The doc and his staff are always awsome. The doc always provides different options for treatment and is upfront with my family which is always a great asset in my mind. This is my preferred place to take my pets.

NOT A SAFE PLACE. Went for a routine vaccination and they tried to take my dog away from me. When I refused they made me wait an hour for my shot. When I lost patience and moved to cancel and leave they tried to bill me for the visit. When I refused and left they sent a guy running and yelling at me attacking my windshield wipers and trying to force his way through the door.

My daughter took her puppy here, her three-year-old Pitbull Roxy Rue Mahoney. She had to be spayed, this was a wonderful Veterinarian Service. They were absolutely wonderful here. Now my daughter has decided to make Prospect veterinarian Clinic her regular veterinarian for her doggy daughter. Roxy has healed nicely it's been almost a month and she is happy and playing like as always.

I recently found prospect vet clinic after they were recommended to me by several people on a Facebook post looking for a vet after newly adopting my puppy "Chaos" I was so pleased with the service we received. Curbside service ran so smoothly. Everyone was friendly from check in, to getting Chaos inside, Dr. Hawley was very knowledgeable and helpful with all my questions and communication via was successful, the girl at the front desk was very helpful in getting my next appointment scheduled to talking to me about the flea and tick preventatives as well as a fast checkout. I highly recommend Dr Hawley and his staff to assist with all your fur baby needs.

edit* We did not receive a free spay, we paid for a voucher that the humane society offers. Its 30$ for the 125$ voucher, leaving 125$ left to be paid upon service, ensuring the clinic receives fair payment for the service. But you know that, and you are twisting the situation to appear as the victim. The girl you claim was co-owner, is not listed on the dogs info as such and even if she was no id was checked before you had her add onto a completed contract that had already been signed and verified by the owner. Which you then lied about over the phone claiming the forms were emailed without signature, when they had been provided physically with signature. Im extremely displeased with your response as it is full of lies. We never even asked for the money back, only that you took responsibility for your negligence, which we did so kindly and patiently for hours. I do believe it would be best if your clinic to remove itself from the humane society program as it seemed your aggression stemmed from our utilization of it. I pray you gain more respect for your customers, and for your boss as your attitude is costing him business. Front staff altered signed procedure contract without owners consent, to add an extra microchip after they had been notified over the phone that the dog already has a microchip while they had the dogs current microchip information in hand. Then proceeded to be extremely rude and defensive when confronted on how something like that could happen. Dont trust this vet or his staff, they will screw you over to make a buck. terrible service, terrible people.

Truly can't say enough good things about Prospect. You can really tell how much Dr. Hawley loves animals...he treats our family's dogs like his own and has always gone above and beyond for us/them. Same goes for the vet tech, Cordelia. You'd think we were related with the kind of care we get when we go there! Highly recommend!

Very disappointed. My initial impression was that everyone was so nice and easy to work with. The Doctor is very personable and very clearly cares about his patients and their well-being. This made it especially upsetting to experience their response to a simple mistake that would not have been a big issue if any one of them would have simply been accountable rather than immediately blame shift, gaslight, and end up going scorched earth rather than simply say "sorry". What Happened ~ I participated in the Humane Society program that off-sets the cost. It was not free, but at a reduced price for qualifying applicants. When the appointment was made they asked if I wanted extra bloodwork, I said NO I did not as the puppy had recent vet care. (I am clarifying that and the fee because I see in their reply below they had that wrong) I received a call the day before surgery, the message stated they were confirming the spay and microchip. I called back immediately and confirmed the spay but told them that the puppy is ALREADY MICROCHIPPED and DO NOT MICROCHIP HER PLEASE. The day of surgery I had to work so my teenage daughter brought the puppy and a folder with all the required documents completed and signed by me. This included her proof of rabies and her microchip ID number. I highlighted the rabies injection date and the microchip ID which was directly below the rabies date on the same page, you couldn't miss it. But somehow, they did, and they Microchipped her again. It is their policy to ask about blood work and microchip again at drop off, something I was not told, nor was I told that whoever dropped the puppy off would be considered an "authorized agent". So, they asked my daughter and she initialed the box for the microchip and the one to decline the bloodwork. For the record, they did not ask if she was the owner or co-owner, nor did they ask if she was old enough to sign a legal contract, they did not ask for identification or if she was an "authorized agent". She is not the owner, nor is she the co-owner, she is not listed on the paperwork whatsoever. Regardless, she initialed the line and fully accepts her role in the mishap, she realizes she should have refused to sign or called me first. She accepted her responsibility and paid the $50 microchip fee without question. The clinic, on the other hand, adamantly refused to accept their role and responsibility. When they called and told me the puppy had been microchipped. I asked why she was microchipped again. I wasn't mad, I never refused to pay or said anything about the fee, but the lady jumped right in with "it's in there you have to pay for it!" She offered to withhold the pain medication to "cover the extra cost" which seemed mean to me, but the money wasn't the issue, she assumed it was I guess because she also called me out for having a reduced cost spay, which felt like shaming to me. I really had just asked why, how? It is disappointing to me that they have taken this path of trying to twist the events and outright lie about myself and the interaction (I was not vulgar or aggressive whatsoever!), and now threatening to stop participating in a program that helps so many people in Frederick Co. Yes, my daughter initialed where they said to, that's on us. What I wanted them to acknowledge was that they were told the dog was already chipped, they didn't document it, that's on them. They were given documents that showed that she was microchipped, and "didn't see it" , that's on them. A simple "oops, we missed it, sorry" would have been FINE. At the end of the day two microchips aren't going to hurt the dog, but their response can hurt a lot of people. They are choosing to go complete scorched earth and threaten to shut down the program rather than accept their role in the mistake. FTR- I wrote this review to share my side of the story because they replied to a review below making some allegations that are absolutely not true. Which is unprofessional, as was their response to the mistake and their blatant refusal to take any responsibility for it.

