I love this place and so does my dog, Jazzey! I have told my friends and family with dogs as well! I have a place to Jazzey can get a bath and not develope an ear infection!!

This was my first time having my 2 dogs (yorkie & shorkie) groomed and we loved what they did. They are so adorable. Tanya did a great job. We already have their followup appointments scheduled.

We boarded our dog, a 1.5-year-old pit mix, at Reisterstown for the first time not long ago. It was the first time he was away from us since we rescued him. He came back seeming happy, healthy and exhausted! The staff were courteous over phone and email, and were able to provide detailed notes when I asked how our dog was doing partway through his week away. I also appreciated that they were SUPER up front with their customers about changing operations -- because they had some cases of kennel cough, they put a pause on group play. I'm sure there are some places that either wouldn't put that pause or wouldn't call and let folks know ahead of time, but Reisterstown did both, and I can't tell you how appreciated it was. We will almost certainly use them again in the future when we travel.

We have only boarded our dog here twice and we never will again, which can be summed up in 4 reasons: When we dropped off our dog, we left him with 4 toys, a t-shirt, and dog food. In total, we sent our dog with eight days worth of food (bagged for each meal) for a seven-day stay in case we missed our flight. We called once while on our trip to get an update and we were told that he was eating and drinking normally, and doing well. Problem 1: RBK lied to us. When we picked our dog up, we asked to take his remaining prescription food, but we were told there was none left, despite me packing 2 additional meals. The girl who brought our dog out said he was a picky eater and didn't want to eat much while he was there. If that was the case, where was the extra food? Problem 2: RBK is disorganized. At pick up, our dog was missing 2 toys and t-shirt, we were told by RBK they could not be found. The girl went back inside to look and luckily found the t-shirt after two tries, but couldn’t find his other 2 toys. To make matters worse, when I asked for partial reimbursement for lost items, the manager was very dismissive and blamed everything on my dog, saying that dogs become destructive and destroy toys and sometimes they need to be thrown away or washed. Our dog has never done that, but let’s just say that he did, it should be the responsibility of RBK to document and let the owners know – not for us to inquire when we didn’t get the toys back. Problem 3: RBK does not communicate to customers well. If a toy has to be thrown away, it should be documented and the dog’s owner should be informed of what happened. We were told by the manager that we would be given a call back to follow up about the missing toys in case they were being washed. It is one week later and we have still yet to receive a call. To add on additional examples of poor communication, when we scheduled the second visit, we were not notified that their prices had increased. We asked for the same package that we had the first time, but were not told about the price increase until pick-up. Additionally, while making this reservation, we were told that last time, he didn’t get his gourmet treats because his stomach didn’t like them. We were never told of this at our first check out nor offered a partial refund. Problem 4: RBK is negligent in letting owners know about Kennel Cough exposure and has put into question the overall ethics at RBK. Our dog very rarely interacts with other dogs and is up-to-date on all his shots (including Bordetella), so it is a fair assumption that our dog did not have Kennel Cough prior to going to RBK. After pick up, we noticed our dog was sneezing quite often, so we went to the vet. During our visit, our vet advised us to be cautious of going to RBK because they’ve had multiple patients with Kennel Cough after staying at RBK. After visiting the vet, I decided to call RBK and let them know that our dog had Kennel Cough. We have called on other occasions only to receive no response from management, which is the main reason of this review, nor have we seen any notice of an outbreak. It’s the responsibility of RBK to let owners know that there is an outbreak, yet RBK withheld that information from us. Given the fact we’re in a pandemic and notice of exposure is commonplace, RBK has no excuse of ignorance. However, the evasive tactics by the managerial staff has done nothing but to convince us that RBK had any intention to let us know that our dog had been exposed. Most importantly, by not letting us know that our dog had been exposed, we could have been treating his Kennel Cough significantly earlier. Now, we are left to pay for the vet bills due to mistakes that RBK could have prevented by simply turning us away due to the outbreak or isolating our dog. Even at the bare minimum, RBK should have had the common decency to let us know our dog had been exposed to Kennel Cough at pick-up and that was not even met which is why we will not go back.

We've taken our golden doodle for grooming here for over a year. They do a great job and definitely listen and get to know how you want your dog trimmed. Highly recommended.

