My dog (Olive) went to another trainer before Y-Farms and didn’t even know how to sit. After I sent my pup to Y-farms she has been the most obedient dog (sit heel and here) I have ever experienced. If you want an obedient puppy you MUST send your dog here. Seriously this dog comes back no matter what! Request a video if you are uncertain. Y-Farms is the real deal.

We got our first lab (Dixie) from Y-farms in 2008. She just turned 12. At the beginning of March, we made the trek to Zachary to get our Dixie a playmate (Josie). Both of our girls are amazing and the result of outstanding breeding! Can’t say enough about Y-farms excellence!

We got our pup from Y-Farm Kennels and I cannot recommend them enough. My spouse and I often wish we lived closer so we could utilize the boarding services offered. Great family company!

Great place, our 2 pups seemed to really enjoy a 10 day stay. Staff is fantastic, they do a wonderful job with all their "guests"!

Y-Farms is the best place I've found to keep our dogs. They have a very friendly staff, and an extremely clean facility. I never have to worry about our dogs while they are there. They are given more attention than any other place I've been too. Every time we pick them up, they are freshly bathed, and don't want to leave!!

Last August, our family suffered the loss of our 16 year old chocolate lab. Once we decided we were ready to open our hearts to a new puppy, I began researching for quality breeders in southern Louisiana. I came across Y-Farms and Kennels on the AKC website and was immediately impressed with the family owned kennel. Luckily for me, a litter of chocolate pups was to arrive at Thanksgiving and deposits were being accepted. Jennifer was quick to respond to my inquiry. She was professional, took time to answer all of my questions and provided me with links to videos of previous litters as well as blood line information and health records. Once the puppies arrived, she sent weekly photos and videos to keep us updated on Opsie and her puppies. Opsie was blessed with 8 puppies, all healthy and adorable! It was difficult to select our puppy from the 5 females, as one was just as sweet as the others. It was obvious to us the puppies were very well taken care of and that Jennifer loves what she does. When “Stella” was old enough to leave the kennel we brought her to our vet to be checked. Dr. Leslie gave her a thorough exam and was pleased with how healthy she was. Stella is now 5 months old now. She is very smart, loves to play and is an excellent addition to our family. I highly recommend Jennifer and her staff at Y-Farms and Kennel.

My wife and I had a very wild lab puppy with a lot of attitude. We dropped Addie off for puppy training and when we picked her up, she was a totally different dog. She learned basic commands and how to listen. Furthermore, she behaved better with our small dog at home. Jen did an excellent job training Addie and really took care of her. We can't recommend Y-Farms enough. We look forward to boarding our dogs at Y-Farms in the future!

They are awesome. My dog used to have to take anxiety medicine when I left her. But at Y Farm Kennels, it's like doggie camp. She loves it and no more medicine!

Y-Farms is absolutely the best place to board your dogs! They have a nice, clean facility with lots of covered play areas for your dogs! We love Jenn and Y-Farms!!

Y-Farms is the best! Our pup Milo loves going. We live out in the country so leaving him cooped up in a kennel when we are away is not an option. At Y-Farms he gets tons of outside playtime & socialization. They consider the needs of each specific animal. Everyone is so attentive & caring. They took special care of our previous Jack Russell Bart when he was a crippled Sr. dog. Going so far as to wrap him in a blanket and keep him in the house some nights. It takes special people to care for your fur babbies that way....

We recently bred our female lab for the 2nd time with Jen’s champion Miles. The first litter turned out to be very smart and beautiful puppies. We have also boarded all of our dogs with them for the past 6 years. I would not trust anyone else with my babies. They treat them as their own. We have also experienced the fantastic duck hunting training with our lab. She is very Obedient and has retrieved hundreds of ducks, thanks to Jen and her family and team at Y-Farms. We love them like family!

When we first got our dog Josie she was six months old and she was a big mess! She chewed on furniture, had separation anxiety, pulled on leash, skittish, and we now think abused by the breeder. Josie did not know any commands and barely knew her name. Jen is a dog whisperer. With Jen's training, Josie knows how to kennel up, she has stopped her chewing, is perfectly fine alone in the yard, and is now comfortable being on leash. Jen is the only person I trust with Josie when I am away with my family. Josie loves being at Y farms, and I will continue to send her to Y farms for the rest of her life. I thank Jen and all the wonderful things she and Y Farms have done for our Josie. Josie is still a work in progress with some commands but she is still a puppy, and with Jen's guidance, we will get there.