PVC has been the Veterinarian practice for my dogs and cats for over 30 Years. Dr Hawley and his staff always take great care of my canine and feline family. In particular, they are fantastic with my English Shepherd Puppies who always get their "adoption physicals" at PVC when they are ready to leave me for their New Forever Homes!!

Unfortunately my fur baby became very sick and I realized she needed care quickly. I had made an appointment at our regular vets office but it was for the following day and we couldn’t wait. I decided to take her here to Prospect as they could a) get us in that day, even though they were busy they made the time for her and b) they accepted the pet insurance and I knew it would be a process. So glad I brought her, that was the best choice I could have made. Dr. Hawley and his staff recognized she needed surgery soon and the next day was far too busy. They did not hesitate to all stay late to make sure she was treated and operated on. Dr. Hawley was extremely informative and compassionate, updating me all along the way. Even though I was afraid for her and worried, I felt so relieved that she was with them and I knew that she was safe. Not only did he stay late but he stayed the night with her and checked on her throughout. As kind of a crazy in love pet parent, I cannot tell you what that meant to me knowing that she was not alone throughout this trauma. He literally saved her life and I could not be more grateful. Even though I have a much longer history with our other vet and no complaints, I honestly do not believe that we would have had the same blessed experience that we have had with Dr. Hawley and his team. We will definitely now be lifelong patients at Prospect and I don’t see us ever looking back. Thank you so much Dr. Hawley and Team!!

I am always a mess when I talk to or go to the vet and I miss calls and then fumble all over myself trying to make up for the missed calls making a neusence of myself. The staff is always kind regardless. The vet is also very kind and they all do an amazing job. I have a cat with mega colon a very uncommon and serious ailment and a cat with hyperthyroid. The vet and staff take very good care of them. Like I said regardless of what kind of a mess I am, they are always kind to me.

I received a voucher to have my cat neutered at this facility from a company called “spay today”. I paid them $80 for the service and everything included. I was not called by the facility nor was I told to have $115 ready at the time of service due to “charges not included”. I was not happy about this but I didn’t mind paying considering it’s still very cheap. I dropped off my cat and they called me with everything I needed to know before I could pick him up. All in all not a bad experience and I would recommend this place to my friends if needed.

I took my dog Charlie to the Prospect Veterinarian clinic with a serious infection caused by an abscessed tooth. He was in great pain and his cheek was so swolen that he was unable to open his left eye. Dr. Robert Hawley and his staff made Charlie a very happy dog once again. Dr. Hawley and his team showed much concern for my pet. I highly recommend this veterinarian to anyone that owns a pet. Many thanks from Charlie and his owner.

Our family just moved from Florida to Frederick about a month ago. Unfortunately, last Friday evening my wife noticed something not right on our Huskies rear. After inspecting further I noticed an abscess. Our doggy daughter was acting fine otherwise. Eating fine, drinking fine, and just being how she normally is. Since she was showing no other signs we decided to hold off on an emergency visit. We researched veterinarians in Frederick and stumbled upon PVC. We read all the reviews and figured we take a shot since the majority of patients were highly satisfied. I called Monday morning and spoke with Krista. After explaining my pups condition she offered is an appointment for 1:15PM. We had figured since Covid-19 we would have to wait at least a week or two but they got us right in. We arrived there at 1:00PM, called into the office and at about 1:10 they came out to get our pup, Mia, and hand is the paperwork. Every employee we spoke with and/or interacted with was extremely kind, knowledgeable, and very caring! After waiting in our car for about 10 minutes the Doctor called with the prognosis. Our baby had an infected scent gland that had to be drained, and irrigated under sedation. After speaking with the Doctor for about 5 minutes he had me feeling very comfortable, and confident with the procedure he needed to perform. They told us it would take about 1 hour and that we could either wait, go home, or do whatever and they would call us as soon as they were completed. My wife and I decided to go into one of the stores in the same shopping center and "look around", yeah right "look"! Anyway, within about a half hour to 45 mins the doctor called to let us know that they were done, and all was good. There wasn't one employee here that we didn't feel like we couldn't trust. This was probably the best experience we have ever had with a veterinarian office. Thank you to everyone who helped care for our baby! PVC is definitely our fur babies new Doctor's office. We will see you in 2 weeks for her checkup.

The Vet and the workers there were very professional and open on Sunday! I was able to get my dogs their yearly rabies shots and their nails clipped! Pricing was a tad bit high but it was an initial visit for both animals! Awesome job! Well done!

To whom it may concern: The dictionary defines superlative as: of the highest kind, quality, or order, surpassing all else, or others. Supreme. I define it as Dr Hawley. As a veterinarian, as a leader, as a man, and as a friend, he is of the highest kind, quality, and order. Supreme. -Michael Scott -The Fuka Family
