It’s so hard to find the words to describe how amazing Sandy is! Let’s just say that Sawyer is never sad when he sees the suitcases come out! It is obvious how much they adore each other. When we go away we always know that he is happy and our house is secure. We receive daily updates with pictures of Sawyer during his walks and snuggles. When we return, Sawyer is happy and there’s always a nice stash of treats for both him and us. Sandy's experience as a vet tech is such a bonus. Sawyer is always well groomed when we return from a trip. There have been times when we had to leave him when he was sick and Sandy nursed him back to health and continued to advise us on his care after our return. She is so knowledgeable and compassionate. She always goes above and beyond. Sandy is simply THE BEST! We do not know what we would do without her!

Sandy is the primary caregiver for our cats whenever we have to travel. We used to use a highly regarded kennel and boarding facility, which worked beautifully for us - until - our cat, Rupert, “shut down” during a weeklong stay. Although they went out of their way to care for him until we arrived home, we decided we could no longer board Rupert. We went on a search for an in-home caregiver for our 2 cats. That is when we found Sandy and Alternative Petcare. For several years, 2-3 times a year, she would care for our cats meticulously whenever we needed her. Sandy came to the house twice daily, fed, played with, and provided emotional support for all of us, the cats as well as my husband and me. She would text me whenever she stopped by and send pictures of each cat along with a status of how they were eating and behaving. One of our cats, Cleo, was a CKD cat and required fluids and medicine be given several times a week. As a former Veterinary Technician, Sandy stepped up and gave professional care and was very attuned to changes in Cleo’s behavior which gave us great comfort and reduced our anxiety when leaving our high maintenance cat at home. Sandy was a godsend, and we will ALWAYS go to her for our petcare when needed. I cannot speak highly enough of her abilities, friendliness and professionalism.

Sandy has been my cat sitter for almost two years now, she always does an amazing job. I love the daily photos for visits when I’m out of town, and she’s great with my cat that has special needs. We absolutely love Sandy! We have been with them through 4 dogs, one kid and over 10 years! I cannot say enough about the care she gives every single pup we have had. Sandy was able to tailor the walks to my geriatric black lab and still meet the demands of my goofy Rottie and my very picky Great Pyrenees.....I just can’t say enough about the care she took with them and would absolutely recommend her to anyone with a pup. We are down to one dog now (the great pyr) and we have Sandy give her baths (spa day) and walks. Our pup is so happy after spending time with Sandy. And we are so happy to have Sandy in our lives and our pups lives!

Our sweet Harlie Girl received the very best care from Sandy and everyone at Alternative Pet Care. Sandy always took extra special care of our furry family member. We never had to worry about leaving town last minute or during a busy holiday because Sandy and the top notch care givers at Alternative Pet Care looked after our Harlie with the same care and attention as they give their own pets. There were even little treat bags specific to Harlie’s dietary and health needs there when we returned.

This is probably the best pet care I’ve ever had Sandy goes above and beyond and has medical knowledge so it’s very helpful I don’t know what I would do without her! My two bulldogs are a handful and she handles them like kittens!! She keeps them overnight and will pick them up and they go for a ride and love it as soon as she pulls up they know they’re going to have a vacation!! Can’t say enough about Sandy and alternative pet care!

This service is one of the best I’ve ever used. They take the hassle out of taking your dog to the groomers by coming to your home and picking up and returning your dog when finished. We have 2 dogs and it’s been difficult to find a groomer we like for both of them. One is a shedding nightmare and the other is a golden doodle we always wait too long to groom. Sandy has been wonderful keeping us on a schedule, and coordinating grooming dates so both can be groomed at the same time, plus they do a wonderful job.

It is so comforting to have Sandy help us with our beloved dogs, makes having pets that much more rewarding!

I met Sandy yesterday to get some help with training for my three labs- especially for the Murphy who is the youngest . She came prepared with solutions to my dogs behavior problems. I started to use them right away and can see a difference in behavior. Of course it is up to me to follow through to get the results I am looking for. Sandy was busy getting to know my pack to see where she could help. She gave me a technic on how to leash my over powering pup that has proved to help right away!

We've used APC-MD for all vacations, from a few days to many weeks -national and international, without a worry. Their secret to success is their great LOVE for CREATION.
