The staff is so friendly and Mark, the trainer I worked with, is awesome. The private lessons are definitely worth the investment, and I’d recommend their services to anyone that needs dog training or who is looking for a great local pet store.

Count me in as the latest member of the Saúl Cardona fan club. He was the perfect trainer for Gracie, our sweet but very fearful shi-tzu/bichon mix. By being gentle, loving, but also firm with her, Saúl has helped her tremendously in coming to terms with what she used to consider a scary outside world.

I’m new to the area and I guess I got spoiled by really amazing local pet supply stores. The selection is ok but the customer service has been terrible. Everytime I ask a question I get an attitude like they don’t want to be bothered. I like to support small business but they are not making it easy.

We could not be happier with our experience with Saul at the Old Town School for Dogs. Archie, our 11 month golden retriever, is such a great dog, sweet, fun, well behaved and that is because of Saul. He really is a dog whisperer! I now wish we had invested in our other dogs by training them at OTSFD. We have already signed up our second dog, an 8 year old Coton for some time with Saul. I believe in Saul’s magic!

Knowledgeable and friendly staff. Great selection of treats to choose from. Wish they had more collar options for small pups.

Huge store. We bought a nice red jacket for our dog here, and they helped us make sure it fit right.

I have been taking my dog to groom at the Olde Towne School for Dogs for at least a year and a half now - perhaps two - and I can say that they are one of the best groomers in the are! My dog is a former feral from the Caribbean and is by no stretch of the imagination an easy dog to groom, requiring a muzzle and a firm, though gentle hand. Everyone on the grooming team takes particular care to acknowledge and gently get to know my dog, who may not always be happy to be groomed, but loves her grooming family! Jesus, Laura, Sara, Julio, Raul, Jose, Yanette, and Yubi are all fantastic at their jobs and will not let you down! I love the haircuts they give my dog, who is so happy to lose some of that coat in the summer months! Thank you, OTSFD!

We are repeat clients and will refer everyone we know to have their dogs trained at OTSFD – especially by Saul Cardona Luciano. Saul has trained both of our dogs. Our first dog, Josey, is described by Saul as an exceptional (and even magical) dog, but we know he is responsible for making her that way. Our second dog, Cooper, is a high-needs rescue dog that needs a lot of work, and not only did Saul manage to get him trained wonderfully, he is even going above and beyond to make sure that he will be ready for off-leash training later down the road – rearranging his personal life to great lengths! Saul does not only train dogs for a job – he truly enjoys and invests himself completely into his clients (both canine and human alike). There are no written words to describe how exceptional Saul is and OTSFD is very fortunate to have him represent their company.

Great assortment of treats, leashes, toys etc. for dogs. They also provide excellent training service. The staff is very kind and helpful and I cannot recommend this place enough either for dog owners looking for training or just some treats and whatnot for their pets.

Been going to Olde Town School for Dogs for years for pet products and grooming. They have a wonderful staff. My dogs love everyone there because they are so kind to them. When I lost my little black and white spaniel I received a card from them that everyone on staff had signed with a note from each staff member about my dog. I will never forget their thoughtfulness in such a difficult time.

The service was great but the price was ridiculous. $50 for nail clipping for two dogs. Will never return.

We took our puppy to Olde Towne School for Dogs for basic (9 mos old) and off leash (15 mos old) trainings. We were fortunate to get Saul as a trainer. Saul is cheerful, kind and professional to deal with. Our Daisy adored him and was always excited to see him! Her behavior dramatically changed under his guidance. She learned self control and really enjoyed “working” on her walks. Not only did Saul train Daisy, but he taught us how to properly communicate with her. Another trainer we met with before Saul feared that her energetic nature would make her somewhat untrainable. However, after training with Saul, we can take her anywhere knowing she will behave beyond our expectations. It’s all thanks to Saul, our dog whisperer!!

Olde Towne School for dogs is a top notch supplier of quality dog food, treats and toys. They also do basic obedience training. The only downside? Pricey but 1 stop shopping for all things dog

I struggled with deciding to give Olde Towne School for Dogs a five, four or three. I can say my puppy improved in areas and the customer service was great but I can’t say it was worth spending over $2500 to get him where he is by the end. My puppy is a COVID puppy and he is full of energy to say the least. I identified this early on and sought help immediately but I do think I could have done better research. I signed my puppy up for the combo that is the “Puppy Head Start and Day School.” I chose this option knowing my work schedule, even during COVID, and understanding my puppy would not get the repetitive training he needed through the early stages of his life from me alone. However, I regret not going in prepared with the right questions. I basically paid a very heavy sum for my dog to be leash trained and to be introduced to the “place” command. The “place” command is when they identify an area in which you say “place” and your dog will go to that location and cannot move until you say so. While I can admit my puppy is so much easier to walk, I struggle with accepting I payed thousands of dollars for 30 minute session and nothing else. To clarify, after doing the math of what I was charged I dropped just over $55 dollars for per 30 minute sessions for 36 sessions for my dog’s day school. My disappointment is you leave your dog there for 8 plus hours a day and the equipment needed to train the dog is not included on the heavy sum. In the end, I ended up spending another $500 to get the items he needed to train and to get him groomed due to a “misunderstanding.” Go into this understanding if you choose the day school option, you have to pay for the collars needed to train your dog, the different leashes and their food and possibly their treats if the have allergic reactions like my dog. Also understand that despite spending thousands, there is no discount on services in terms of grooming. Also understand you may walk out having to polish your dog more despite what is advertised. My puppy still struggles with long leash walking and the place command, as I was not told how to train him on the place command until his last day. Areas I think that Olde Town School for Dogs could improve in is definitely incentives, but also switching up how they handle day school training and informing pet owners. I was told my dog had been learning the “place” command for the three weeks he had been there but as the owner, I wasn’t practicing this at home bc I wasn’t taught how to and I needed to buy the proper training equipment on my own. Again - I will say this is not the worst training service by any means. But go in there knowing what you’re paying for. For me - my puppy improved but his improvements were not worth $2500 plus.

We brought our dog here for training and were very happy. The people working here care for the dogs and we have used individual employees to help us with our dog outside of normal business hours. We will use them again in the future and I’m quite happy with their service
