an hour away 38 weeks pregnant and it’s been worth the travel too. While there was no real fix for what I came there for, I was very impressed with my entire visit. I’m sorry I did not get the vet tech’s name but she was very caring and professional. Dr. Martinez was also very caring and professional, took her time to fully obtain the info she needed, explained everything in detail, never made me feel rushed and I left knowing if my pet requires further care she would be in the best hands if we ever needed to visit Dr. Martinez again. I came from out-of-state and would not hesitate to do so again. Highly recommend.

When my dog, Jet, was diagnosed with osteosarcoma this past January, my primary vet referred us to Dr. Calo at AVIMO. I have been very happy with the care Jet has received in the last eight months. The treatment they provide is state-of-the-art, and being co-located with other veterinary specialists means that there is always someone available to provide a second opinion at a moment's notice, if one is needed. The hours are convenient and flexible and the pricing is reasonable. Veterinary oncology treatment is not an inexpensive prospect, but I definitely feel like the pricing is fair at AVIMO, and the staff are always happy to discuss any concerns or questions I have. The clinic is very busy, and Covid means that we haven't yet been able to meet some of the team face-to-face, but Jet's enthusiasm at the curbside exchanges tells me everything I need to know about how wonderful AVIMO is. I hope that your pet will not need cancer treatment. If they do, though, they will be in good hands with Dr. Calo, Sommer, Krysten, and the rest of the team at AVIMO.

Doctor McLewee treated my dog as if it were her own child, and treated us with respect. She took the time to answer any and all questions we had with genuine kindness.

My 11 year old Yorkie, Sunshine, sees Dr. Martinez @ AVIM. Sunshine was diagnosed with kidney disease approximately one year ago. I can not say enough about Dr. Martinez and the rest of the staff @ AVIM. They are wonderful, caring people who go above and beyond what is expected. I have received phone calls from Dr. Martinez well after 5:00 pm and even on the weekends giving me updates on Sunshine's latest lab results. I know when I take Sunshine for her monthly office appointments, she is in the best of care.

Dr. Frank and Dr. Calo have been incredibly informative throughout our cat's cancer diagnosis and treatment. Receiving this diagnosis during COVID protocols has not been easy, and despite not being able to go into the hospital with my cat, they both made sure no question was unanswered, thoroughly explained all the options available to us and gave room for us to decide. Dr. Calo continues to provide an incredible amount of care throughout his treatment! Their vet tech team is always upbeat and helpful and adapts quickly to changing information!

They have given my cats and dogs added years of quality life! Also, they have provided excellent psychosocial care for them and me! I couldn't ask for more!

There is no comparison for the quality of emergency veterinary care we have received there. My wife and I have been involved in pet rescue since 2006, and a number of our Fuzzy Family members have been seniors near the end of their days. So unfortunately, we have had a number of medical crises over the decades. Not only is the level of care extraordinarily, they also seem to have found a constant stream of medical "angels" who have helped us during some trying situations. They are NOT inexpensive. But they are worth every penny.

Very good, they took all steps necessary prior to surgery so Zoey's surgery went successfully at 14 years old!
