The staff here amaze me and I'm so happy that they take wonderful care of my boys whenever they need to be seen. Setting up an appointment is convenient and easy with either calling, using their website, etc. I highly recommend them if you live in the area.

Nice place with nice doctors. Also stays open past 5pm which is helpful.

I've been taking my kitty here since 2013. The team, though it has changed over the course of the years which is to be expected over the course of 7+ years, has been great. They take wonderful care of my cat and in more recent years have gone more digital to make scheduling and following up more streamlined. Every doctor I've interacted with has been very professional and happy to answer my many questions. Would def recommend!

We recently moved to the area, and after careful research, chose Fairfax Animal Hospital to care for my two dogs. One of my dogs had a medical emergency recently, and I could not have asked for better, more compassionate care than Dr. Goldfarb and his staff provided that anxious evening. I highly recommend everything about this practice, and look forward to a long relationship with them.

After trying several clinics in the area- my mom insisted I make an appointment to see Dr Irwin who treats one of her dogs- I had struggled to find a veterinarian who took the time to explain things until I finally listened to my mother! Dr Irwin was patient and thorough. I did not feel rushed whatsoever. She is knowledgeable and for the first time in a while I left feeling at ease. The front office is pleasant. They are kind and as Dr Irwin, don’t make you feel rushed. I’ve gone to several places and it has always felt chaotic. Thank you Fairfax Animal Hospital!!

The staff are so friendly and clearly care about you and your pets. Our previous vet in a different town was great, but we love the team at Fairfax Animal Hospital and recommend them to anyone.

Unfortunately due to the pandemic we were not able to go in with our baby. The doctor came out and explained everything to us.

They have been there for us over the years. Plan on continuing to trust my 2 cats, and dog with them even if I move further away. Knowledgeable and explains everything to you. Efficient and so kind to my pets. The doctors and staff are the best.

I really like and trust my vet, and many of the staff here are wonderful - this is not meant to disparage them. However, I have noticed some dysfunction, and believe they are overbooking. I understand things are busy now. However, I have called in twice now (on two separate occasions) with a sick puppy and each time been told they wouldn’t be able to get her in for several weeks - this seems excessive, and many of my (pet owning) friends in the area agree. I was also told by someone over the phone that they were unable to give my puppy antibiotics for what was very obviously a UTI until test results came back, 3-5 days later. I took her to the emergency vet (she was clearly in discomfort and I didn’t want things getting worse) and she was immediately prescribed antibiotics, no waiting for the results to come back, & got better in 2 days - this makes me doubt the claim that giving me antibiotics before results came back was illegal/impossible, and it seems that my pet would have suffered unnecessarily.

My husband and I recently moved to the area and Fairfax Animal Hospital was able to fit in both of our doggos very quickly. They caught the problem and were able to treat it in 24 hours... we won't be taking our sweeties anywhere else!

This practice has taken care of our pups for years. We tried other practices in the area and found these doctors, techs and office staff at Fairfax Animal Hospital to be top notch. The team is knowledgeable, experienced, compassionate and realistic. Will not be going anywhere else, thank you!

I brought my new puppy here and was worried about it being curbside, but the staff kept me updated (even with pictures) and they were so friendly. Also they are super quick to respond to online questions! So glad I chose them for my vet.

I've been coming to this hospital for a few years now, and just wanted to give credit where it's due! My pets and I are very grateful for the services provided here; highly recommend!

Here is a step by step list of my recent interaction with this establishment: 1. Called to make an appointment in January. 2. Scheduled "only available appointment" in April. 3. Called to ask if I could be billed instead of pay on the spot, answer was no. (Honestly, no big deal). 4. Got several texts reminding me about appointment. (Great!) 5. 60 minutes before the appointment I receive the only text informing me that I will not be allowed entry to the establishment and they will be taking my pet from my car. (Umm...) 6. Showed up 15 minutes early and park in one of the two marked spots for the establishment. 7. Followed the directions on the door next to the stop sign saying we can't go in - I called - no response. 8. Veterinarian and tech exit establishment twice to speak with the pet owner in the car next to mine. Neither acknowledged my vehicle or barking dog in the back seat. 9. Waited until appointment time. 10. Nobody answered phone. 11. I make an appointment at a different veterinarian for next week on my phone. 12. I pull out and go home. 13. I get a voicemail from them that says "Unfortunately, we do have a 10 minute late policy, so we will have to reschedule your appointment". ... Okay. Here is the thing. I understand that precautions need to be taken due to COVID. That said, shut down your business if you are unwilling to accommodate vaccinated clients who practice social distancing. This place would charge me between $400-$600 to take my pet in the back for 20-40 minutes. I would not be in the room to discuss concerns with the vet or even witness the services they are claiming to do. Unfortunately for them, I'm not that gullible and my pet, time, and money mean more to me than it does to them. I'll be taking my services elsewhere and I hope you all do too.

Great, straightforward value for the money. Vets are knowledgeable anx willing to talk realistic alternatives and techs are pros.

After moving to this area just a few months ago, our brand new rescue pup was lost in the woods for 4 days. We were desperately searching for a vet to get him checked out when he was found and also to establish care for our other dog. After calling 6-7 other vets offices closer to where we live and being told there were no openings for 2-3 months, Fairfax was able to get us in the NEXT DAY. We planned to make it a one-time visit and establish long-term care closer to our home, but the service they provided was so exceptional and reasonably priced that we will continue to use this vet for our long-term care. On another occasion, we were worried about an infected surgical wound, and they got us in the day-of and checked him out WITHOUT CHARGING US! Most recently, the same dog had to undergo surgery for a retained baby tooth, and although the initial price estimate was around $800 for the extraction and teeth cleaning, only 1-2 of his teeth ended up needing cleaned, so they just took off the ENTIRE cost of the cleaning and we only ended up paying ~400. The vets and vet techs here are exceptionally kind and have really made our lives easy with our two dogs. I am so happy we ended up choosing this office for our boys!

We brought home our puppy in late May and chose FAH because of their puppy vaccination package and the great online reviews; I'm so glad we did! Every time we've been to FAH, we've received stellar service. As a new puppy owner during COVID, it was so important to me to find a vet that will make the experience positive for my little guy since I'm unable to go into the appointment with him - Dr. Paterson and Dr. Erwin have done just that! Yesterday was our last vaccine visit - Dr. Paterson was playing with my little guy in the lobby after his appointment- it was so cute! Afterwards, she came out and gave me an update with next steps/options for other recommended vaccines and answered any questions I had. I really appreciate the time and effort they put into caring for my puppy. We will definitely be back for our routine visits. Thank you FAH!

FFX Animal Hospital is a fantastic vet/boarder. My Charlie went there for the first time for his heartworm treatment (very painful). He did so awesome and they were so good to him. I know this because, I decided to take him there for his next bath and when we went in, he ran around the desk to see the girls and was so happy. I decided to board him there over labor day since I couldn't take him with me. He ran in again and when I picked him up, 5 days later, he ran to me all happy and then continued to interact with the girls who work there. My heart was so full that he didn't act all skiddish etc. I am now using them full time vs my other vet. I loved them as well but FFX is much closer to home. I highly recommend you use them!!!

We love the vets at Fairfax Animal Hospital. They all take time to walking through the appointment and talk you through the diagnosis. Great vet!

I have been taking my animals to Fairfax Animal Hospital for the past 4 years. They do an amazing job! I highly recommend Dr. Erwin and all of their amazing vet techs. They always do a fabulous job answering our questions and treat our kitties like they were their own.
