This is the absolute worst location ever. I've filed so many complaints. Their excuse is always because they have new employees. They need to get it together. Run from this place if you can. The only thing they are concerned about is collecting your money every month; not the well being of your pet.

We recently got a puppy and Banfield is like visiting family. The staff is always friendly and super helpful. Their wellness plan is a great plan for a puppy because of all the attention they need.

Called Banfield Urbana Pike Frederick today @ 445 on a Saturday after noon. Alex answered the phone and I told him my problem with Bella. Although it was very close to closing, Alex spoke with Dr. Ringley who said she would see Bella right away. Long story short Great Job Alex, Dr. Ringley and staff for taking excellent care and resolving her issue right away.

Lacks personalization. It's a cookie cutter operation. Covid is over. Let the people talk to the vet.

The facility is inside of Petsmart. The reception staff is friendly, and prompt. I arrived a few minutes before my appointment, which I had made the afternoon prior. They checked my Pittie Lola in. Animal owners are not allowed in exam rooms for Covid safety. This facility has a Vet Tech named Kevin, he is incredible with my two Pitties, they adore him. Lola sometimes has aggression issues, Kevin handled her start to finish of the visit. He put her at ease during her exam. They dealt with her issue, conveyed what they did to me, answered my questions, and made suggestions on her diet. Kevin returned a happy Lola to me at check out, a staff member printed out Lola's health report. In and out in under an hour. Lola and I continued our day.

Be careful, I took my dog here yesterday for a ear infection and told the staff that my dog is most likely pregnant and they said okay. Long story short the vet prescribed her prednisone for it and this could abort her litter. Seems like the receptionist don’t pay attention to detail here... Time to start looking for another vet.

I do not recommend going to them. We were a few minutes late for our puppy appointment due to traffic. My boyfriend goes to take our puppy inside to get checked in. While trying to check him in the receptionist tells him he our puppy can’t be seen today. For being a few minutes late this is crazy. So they leave. One minute later and I mean one minute later the receptionist calls my phone to tell me that our puppy can be seen if we want to bring him back in. Like are you serious! You just turned us away and now you want us to bring him back in. The guy then goes to say that the dr was with another pet. So our appointment was at 5:45 and the dr was behind but bc we were a few minutes (6) behind it was a problem. Our pup would’ve had to wait anyway. What really upset me was they were there and you turned them away just to call me a min later to say the dr will see him. Smh bad service. No thank u, u will not take your anger out on our pup. Avoid them if possible

I usually have very positive experiences with them, but this week has been extremely frustrating. I come to get my cat a booster, they are out of the vaccine. They forget to give me my revolution that I added to my plan. I asked if I come back in 2 days will I be able to avoid restarting the vaccine series, they say yes. I show up 2 days later for the vaccine, AFTER the vet calls me and says he will need a booster in 3 weeks. What?! The staff told me it wouldn’t be needed. With my work schedule doing over time every single week at the hospital it is very upsetting that they are this careless about the information they give out. Sadly disappointed

Make sure that your pets death is planned accordingly because though you may think you are going to save money by paying a monthly plan fee and spread it over the year, when your pet decides to unexpectedly die you will still be forced to pay the monthly payments based on what services they believe they have rendered. I will be removing my second dog from their care as soon as her plan is up for renewal. There is nothing like getting a monthly reminder on your bank statement that your dog is no longer here! The vet itself is wonderful and helpful but their corporate polices are a complete joke.

So far so good ???? it's scary enough to have to drop my baby off somewhere, but my worries were at ease thanks to the pleasant staff. I definitely appreciate how thorough they are when explaining everything going on with my pup ????

Think twice before taking your dog to this place. After 5 months taking my dog (7 months old) to this place, spending a LOT of money in test/ X-rays/ medication and seeing that he was getting worst , I decided to changed my dog with another Vet. The diagnosis of the new Vet in the first visit : positive for Lyme disease, positive for gardia, and heart-beat irregularities due to the high dosis of steroids. When the new Vet called for my dog's records, he was told that my dog had food allergies and needed more X-rays to found out the leg problem; of course none of the things were correct. They almost led my dog die and kill him with the medicine they prescribed.