I have consistently taken my now 10-year-old Irish Setter to RBK for boarding. The staff are always very welcoming. He loves the pool, when it is open in the warmer months. I did try a different establishment one time years ago, after he developed a case of kennel cough after a stay at RBK, but he returned from the other place significantly despondent, so I went back without hesitation to RBK. He always returns from RBK in good spirits and outside of the one illness in 10 years of going there, he always returns healthy. I would recommend boarding your animal companion(s) here!

People usually comment only when the experience about a service is bad. But I like to emphasize when a service is good and in this case the service was excellent. I looked in several places for a space to take care of my dog ​​for 10 days. And I am very happy to say that I received good recommendations and also read all the reviews here. I traveled and for the first time my dog ​​needed to be away from me. But she found shelter and care here. Every day my emails answered me, when I called too. I saw my dog's photos on Instagram and it calmed my heart. She came back beaming. And I recommend the dog bath service. I paid for it and it came back very well. We really appreciate the care for her. I RECOMMEND! And I feel confident about leaving my dog ​​again under the care of such good people. And I especially thank Laura and the office staff. Thanks.

My dog spent 2 days here. A week later he was diagnosed with kennel cough. He was perfectly healthy before going in.

Our rescue absolutely loves this place and we love them because of that! Well, also because they might love our dog as much as we do. He's as excited to see the staff as he is to see us when we come home. Great facility and knowledgeable staff.

Referred by acquaintance who gave high marks to facility. I give them 4 stars. We have placed our 7 month old husky and 12 year old yorkie in their care on average two days a week. Employees show loving care and will address any concerns you have. I highly recommend them.

My dogs absolutely LOVE this place! The girls that work here are great at remembering your name and your dogs, even when they aren't regulars. I love that they keep the grounds up and have a ton of activities for the dogs to do. I don't feel like they are in the cage most of the day! They come out to the car not wanting to leave every time! Oh and they always take photos and post them so I can see them playing. I just wish they were closer to my house and they definitely need to be open longer hours 7-6 would be perfect for people that work.

I left a prior review praising RBK for their great care and caring attitude. They have a first rate facility and wonderful staff. We have boarded our two bulldogs with them many times and never worried that they were in good hands. The owner is a veterinarian and the staff and operation are very professionally managed. Recently, one of our dogs died and we received a hand-written card from the staff with very detailed rememberances and heartfelt sympathy. Does anything say anything more about how much they care about the dogs they care for? This is the place you should board your pets!!!

We starting taking our Pitbull Irie to RBK about a year or so ago. She hated her last boarding place and would whine and protest once we got close. Here she was so happy to get out of the car and go see her friends! When we picked her up she was happy and still smiling from the great time she had during her vacation and spa time. This always made us feel comfortable dropping her off. We knew she was in good hands the whole time. On 2/14/21 Irie passed so we contacted RBK to advise them that she will not be visiting them anymore. A few weeks later, we received a card in the mail with personalized remarks and words of comfort from all of their team that had interacted with Irie during her visits. They were a 5 star before this but this puts them over the top! It is always the little things that go the furthest. We now have two new pitties in our lives. Beignet and Roux will be staying for their first vacation and spa time on 3/10/21. I am excited for them to experience the same great time away from their humans as Irie did!

FIRST TIME AND AN AMAZING EXPERIENCE! I have a 6 month 100 pound cane corso and the staff was very knowledgeable and answer all of my questions. I must tell you that their grooming skills are impeccable. They are well organized with this pandemic. TREAT YOU SWEET PET WITH THIS AMAZING FACILITY.

I highly recommend RBK ! I have used them for years and had nothing but great experiences ! This is a follow up to my previous review last year... Since that time, one of my dogs Caleb passed away. Reisterstown Kennel sent me the nicest card . It was signed by everyone, with the nicest messages. They truly care about the pets they take care of. We have another dog who is very aggressive. He won't let any vet take care of him but he walks in Reisterstown kennel with no problem and even lets them cut his nails. He knows a good place when he sees one ! It is great to know your pet is in great hands when you go away ! Thank you Reisterstown Pet Resort !!!

I started using them for daycare when we moved to Hanover, PA. I work very close to them so it is actually very convenient to have my pup stay there while I am at work. The best part about this place, so far, is that they have so much outdoor space for dogs to run and play!! Our last daycare was in the burbs in a warehouse with little outdoor space, so this is a real treat. The staff is great and so friendly. They have multi-day packages to save you money if you want to become a regular. Staff is taking some good precautions during COVID-19, as well; curbside pickup and dropoff only and staff is wearing masks to and from cars.
