The staff at Opossum Pike Veterinary feel like family. They have been with us for so much for over 13 years. They are kind, caring, and compassionate and we are grateful for having them in our lives to help care for our fur babies.

Aloof Vet & Unfriendly Receptionist My 6 year old indoor cat started to have persistent urinary tract problems(frequent urination) and we came to this vet 7 times over the last year or two and they only gave us antibiotics/medicated dry food and sent us on our way every single time without doing any additional tests besides a urinalysis only twice. We just wanted to have this problem solved for our little fur baby. When we started asking more questions about why this isn't going away with just a round of antibiotics and medicated food they finally gave up and told us to go get a 2nd opinion then deactivated our account without even telling us! I didn't think a 2nd opinion warranted an account deactivation? Also, the receptionist was quite rude about it when we tried to buy more medicated C/D food before our appointment with 2nd vet Now finally we went to the Cat Vet clinic over in Liberty town and the vet told us he thought it odd that the Opossumtown vet didn't give her a urine culture or an x-ray since this problem was persistent and that they should have been more thorough? Why wouldn't they prescribe anxiety medication? Why no xray??Odd. I'm upset that we wasted so much money and time for just getting antibiotic pills prescribed and not even a second glance from the Opossumtown vet at what the persistent problem could be. Please please do your research after the Opossum Pike Veterinary Clinic gives your pet a diagnosis. Double check that they actually care about your pet and are not just being overworked or lazy.

Got my mom's sick kitty in very quick! He had a bladder stone and wasn't able to pass urine. The Dr was very good with him got the stone out and had him feeling all better and back home by the end of the day.

Wonderful office that truly takes care of your furry family.

They changed my dogs breed without my consent or notifying me to a breed my dog appeared to be. Then gave me so much hassle when I asked them to change it back. Unfortunate because I really liked the area.

My grandma has gone to this place for year then in October there best veterinarian retired and she was skeptical about going there yet we went. We called and made a appointment and they did not tell us over the phone that when you get there you cannot go in with your animal. So with this information that we did not get we took them today and when we got there they took her two dogs in and they just took the dogs without telling her what was going on. I understand that this is going on during the corona virus but we being in Maryland are in stage 2 (i think) and the problem we had was with the dishonesty and disrespect they had for us as a Custer for this act we will never go back to them again.

All the staff from the front desk to the doctors are very professional, caring and attentive to my fur baby’s needs. They communicate very well about procedures and cost. Are wonderful with following up to make sure things are going well with you and your pet at home after a procedure. The dental techs and boarding staff are awesome. You know it’s great when your baby is actually happy and not anxious about going to the vet.

This is one of the few places that will tend two exotic animals like rabbits in Fredrick MD. At this point they are not taking new clients but if you're ready a client with them you're required to actually schedule appointment by phone.

Have taken excellent care of our dogs over the past 20 years. Were very kind and showed compassion when we had to put down our two older dogs. New rescue dog is very shy, just as caring with her.

This facility truly cares about the animals they are treating. I have been going here for years and I have never left there with questions or concerns. They always make my babies feel better and they are VERY fair with pricing. Front desk, vet tech, and doctors are always so nice and caring. I will never go to another vet.
