I’ve been taking my labradoodle to Comb and Collar Pet Salon for the past 2 years and they provide top notch service. The prices are very reasonable, they are so loving to Laney, and do a great job with her grooming. I highly recommend!

Great grooming service! My 5 year old Golden Retriever is a regular here, and she always looks and smells great after her service. We’ve tried other groomers and they just don’t do a thorough enough job. They take the time to really comb her out! Five plus stars for Comb & Collar!!

I truly wish I was able to give negative stars. Last Tuesday my parents took their very sweet, calm 10-year-old Norwegian Elkhound there and had a horrible experience. While she was there for her appointment, they received a phone call asking if she had any cuts on her? When my father arrived to pick her up, he was not charged for the grooming service. Upon brining her home fully pushing back her fur and investigating the cut further it was determined that this was a major gash down to the muscle of her leg and needed immediate attention. She ultimately ended up at the Pet ER and required 6 staples in her leg. Norwegian Elkhounds do not have their fur cut or even clipped. Aside from washing and brushing the only thing that could be use is a Thinner. We cannot come up with a scenario that was not intentional for this to have happened. Since then several scabs from obviously much smaller cuts have been found on her while petting her. I contacted the owner of Comb and Collar the day after the appointment. She accepted responsibility for the injury but claimed she had no idea how it happened. She let me know that her 17 year-old daughter had been the one to bathe her and that possibly it was from a comb? She admitted that she is a calm dog and gave them no problems, she has been groomed her entire life, but this was her first and last visit to Comb and Collar. The owner did pay the bill for her visit to the Pet ER which of course is appreciated but in no way makes this situation ok. I am not a fan of bashing any business and debated even posting anything however after now finding additional scabs indicating additional mishandling. Since posting this on a community page. I have found out that the 17 year old who did this thinks it’s funny. I have been contacted by 2 people who have witnessed her abusing dogs and several others who have had terrible experiences requiring vet attention for various injuries that happened to their dogs while in Collar and Combs care.

Can't say enough about Taylor at Comb and Collar!! My daughter is graduating from High School this year and has her Senior portrait session this Saturday, and she has chosen to bring her little Poodle Lexi with her to be in the pictures. Not only was Taylor able to squeeze us in to get Lexi all dolled up for her photo shoot but she went above and beyond by finding her school colors of Blue and Gold in little Bows for Lexi's hair!! My daughter was super excited to see them. Taylor has a calming nature and always makes Lexi feel right at home. Thank again Taylor for going above and beyond!!!

The three ladies I have met have all been extremely friendly, and my dogs actually love going into the salon now. They come out smelling great and looking better then they have in years. I would recommend them to anyone who loves their pet.

This used to be Dana's,now it's called Comb & Collar. It should be called Comb & Scalp. We have used Dana's for over 6 years for our 2 dogs. We never had any problems. We called in and were told that Dana sold the business but everything was the same. They knew what to do and we setup the appointment. My dog was supposed to be washed and groomed. They scalped my dog. When I complained they blamed Dana's records. The shave job was so bad, there is bare skin. Around the dogs neck of looks like a 1st grader went to work with safety scissors. These people are unqualified for this business. The say they are licenced and certified. Maryland has no regulation for groomers. They don't have Dana's groomers anymore. Do your pet a favor and go elsewhere.

Dana’s grooming would have never done to my dog what this place has! I know Janice would be devastated to see my dog!! The new owners DO NOT LISTEN! spoke to them for 20minutes about my dog and they completely ignored or chose not to listen to a word. They shaved my dog and butchered her face, looks like a 2 year old cut her hair. When it was Dana’s, my dog was there all day, should have been the first clue, the new owner finished in 1 hr. Also, my dog is older and has bad hips and was placed into a small crate, she could not even stand in the crate. I am so sad, have had many great years with the best care and best grooming, but no more. This saddens and upsets me.. I have shared this with multiple people who I have personally sent to Dana’s and they will not go under these new owners. I never do these reviews but I don’t want anyone else to experience what we have and what my poor dog had to go through. These owners obviously Do Not listen and clearly have no understanding or knowledge of how to groom dogs. Please be careful and do your pets a favor and do not go!! Janice, you are greatly missed!! :(