After adopting an adult boxer we found she had aggression and anxiety issues even with family that came to visit. We left her with Jenny periodically and she began gradually to enjoy and integrate with people and the other dogs. Jenny is a "dog whisperer" who understands how their minds process things and is able to help and train them. Thanks Jen.

We boarded our two dogs, a geriatric rat terrier and an energetic lab mix puppy, at Y Farms while we closed on our house. They provided excellent care, attention, and exercise for our dogs. The dogs were very happy to stay there and we will absolutely board with them again.

We bought our lab from Jen all most 2 years ago and only board at Y-Farm Kennels. We never have to worry about her. Our lab gets plenty of outdoor time and socialization. Our lab loves going there. We would not board her anywhere else.

My dogs have been staying with Jennifer for 6 years now. They love going and get excited when we turn onto her driveway. The kennels are clean and dogs are exercised and get plenty of time to play. So much better than being stuck in a small kennel and allowed a potty break twice a day. I have an older small dog who requires daily medicine that they treat like part of their family and is allowed inside because she is spoiled. I also have a Great Dane who gets to play with other dogs and has been socialized thanks to Jen's training. I get updates and pictures which I really enjoy. I trusted Jennifer and her expertise to buy one of her labs for my son. He is still a puppy, but such a sweet loving dog. He will be visiting very soon for some obedience training and hopefully duck training! She and her crew take good care of my dogs while we are away. She is always willing to accommodate any special needs or pick up times, just give her a text!

We've been using Jennifer and Y-Farms Kennels for over three years for our lab. He stays many weekends and at least two weeks a year and we have always been very pleased. He gets excited when we turn into the driveway and he jumps out of the car and heads straight for the playground where the dogs' pool is! We love that he gets lots of time outside especially when we are gone for long periods of time. Thank you Jennifer and Y-Farms staff for taking good care of our baby!

We have used Y Farms for a few years now and are very pleased with them. We own a Belgian Malinois which is a difficult breed for the average person. They always take excellent care of him and I would recommend and have recently recommended them to other people. I would also like to thank them for the wonderful job they do with him.

My boy has been staying with Jennifer for years. He is an absolute handful and escape artist. They take great care of him and he actually seems to enjoy going. Their hours are so flexible and she has always been there 24/7 when we need them. Our dogs have spent countless days there with no issues at all. The Farm stays in clean great condition inspite of them being severely flooded this past summer. She updates me by text and sends a pic when we are gone to let us know he is OK. He comes home bathed and smelling wonderful. Thanks Jen/Brad for taking care of Marco!!

My dog has stayed at Y Farms many many times over the past 2 plus years. Jennifer and her crew LOVE the dogs like they are their own. The prices are very reasonable and you have piece of mind knowing that your pet is being taken care of by people who care about them as much as you do!!!!

Perfect day of training with my awesome lab I got and had trained at Y-Farm Kennels. My Jr. at one year old is 80lbs of solid hunter with sweet family disposition. Super clean concrete kennels with lots of rest, recreation and aqua areas for playtime. Without a doubt my next pup will be a Y-Farms bred and trained lab. I have a very strange Grea Dane - as a puppy she became very aggressive. Jennifer trained her and gave us a new dog. This dog enjoys going to her kennel. She spends time with my dogs and knows all their oddities. (She has had to deal 6 different ones of multiple breeds.) I know they will be taken good care of during their stay. I had one that had to be taken to my vet for something unrelated to her stay. She took the dog and kept me informed throughout the evaluation/ treatment. It is obvious that the dogs are very important to her. I had them boarded when her home flooded during the great flood this summer. Despite all her personal trauma she made sure the dogs were moved and well taken care of during a once in a lifetime event - still not sure how she managed to move my Dane that is scared of water and weather. I have used this kennel for over 5 years and have no reservations recommending it to friends.

We have used Y Farms since our dog was a puppy (2 yrs). She loves "going to the farm". We love the care and attention she receives while boarding there. It is clean, well kept and we like that the "playground" is grouped by size and temperment as our dog is afraid of larger dogs.
