Update: he healed from his neutering surgery and his tooth surgery with zero issues. So glad we went here. They adjusted his meds and treatment to accommodate him as a senior dog and tested him for a few minor health issues. We will be back. Everyone was so kind and patient with our dog, Charlie. He gets very anxious at times around vets and new people during check ups. But not with them. They explained the whole surgery (dental and neutering) process and they gave us a quick estimate. Their prices were lower than I expected. Pet insurance friendly. You cant go wrong supporting a black women owned business.

Too care of my really sick dog. Who is not well by no default of theirs. But made him comfortable and very concerned to please. Thanks so much!

Even though they were fully booked and I had never been there before, they made a same day appointment for me when they heard how sick my cat was. I am so very grateful for the compassion of this practice and highly recommend them.

Dr Kinney is great. She took the time to listen to my concerns and offered suggestions. She was very knowledgeable about cat issues. The decor of the office is very calming and clean. The hospital is a bit expensive, that is why I am not giving it 5 stars.

We switched to this vet for our geriatric dogs. The staff are fantastic, the Vets are very good, and the price doesn't make me want to cry.

Took my new puppy Poseidon to Life Companions for his puppy vaccinations. He immediately took to Dr. Kinney and staff. Everyone was super friendly, professional and knowledgeable. His vet tech even called the next day to check on him. I found the prices reasonable, they actually offered to give me an estimate before service, I didn’t need it, but I can see it being useful for others. I would definitely recommend them for your veterinary needs. We will be headed back in a few weeks for more service for sure.

Love this vet. Very thorough and explains things well. This is our vet for our first puppy, so we have tons of questions. Dr. Kinney is very patient and answers all of our questions. We are coming again tomorrow for a follow up appointment! :) Thank you Dr. Kinney and staff!

I initially came here a few weeks ago for an emergency visit. The staff and Vet are very pleasant and welcoming. They examined my pup, ran some test and prescribed meds to get him back to himself. The treatment we received won us over and our family will now use Life Companion for our Vet needs. We returned for a follow up appointment and wellness visit. Again, the staff and Vet are awesome. No pressure to purchase, just recommendations and honest input. If you care about your fur baby and want a place that will make you feel comfortable, this is a great place to bring them. You will be pleased with the service and respect they provide.

10/10, 150%, If I could give 10 stars, I would give 11. I have a particularly difficult dog, who is also a senior, and she was hurt. Every one in the office, from the receptionist, to the tech, to the doctor, were completely understanding, and CARING. They listened to me, and went slow with my fur baby and fit us in under short notice. And they have a military discount. I wish I could have found them sooner! If we ever come back to the area I will drive far and wide just to come to this vet again.

Black-owned vet, HBCU grad doctor, family oriented, respectful, and always feels welcoming. Their staff is amazing! Dr. Kinney answers any questions you have and provides great advice. Her mom works the front desks and is so great. They are not trying to "take your money" and will provide advice over the phone before making you make an appointment. Love them! - Trent and Family.

I am greatful to the vet @ Life Companions and the staff for being able to identify the problem my dog had and prescribing the right meds to fix him, right after he was neutered from another place. This place is clean, staff is friendly, and I really appreciated Ms. Bonita squeezing me in the same day after someone cancelled & the follow up phone call 2 days after our visit to check on my fur baby. Great service!

My wife and I had to bring our Shih Tzu, Maltese mix in to Life Companions due to her having a problem with a lot of body shacking and trembling. From start to finish we were very impressed. The facility was clean outside as well as inside. The entire staff were very respectful and professional. Dr. Kinney gave Nala an exam and as she was doing so she was very caring and took the time to explain to us everything that she was doing. Once finished she explained her diagnosis to us and gave us her recommendations. She was very thorough and made sure that we understood everything. We have decided to make Life Companions our new vet. We would definitely recommend Life Companions Vet to everyone!

We needed to get canine influenza shot for boarding. We’re able get an appointment for 2 days later. Our other vet was 2 weeks. Staff is very nice and professional. Dr Kinney was very attentive to our questions and answered all the questions we had. Highly recommend!

My puppy BOSS started having allergy symptoms a week ago. After leaving a local dog park I noticed one of his eyes was red. That is common with the Old English Bulldog breed. I gave him an antihistamine and used an antibiotic ophthalmic drop to give him some relief from rubbing. One week later with lots of pollen in the air, I noticed he was scratching to the point of blood and sores all over his body. He looked like he has been attacked. It was to the point where he was uncomfortable. The community Benfield Hospital was booked two weeks out. I stumbled upon this local vet hospital with 5 star reviews and was able to get an appointment within the hour. My pup received excellent care. He looks and feels much better. Thank you Dr. Monica Kinney and Staff for the excellent service.

I took my little girl in she was having really bad pains in her sides after a very gentile exam she was given a shot for pain, meds were given and she is all better...extreamly friendly staff , Dr.Kinney D.V.M. very knowledgeable and so kind to my little girl Beya thank's you and your staff Dr. Kinney..

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the staff at Life Companions Veterinary Hospital. Ms. Bonita is a sweetheart. She runs the front desk so well and always polite with her welcoming smile. Dr. McKinney is Awesome! I love that she patiently listens to your concerns and you can tell she cares about your pet. Dr. Kinney’s staff is wonderful as well. I could go on and on but I’ll end with this not only do they have the hospital but the also have grooming services and they’re overall cheaper than PetSmart grooming and Banfield appointments. You can thank me later????

The absolute best. I have never had such a good experience with a vet before coming to Life Companions. They truly care about your pets and provide only the best service. I have a very aggressive cat (when at the vet) and they are able to accommodate her while remaining very positive and professional. In the case of an emergency, you are able to get assistance after hours and they will fit you in for emergency appointments. They also hold themselves to high ethical standards and will tell you not to bring your pets in if they do not feel like it is an emergency situation. I have had lengthy conversations with the vet over the phone that resulted in her not needing to be brought in. The fact that they take the time to speak with you when it doesn't benefit them financially shows that they really care about you and your family. I would give them 10 stars if I could.

I am so pleased with this vet. Got us in last minute on a Saturday for my injured dog. They treated him with such genuine care. He has high anxiety and they were so gentle and loving towards him and extremely comunicative with us. They were prompt and effecient with fair pricing. Made us feel at ease in a stressful situation. Super happy with the experience.

I just visited the new Life Companions, and highly recommend Dr. Kinney and her staff. Our dog Pearl was astonishingly comfortable. Pearl was not nervous or afraid of anything. She lay down on the floor and put her head down, she was so relaxed. Dr. Kinney and her staff are friendly and personable. Everyone there treated Pearl with love. It was a great experience. I could cry tears of joy from the service and all that was able to be done for my pup. Sadly my puppy contracted worms in her tummy from birth. When I saw that her bowels were becoming odd I called immediately. They were able to see her same day!!!! I’m happy to say that Lady is becoming her normal safe. The worms are coming out and she’s eating better. Thank you all so much.
