Nature's Nibbles Alexandria, Maryland

We lived near Del Ray for years and shopped here. We loved this store and we have never been able to find anything else like it. We especially liked being able to try a small bag of the cat food before buying a big bag. Since our kitty has stomach problems, this is critical for us. Luckily, we are moving back to Alexandria in the near future. We can’t wait to shop here again!

Great natural pet food; they will also deliver to nearby locations

I came here many years ago when I lived in the area. The staff was very friendly and informative about natural dog food and treats. Even though I don't live in the area anymore, I often think about how awesome this place was. Haven't been able to find another place like it to get natural foods for my dog.

My husband and I stopped by yesterday looking for a more natural food for our fur baby. We had a bit of questions for the gentlemen working but he didn’t know every answer. He then told us he would get the owner on the phone to answer any more questions that we had. We talked to Chris for about 20 minutes and we now know so much more about dog food than we did before. Our fur baby loves the new canned food that we brought home. Thank you, Nature’s Nibbles and your great staff/owner!

Amazing staff and owner who are tremendously helpful and knowledgeable.

My dog loves it here and they have a good selection of treats and quality food for pets. My boy Darby has been a long time Fromm fan and they have most of the flavors here for him. The staff have always been friendly, and Darby usually gets a sample or two when he comes along.

Most of the folks who work here are super sweet. Plus, if your animal has an issue with the food, they will allow you to return it. I've had to return food there once before for my picky cat. They have a good selection of high-end pet products at reasonable prices.

Best pet food store ever. The owners and assistants are INCREDIBLY knowledgeable and compassionate. They helped me learn the importance and economical value of higher quality food and answered all of my questions patiently. They will also deliver pet food. Way better than Amazon!

The folks who work here are so knowledgeable and helpful. They helped me pick out a good balance of food for my rescue pup who has a variety of health issues. They also welcomed him in the store. Even better, they offer discounts to teachers and other public servants. This is a great business to support.

As an enlightened dog caretaker, I realize commercial dog food is the equivalent of poison to our furry friends. Nature's nibbles is not just a source of high-quality nutrition, but the owner will talk to you on the phone if he's not in there and answer any question that you have for as long as it takes. I drive from Maryland to get there twice a month and will continue to do so

THE ABSOLUTE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE OF MY LIFE. I would have given this store 5 stars if it weren't for the most insane experience I just had with the woman with the grey hair who is the most entitled piece of work I have ever encountered. I have been a loyal customer for months on months and was just so rudely told to not return to the store because of a return I made WEEKS AGO. When I returned this food the grey haired lady began to ask me why I was returning the food.. I told her it was because ONE of my cats did not eat the food. Then she asks why I'm purchasing the same kind of food I returned and I explained to her my other cat eats this food... she was ALREADY rudely accusing me of abusing a return policy (when this is the only time this occurrence happened when I come to this store every other week) when my cat literally did not eat the food.. therefore, I would like to return it and not pay for something my cat did not eat?!.. Weeks pass and gladly I do not get this woman as the cashier for sometime (her fake enthusiasm will kill you as you enter this store) but today she was there! and as I enter the store I hear her exclaiming my name welcoming me so enthusiastically. I then hear her dial the phone and ask (clearly she called the owner) if they would like to speak with (enter my name here) still as I was browsing the store, talking about my name on the phone with the owner so I can clearly hear her as some kind of intimidation for doing what????? I have no idea! I ask this woman why she is speaking about me on the phone and she just stares at me... literally I had to repeat myself over and over to get a response as to why she is saying my name on the phone with someone. Finally she tells me it was the boss who said as long as I'm not returning something then he doesn't need to speak with me... this is all so weird and unprofessional already! I pay and leave with my stuff to realize this woman took off my 10% discount without telling me before I paid for my cats food. I shortly enter back to ask for a receipt and for this woman's name and she is already on the phone with the owner again. Refusing to hand me a receipt and handing the phone to me to speak with the owner and not the person standing in front of me. Long story short the owner took his crazed employees paranoia over treating his loyal customer with respect. He honestly believed that I was abusing some sort of return policy when I was simply returning cat food my cat didn't eat, and still purchasing a can of the same food for my other cat. I will be sure to spread the word about this terrible treatment of an innocent loyal customer.
