We love Pleasantville Animal hospital, they are honest nice people. Our rescue boxer loves them.

I have 2 pets that come to this Animal hospital. We have a dog and a bird (Bird is new and never needed an aviary vet before so it's convenient that they do that as well). All times I have needed to be seen or just for a check up, this vet has been awesome at getting us in very quickly. The receptionist has always been so professional. They take the pets inside from your car, check them out and do what ever else needs to be done and they bring them back out to you and talk to you about their health. They keep a credit card on file so you don't even have to send your payment in and they discuss the charges with you before they charge the card. It's like a drive thru for pet care! They really care about your pet. This is the best vet we have gone to so far! Thank you Pleasantville Animal Hospital and I am looking forward to being a loyal member of your vet family for many years to come!

I am a new puppy mom and had a traumatic incident occur on a weekday evening. Puppy injured and bleeding, I had no idea what was wrong but jumped in the car while family called the vet. I arrived right when they were closing, and they waited for me to get there. Dr. Gounaris and his staff responded immediately when I arrived and took the puppy in for exam. She needed surgery. She stayed overnight and had surgery the next day, which incidentally, was a snowstorm. After the surgery the staff called to say all went well. Took puppy home later that day. Pup had a small complication the next morning, called the office and they told me to bring her in, so back we went. Dr. Gounaris saw her right away and treated her, pup as able to come home and is doing well. What can I say, they are the BEST. Comparing the cost with other vets in the area, I can comfortably say they are extremely reasonable, I was prepared to pay twice as much as they charged. This vet is 30 minutes from my house and worth the trip every time. I can recommend without any reservations. This practice cares about your animals, and you. I was pretty discouraged over this incident, and they helped me feel better, too! Puppy is doing well and expected to make a full recovery. Very knowledgeable and compassionate vet, Dr Scott G. We went here for the first time the other night to put down our 12 year old boxer and Dr Scott took the time to assess her to determine that she not suffering and is ok to be around a little longer. When trying to schedule this visit earlier in the day the office staff was wonderful and contacted our old vet so we could get squeezed in to be seen that same evening! They were very kind and empathetic. We will definitely return here with our other dogs.

Took my cockatiel in for an emergency vet visit and the quality of care and service was really excellent. Dr. Rebecca patiently and thoroughly answered my questions and provided me with plenty of information about my bird's health (and I'm excited to say my bird now appears fully recovered!)

Went in and got a microchip and exam for our macaw. Fantastic team, fantastic vet, and fantastic pricing! Had to drive an hour one way to get there and it was WORTH THE DRIVE. They handled Chutney very gently and confidently and got his chip in super quickly, minimizing his stress and the time he was under anesthesia. I was almost out the door when the Doctor asked me if Chutney was known to pick at skin irritations, and I said he was so young I wasn't sure. Something like this would be new to him. Dr. Rebecca said since we lived so far she would give us a couple doses free of charge. The receptionist said we could wait in the car and they would bring it out. I was so surprised when the vet herself brought the meds out! This place really cares about the people and their pets, and not just $$. I am changing veterinarians and all of our birds are going to be seeing Dr. Rebecca, I don't care about the drive.

We have used these vets for over 7 years and they are amazing. All 3 vets are kind, caring and great with my animals. The office staff and vet techs are excellent as well. I highly recommend them!

Pleasantville has been the best. I was one of those lucky enough to have a covid puppy and the last visit to pleasantville was my first in person visit. They’ve been nothing but phenomenal with me over the past year. Looking forward to the future with my puppy.

I am so happy with this office. They are always informative. Go the extra mile for thier animals and owners. The other day I brought Jet for a concern and also asked questions about another pet. They were happy to look up and answer a few questions on Kitty too. A wonderful place to go for pets.

I love the folks at Pleasantville! My dogs mean the world to me -- so I am extremely particular about their care. I am a new customer that started with a new puppy during the pandemic. During such a trying time, it is easy to be lost in the impersonal restrictions of safe distancing, but Pleasantville Animal Hospital has been incredible. They are always professional and kind. I have always spoken directly to the vet and have felt that they have listened to and addressed all of my concerns. My puppy has been born with anxiety and they have gone above and beyond to help make her feel comfortable during her visits. I have had the pleasure of working with all of the three veterinarians and each has been wonderful. I highly recommend this family of veterinarians (dad, daughter and son).

This is a great place to bring your pets. They are very kind and reasonable with pricing. I had to bring my cat in for an emergency surgery and they took very good care of her. Needless to say my cat is healing very well. I am so thankful that they were able to fit me in at last minutes notice. Thank you everyone at Pleasantville for all your help.
