The staff is so personable and knowledgeable. The veteranarians really love what they do, take the time to explain things and will answer your questions. They may be pricier than other places, but it is worth it, given the personal attention they give all their patients and the good job they've done caring for my pets.

These people are so compassionate. The assistant came out to the car to notify me when they were ready as there were still pandemic guidelines in place. They also understood that I was at the moment, iut of work and they kept costs down by doing only what was necessary, which I certainly appreciated. Great show.

My 17 year old cat Emily developed nasal congestion and drainage on a Sunday. She stopped eating and drinking. I called Bensons Monday am and was given an immediate appointment. She was seen promptly and Dr Benson was kind, knowledgeable, a great diagnostician, and thoughtful in customizing her work up and treatment. Within 6.5 hours of receiving fluids and an injectable antibiotic she started eating and drinking and hanging out on my lap (her usual behavior). Emphasizing the need for follow up by phone for test results and an update signaled to me that Dr Benson and colleagues care about their patients and the results achieved. As a retired general internist/primary care doctor I firmly believe following up with patients is key to good care. I highly recommend Bensons Animal Hospital.

My dog started presenting with ear infection symptoms on a Thursday night, and when I called Benson on Friday morning they were clear about when I should arrive and that I would likely need to wait due to their first-come first-serve policy. We arrived and waited in our car, and got lucky and my dog was seen right away. The veterinary technician and Dr. Benson both came outside (in the FREEZING cold) and answered my questions and were very helpful. I appreciate that this hospital is willing to take emergencies, even if you have to wait.

Caring and loving vets and staff. Reasonable pricing. IMHO, the absolute BEST Vet staff/office in Montgomery County. ????????????

Love Dr.Benson. We had a CCL year on our beloved dog. When looking at different types of surgeries for repair- He took the time to really help us understand options and the best course of action. When our beloved lab had to be out down, it was super hard on my husband. They were so kind and caring and really helped my husband be at peace with the process to make sure he wasn’t in pain. They were incredibly professional. They are a great example of a really caring practice.

Take our 2 cats and dog there for great personal treatment. Not expensive like some other local vets.

We’ve been coming to Benson for 2 years for our two corgis. Drs. Benson, Judice, and Davis are all great. This last visit we saw Dr. Davis and she took great care of our pup, answered my many, many questions, and provided me with great resources. I’m so grateful for their quick response and attention to detail. I also really appreciate that they work together on issues as in our situation. I feel like our pup got the best quality care and they were so patient with me and my many questions and concerns. I really appreciate how they are handling Covid and I love their process of just coming by when you need something, no appointments necessary. Definitely a relief in an urgent situation. Thankfully our pup is on the mend, due to their thoroughness and treatment plan. Thank you!

We have been with Dr B for over 20 years through 10 cats and 1 happy lab. I wouldn't go anywhere else for my pets safety and well being. 2020-make that about 25 years now. ????

Do not come here if you are walking and/or cannot drive there and it is cold outside. Expect a very long wait for them to see your animal. Because of COVID, they are not letting anyone in the building (good!), so you will have to wait outside with your dog. They also do not take appointments (which is fine!) but even if you call ahead, they will make you wait outside because it's "first come, first serve." I called to see if there was a wait, and they told me to come and call when I was outside. ONLY after I walk there do they tell me there will be a long wait. My dog is freezing cold. I myself would have been fine waiting outside because I was in a warm coat, but I'm not going to subject my dog to waiting in the freezing cold because that would be neglectful. And it's pretty insane that an animal hospital would make people keep their dogs outside in the cold for an extended period of time. They told me that no matter what, you will always have to wait for a long time--but they didn't tell me that until after I had arrived by foot for an exam! Again, I don't have an issue with their no appointments policy, I have an issue with them not telling you if there's a wait. For an animal hospital, they're encouraging animals to be in terrible conditions because not everyone has a car. (I do have a car but decided to walk. I would have driven my car if they would have informed me that they will always make you wait and won't tell you ahead of time what the wait is!) Any sensible animal hospital would have changed their policies and started accepting appointments because of COVID not allowing people to wait inside. They also seem to have no modern computer system to keep their records. Even if they do have a system in place, they seem to be very disorganized. Every time you call, you have to be placed on hold for 5 minutes so they can look up your file. Because they don't have appointments, there's no way for them to organize their files so that they have your file ready for your appointment. This obviously isn't as big of a deal as the first part, but it's just an FYI that there's a lot of waiting for them to locate your file. Again, this is not a big deal, but making dogs wait in the cold is! I left before my dog saw the vet, so I cannot comment on the quality of care they provide. But my review stands as it is: a 1-star review for having horrible communication and organization and for an unwillingness to adapt their no-appointments policy for a COVID winter.

My cats have seen both Dr. Davis and Dr. Benson and we liked both of them. The vet techs are very good with anxious cats too which I really appreciate. I also like that they are open Saturday mornings.

My elderly in-laws have an elderly pet, and we’ve had a few visits here lately. Dr. Benson is gentle, thorough, and caring. In what I can best describe as excellent “bedside manner,” Dr. Benson is clear and caring about the health of your beloved pet.

I am not a cliente but when my dog has gotten sick they have helped him. Excellent vetenarian

When it comes to pets people get really sensitive. I know I do. The staff here is always understanding a caring. I wouldn't take my cat to anywhere else.

Been taking my dogs here for over 25 years. All the vets are exceptional - have complete trust in their care of my dogs. The office staff are also top notch - friendly, knowledgable, efficient. Through good times and sad times, Benson Animal Hospital has always given its best.

My wife takes her mothers cats here all the time. They take care of the cats well.

Have been taking our dog and cat here for the past couple of years. Walk-in clinic is convenient and efficient, never much of a wait. We've seen Drs. Benson, Davis, and Juidice, and they've all been caring and good with our animals. They've been helpful in answering my questions and providing guidance about good pet care at home with a nice tone; they've never tried to push expensive or unnecessary treatments or products. Their whole team is nice--we appreciate their care!

Polite staff. Amazing vet. Brought my dog in with a broken tooth. He took her right back, no lectures on needing blood work, exam, ect ect. He truly seemed concerned for my dogs wellbeing and that is hard to find these days. When I picked her up he explained what they did, took time to explain meds for after and was very nice to my 4yr old. I will use them again. Thank you for caring for my pup.

Good doctors, very nice and hard working reception but they are certainly behind on technology. No internet or e-mail use in this office. If they had better tech I would rate them 5 out of 5. Fax is dead people.

Cleanest and most orderly vet practice I have ever visited. We've taken our older coonhound rescue dog to Benson four times over the past two months (1x for shots+exam, 1x for 2nd oral Lyme dose, 1x for shoulder sprain, and 1x for aggression) and have seen Drs. Benson, Lee, and Davis. I don't feel that there was a gap in continuity of care between the docs, given the thorough notes entered for each visit. The office staff are friendly, and the vet assistants are patient with animals, even ones that are stubborn like ours. Also, despite the all-walk-in model, we have never experienced a long wait or feelish rushed through a visit. On the last visit for aggression, the vet agreed that the dog has been challenging for dominance but didn't stretch the boundaries of medical practice or push drugs, instead referring us to a well-respected behaviorist for work with us.

I wouldn't take a pet to this hospital!

Don't be fooled by the "walk-in" status. My beagle got excellent care and the doctor took time to explain the problem and how to treat it. Excellent facility...I totally recommend it to others.

Drs. Benson and staff have helped us with six pets over the course of more than 20 years. Always caring and communicative, and just plain nice people. Highest marks!!