Glenstone is truthfully indescribable. You have to experience it. I visited on a rainy day and it didn't dampen my experience (pun intended) in the least. One visit to Glenstone isn't enough. I will definitely be going back.

One of the worst banfield locations I’ve ever been to. The line is always ridiculous, wait times ridiculous even with appointments and they never have openings.. like you have to schedule 3-4 months out to be seen. Disappointing considering we pay monthly..

I love love love this banfield! I have been with them for 2 years now. They have taken care of my chocolate lab who they also put down, and now with my rescue dog Ella. Most of the vet techs are extremely nice and know Ella by name. They show her so much love when she arrives. Dr. Torres is an AMAMZING vetinarian. He has been Ella’s Doctors since I adopted her and not only does he love her but she loves him! Ella goes here for heart warm treatments once or twice a months, and anyone who knows about heart worms knows how extremely serious it is. The vet techs and dr. Torres always make sure Ella is doing well. They call me all the time to check up on her and during her treatments they stay with her the whole time and comfort her. She has a favorite nurse who always makes sure to work on the days Ella is scheduled for treatments which makes me feel so relieved. I have no complaints about this place and I would recommend it to anyone! Amazing vets and vet techs, pretty affordable and super easy to get insurance for your pet which covers so much!

Started taking my pup here a few months back after she got a surprise UTI on a Sunday afternoon. My old vet was too far away and I just needed to have her seen ASAP. Not only did they work her into their schedules, but they never made me feel like we inconvenienced them for the extra visit. We ended up signing up for their wellness plan after a couple more visits, and could not be happier. I've seen multiple vets there and a few different techs, and each one treats my dog as if it were their own. It is very clear that all of their employees genuinely care about their patients, which is amazing. Other reviewers have complained that they discuss pricing before anything, and assume that the vets are all about money, but I appreciate that they let you know beforehand so it's not a shock when you get your bill at the end. Honestly, I can't say enough great things about this place. They are so great with both pet owners and their pet patients. Do yourself a favor and check out their wellness plans too, its saving us tons of money.

No. No. And No. I have been with Banfield for over four years now, first in Gainesville, VA then in Bethesda, MD. While in Gainesville, the vets were nice enough but I still kept a primary vet who truly knew what he was doing. Bethesda MD was a dream. Perhaps this experience raised my expectations for Banfield vets. Dr. K was marvelous. Then I moved to Frederick and switched to the Urbana Pike clinic. The girls at the front are quite nice and helpful, so no complaints there, but the vet! She is the "Chief of Staff" so I elected her as my dog's vet and what a HORROR. One of my angels needed a cyst removed and the stitches she sewed looked like I did it! My poor baby has puckering, lumpy sutures that are uneven. I was shocked when I picked her up as I know it will leave a horrible scar. I have taken my other dog for surgery elsewhere for a luxating patella and VOSM of Annapolis Junction rebuilt his knee with barely a trace of a scar. This Banfield vet, Dr. McDonald the "Chief of Staff" of Frederick stitched my dog like a bad home economics project. Then I, mistakenly, tried her again for simple shots. She jabbed at my poor baby and my dog yelped and leapt off the table! He was BLEEDING afterwards, and her response was "oops, must have hit a bad spot, sorry." Are you kidding me! She looks all of twelve and is a complete ditz and amatuer who should NOT be practicing medicine yet. No more! No way. Please do not go here with your beloved pet!

I normally don't do reviews for places, but I really feel like I have to do one for this Banfield. This morning I had to bring my cat in to be put down. He had an extreme form of cancer and his life was coming to an end. Having to put your pet down is one of the worst decisions you will ever have to make, and this Banfield went above and beyond for us. The vet assistant explained everything to us and was very sympathetic. She made sure my cat was very comfortable and gave us as much time as we needed to process. When it came time the vet allowed me to hold him as they put him down, which is not usual with places like an animal shelter. The vet was very quick in administering and he passed very quickly and painlessly. I cannot thank the vets and staff at this banfield enough for how well they treated me and most importantly my really special cat.
