Our cat had been showing some concerning symptoms and refused to eat for a few days. We called multiple vet clinics in the area, even emergency places. None were accommodating walk-in patients and the soonest appointment offered was over a month out. Lake Region offered to get our cat in the same day. They were upfront about testing costs and took steps to ensure that more costly steps could be avoided. He got a fluid shot and nausea meds at the office and by the time we got home he was already stuffing his little face with food. I can't say enough positive things about these people.

People have got to be faking these comments. Yeah the staff is nice but $100 as you walk through the door. Only vet in Windham that absolutely refuses payment plans unless it's care credit. Not financially friendly that's for sure. Over priced and maybe 3 people that know what they're doing. Frustrating af.

Horrible! Would not recommend. The Owner / Vet Andrine Belliveau is more concerned with making profit than building relationships with clients and pets. Beware! They will try to convince (sell to) you to buy tests and preventative medication for your pet that you don’t necessarily need (be sure to ask questions and decline what is not neccesary that they are just selling to you) and be prepared - they will keep you waiting for 20 minutes in a private room just to take your pet around back for a 5 minute check up and charge you $95 minimum per visit. They say it is a state law requirement to check the pet but why then are they only taking 5-10 minutes to check them? Just to meet the requirement and charge you for the visit? Seems like more time would be necessary in order to fully meet that legal requirement... Disappointing and low quality care! The vet tech in training didn’t even know what causes heart worms! And they charge for masks!!! Who does that? All businesses pay for their own masks if they require them at this stage of the pandemic. After requesting that the owner (Belliveau) give a call back regarding financial limitations (I’ve spent over $500 at the clinic since April), rather than reviewing the years of medical records of the dog who needed a simple dose of prednisone for his seasonal allergy relief, the Owner Belliveau / Leah at the front desk sends an email saying they will no longer see my pets at their clinic. These folks don’t care about your pets unless they can make a buck! Definitely do not recommend.

The vets? Amazing? The vet tech? Even better! The receptionists? Thought they knew more about our own cat than we did. My cat is a VERY good boy and has experience with dogs though we do not personally own one. We noticed that the vet SEEMED very dog-centric which is fine and meant absolutely nothing to us until the very end. We only saw one room but they seemed to be very good with my cat which is great. The vet said he was extremely well behaved the whole time even when she was taking ear mites out… we just rescued him so he has some small issues like that. We had him on a harness that I have put through a series of tests to see if he can get out of it because he actually likes his harness but hates cages. On the other hand my OTHER cat did not make it to his vet appointment that day because he NEEDS to be caged but absolutely would not let me cage him because again these cats have a history of abuse by their old owners. When we brought him out after his appointment to check out there was a dog being weighed who freaked out when he saw my cat and my cat did not even budge… so we went back into the room and waited for the dog to get done being weighed. These may be our first pets but I grew up on a farm, helped volunteer at local animal shelters, and trained/raised every animal from rats to horses. On our way out they said “do you want a cat carrier? We have them here” and I thought that was kind of her to suggested but I said no we’re okay but I thanked her. She then proceeded to suggest it a few more times then suggest that she was nervous he was going to run away into the road because it’s happened before but I assured her it wouldn’t happen… I’ve given this guy baths before without any harness involved and he didn’t manage to slip away then. The other receptionist then got a call from another pet owner and told her “we have a cat that’s NOT in a crate I don’t know if you feel comfortable taking your dog in” and she asked us if he had experience with dogs and we hesitated because again we don’t personally own but we assured her that he is fine. I’m not sure exactly what she said to the person but the person decided to wait. My partner than said “I don’t think he had a problem with dogs I think dogs have a problem with him” and the receptionist laughed. I felt a little defensive at this point and said “Thank you but I know what I’m doing” I completely understand that they’re just trying to keep every animal safe but my well trained well behaved cat shouldn’t have to pay because someone else doesn’t want to properly train their dog. The whole experience was awesome but that end part really left a very sour taste in our mouths.

I had a very genuine and heartfelt experience with Lake region animal hospital. My cat died unexpectedly as we were on our way to the vet, they took her right in and did everything they could. I thought for sure I would be hit with a large bill for the services but was only charged a small ER visit. They knew we were upset and were very sympathetic towards our loss. A week later we received a very nice card with the staff's condolences for our cat Porkchop. I'll definitely be taking my animals here from now on as they are very passionate about what they do. Thank you Lake Region animal hospital!

I highly recommend Lake region veterinarian hospital. They were so compassionate toward us in a very difficult time. Our 15 year old cat was treated with the up most professionalism. They were able to diagnose and were very honest and trustworthy. Thank you all for making this extremely difficult time much more comforting not only for us but most of all our 15 year old cat named Lily. I will always come to you from now on, as well as tell everyone about you. Again thank you so much.

I called on a SAT an hour before they closed. Our Doxie was very sick. They saw her. They stayed an hour late to do so. She is now feeling much better. We are so impressed with this practice. Thank you LRAH.

Not only did they drop my puppy, terrifying her, they have ZERO heart for animals. Its all about money. In the middle of an emergency while another pet was dying they took time to ask if we wanted to pay for extra shots my dogs has already been given. Unorganized and unprofessional at its best!! Oh and absolutely rude as ever!! If ya ain't givin em money they dont care about ya!!!

We love the folks up at L.R.A.H!! Our doggy gets SEVERELY stressed out every time we have to take her to be seen at the vet, to the point that we have to medicate her! Their amazing team knows all of the best ways to handle the stressful situation without making her more anxious!! There's no doubt these guys are true professionals and absolutely love and care for every animal ❤

We were visiting in the area and 3 hours away from our own vet. Our 16-year-old cat's chronic renal failure suddenly took a turn for the worse and after calling my own vet to get advice, we took our beloved cat to LRAH to be euthanized. The folks there were sympathetic and responsive from the first moment of my phone call. Just to get a second opinion we asked Dr. Seavey to examine the cat. She gave us all the same info that our own vet did and we opted to go ahead and euthanize. She assured us that although there were options to continue the cat's life (daily IV fluids) for the short term, that putting her down was a "loving decision." She gave us every detail of how it was going to work and involved us every step of the way. I can't say enough good things about their professionalism and kindness there.
