Great place, great customer service, and most importantly I trust my dogs wellbeing when he is a patient there.

Wonderful vets that care and treat your pet like it's their own! We've been going here for 12 years and it has been an amazing experience!

Made my daughter wait in parking lot for hours (we were out of town)and lost the crate we brought our cat in (found it after a couple of days. That wanted $3,000 to fix him and ended up putting him down. It was a awful experience!

Very friendly staff who genuinely care about every animal that comes through the door. We've used them for many years for our cats and have always been pleased.

I have been a client of the Scarborough Animal Hospital for years. Dr. Gagner is wonderful and has always been so amazing and professional. She knows how anxious I am and I have never left her office without having my many questions answered and without feeling confident with her treatment options and diagnosis. She also is so sweet with my cats!

Dr. Ford, not only always nice, but always gentle and kind with my buns. He allows me to come in every single time I’m in despair with my buns or even a wild mouse that walked up to me severely injured that I took to him. Supreme bedside manner, takes the time to explain everything in understandable language, and answers any and all questions best he can. If he doesn’t know the answer he finds out. Excellent vet. I’ve only met a few, but front office staff and technicians all seem very nice and knowledgeable. I’ve talked to his wife Amy a few times, she is the practice manager. Again, another person always nice and caring. Would not hesitate 1 iota to bring my furry family here. My Dulcinea, Midnight and Gabriel would agree with me if they could speak! A few of my bun friends go here too, to see Dr. Ford. We all love him.

Appears to be a busy practice. The parking lot was packed! My other vet office closed and I was in search of a new vet for my chinchillas. They live the dream and no expense is spared. Even with Covid protocol of staying in my car while my chins went in for the appointment I was made to feel very welcome. My appointment call lasted 21 minutes! And for two chins and meds it was about the same as a oil change. When one door closes ( our old vet practice) another one opens ( our new vet office) really was a blessing in disguise.

They are always friendly and easy to understand when providing what care is needed for my dog King!! Thank you!

I brought my 11 month old Holland lop to get spayed last week. Of note, I recently have had a foster bun neutered at another vet in the Scarborough area which I won’t disclose the name. The two experiences where night and day. I felt very comfortable bringing my Annabelle in for this surgery. They offered a service for fluids, anti emetic, and a packet full of rabbit information which I was pleased to pay for ! Dr. Ford called me promptly to chat with me post op.. he gave me details of her surgery talked about her exam and left time to listen to my questions. He didn’t rush me and made me feel like he sincerely cared. They use an extended release pain med so I don’t have to give her medicine via syringe ( amazing ), she came home perky and interested in snacks, she is recovering well! In brief the experience I had at another vet in the Scarborough area was abrasive, I had to syringe feed the bun for 8 hours, I had to give him pain meds via syringe, the vet didn’t call me, he was lethargic and very slow to perk up, I felt rushed and very unsettled.. In conclusion, I would recommend Dr. Ford and his team to anyone! I had a 10/10 great experience !

First time visit. I appreciate the separate entries for cats and dogs. They have a good COVID process on place. The doctor spent the time to explain our cat's issues to us. He took a cautious approach, asking us a lot of questions. I appreciated the attention to detail.

I love this place because the staff was great and courteous and even though it was a bad situation with the covid-19 and not being able to go in with your pet is the worst situation ever but they kept me informed and made me feel like I was they're very friendly and courteous

I recently brought my bunny, Pip, in to have his nails trimmed and to establish a relationship for future care. I am so glad I did. The staff is wonderful. I had some concerns the day after Pip's appointment and I called to talk with them and ask some questions. Their compassion, honesty, knowledge, and commitment to care was immediately made abundantly clear. I am so thankful for their kindness and follow through, and if/when Pip needs medical attention in the future I feel I have now found a place where I am confident he will receive compassionate, quality care.

Dr. Ford is my go to for my rabbit and my cat (I drive an hour just for him)! The staff at the Scarborough Animal Hospital are responsive and caring. I feel very comfortable bringing my pets there for all their health needs.

I cannot believe after visiting this practice for 7 years that I was immediately dropped as a patient for questioning if I could join my dog for a vet appointment. When I made the appointment, I was encouraged to state my frustrations to the office manager in an email. I did so, very respectfully and with the understanding that everyone is doing the best that they can. The office manager, Amy Ford, Dr. Ford's wife and owner of the practice, responded not with clarification of the Covid policies, not with accommodations to ease my concerns but adhere to Covid restrictions, and certainly not with a sense of caring for my pet. Amy Ford canceled my appointment with no notice. The appointment I made because my dog is in pain and experiencing discomfort. There are plenty of veterinary options in Southern Maine. I encourage all pet owners to seek veterinary services elsewhere.

Absolutely love this place. Very accommodating, reasonable prices, great veterinarians and office staff. I’ve taken animals to offices all over the US and love how caring and accommodating they are.

Great dr's and always friendly service. I've been taking my dog here for years and always felt like he gets great care here.

I would give 5 stars if they were able to do more diagnostics such as ultra sounds. The staff and Dr.s are all professional and compassionate. Great day to day vet, but if your pet gets very sick you'll likely need to take them elsewhere.

This isn’t about the vets because we didn’t even see them. This 5 stars is because Cheri was the only one from here to Massachusetts willing to even try to help me Puppy Bella! That speaks volumes about her compassion and character. Thank you for being so kind in our time of concern. We appreciate you.
