Absolutely amazing. This location is a little out of my way, but the way they took care of my dog is absolutely worth it. My dog was sick for a while and they managed to squeeze him into their busy schedule, after calling other locations that refused, and I'm so grateful! Turned out he had an overgrowth of bacteria in his stomach that was causing his accidents and also a severe skin condition that needed to be tended to. We left with tons of meds and a hefty bill but I'm happy my dog is feeling much better.

Kate at Banfield Richmond is wonderful. I don’t know what I would have done without her! She is well informed on the plans and systems, very professional and patient. She is the best and I am grateful I got hold of her today!

I don't like going there. I tried them because if convenience and how close they are to my home. Nope! I prefer to drive all the way to Duke Street to see a real vet

I gave this place a second chance after they miscommunicated my first scheduled appointment. I should have gone with my gut. I asked for my cats Rx since I couldn't start his insurance plan that day. When I got home, the species said canine. I realize we all make mistakes. But, a doctor. Writing a script. Messes up the SPECIES?! ???? Never going back.

Great care, but not the most organized and mired in COVID nonsense. I will go elsewhere until they return to their senses

Very fast service. The front desk person was really nice. I like that the doctor call and inform me about my Daisey was in good health. Thank You Banfield

I really like this place, staff is super nice... just I don't like it for grooming services like I had my dogs nails cut yesterday and today when I gave him a bath I checked his nails and one nail is super long like I'm surprised they got all the nails but one smh but they usually always mess up when it comes to grooming so just make sure you check your pet before leaving.

I bought my dog in today at 1130 for a rash. I was told that I would get a call in n hr to discuss care. It is now 245. I walked in to see what was going on and was told that no one had even looked at my dog. I normally go to Annapolis and right now I’m re-thinking bring my dog here! So disappointed with the service.

Worst location when it comes customer services. When you call, they put you on hold forever until you give up and hang up. Whoever invented the starts for rating needs to come up with a character for bad places because this place doesn't even deserve one star.

Long story, short: This location is almost impossible to get in contact with, and when you do get ahold of someone they are unresponsive and careless. Long story, long: After a couple years of keeping my pet away from vets due to bad experiences with our last one, I finally decided to pursue a new vet in the area after moving so my pet could get a check-up and updated vaccines. I heard Banfield was great due to their wellness plans, so I decided to give this local Banfield a try. I signed up for a wellness plan and scheduled my first appointment in order to finalize the wellness plan and meet the vet. I was then told about a week later that they were accepting drop-off appointments only, from 8:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. I'm extremely cautious when it comes to COVID, so my frustration wasn't that I had to drop off my pet, but that my appointment wasn't scheduled until 4:30 p.m. - leaving my cat waiting for at least 6 hours. Every time I tried to call back to ask additional questions, the phone didn't ring at all and went straight to a full voicemail box. I was finally able to hunt down their email address, which wasn't listed on the website anywhere, but on their Instagram page. I then asked for additional clarity on what to expect upon drop-off and additional context on how my pet would be cared for, and was told she would be seen "in between other pets" and that I would be sent a questionnaire that the vet would refer to. My preference will always be that my pet has a dedicated time with the vet, not only so I can schedule and plan accordingly with my full-time job, but so I can feel comfortable that she's getting the vet's undivided, non-rushed attention. I asked additional questions about how that works, as well as questions about how first-time paperwork and finalizing the wellness plan would work virtually, and they never replied to that email or any emails after that. Their phone continued to go straight to voicemail. Less than 24 hours out of my appointment date, I still hadn't gotten the aforementioned questionnaire. Short of going and talking to someone in person, which is clearly not safe or allowed, there seemed to be no way to get answers or feel comfortable with entrusting my pet with their care. When the website wouldn't load so I could cancel the appointment online (another red flag for Banfield), I sent two final emails canceling my appointment, which they also never responded to and evidently didn't even read, because I then got two calls the day of the canceled appointment inquiring about appointment confirmation and then asking about rescheduling once I "missed the appointment." I will not be rescheduling, which I was finally able to tell someone over the phone after calling the PetSmart store and then being transferred to Banfield, and was met with an emotionless, like-I-care "...ok?" My trust issues with vet offices clearly continue on, thanks to this staff's complete lack of customer service.

Poor communication between staff members, and staff and clients led me take my pet back home. She needed treatment, but I no longer had faith they would provide what we discussed. I was very disappointed.

I went in today to try to get my dog seen since he wasn't doing so good, Cleya the receptionist was really helpful and nice. She asked the Vet if it was possible to be seen since they were busy. I was able get my fur baby all taking care off. Dr. Gelatt is excellent at her job she went over everything that my fur baby needed and took her time explaining everything. I had my doubts in taking my dog back to Banfield since I had a bad experience in another location but this place is awesome. Im definitely having my fur baby with Banfield. Thank you ????

I have been trying to call all morning and unfortunately no one is answering the phone. Not a good feeling when you have medical Concerns about your puppy. I think it’s time to switch to another provider because too many unhappy and unprofessional experiences.

They are so accommodating even w/ COVID precautions limiting "in-person" visits. Thank you again Front Desk team, Techs and Dr. Dawson!

I like the location and the staffs are always nice. However, lately I've been noticed that they were getting a lot of new patients (which is good for their business) and it's hard to book an appointment. If they are overbooked due to increase of patients, they should get more veterinarians to provide a service. I shouldn't be waiting for 3 weeks to get my pet to see a doctor for a quick exam.

This location has been great. I couldn't find a way to rate the wellness plan people. I started the plan in November 2018 my pet has been to the vet 4 times each one I paid money out of my pocket the 4th visit was to euthanize my dog. I called to cancel the plan and they want me to pay an additional 300 to get out of the plan. I just paid 479 in 1 week for their services. I think this is outrageous I'm not trying to cancel my plan because I dont eant the services anymore my pet I'm canceling for has died.
