NEGATIVE 10 stars!!! I was required through Slidell Animal Control to prepay for a rabies vaccine, which I did with this office, for a puppy that I had. However, Hurricane Ida came and I rehomed the puppy before I could get her in for the vaccine. The puppy is now living across the lake and up to date on all vaccines. This vet’s office has a $58 dollar credit on my account for a dog that I NO LONGER have and REFUSE to let me use it for any of my other dogs. I feel like all the office manager cares about is the next dollar, she sure doesn’t care about the people or their animals that are being brought in.

These folks are always busy because they are so amazing, but they will find a way to squeeze you in. The vets are SOOOO friendly and caring. They answer questions and offer suggestions without making you feel bad about not knowing. They took great care of both of my kitties. Be ready for a hectic waiting room but that’s because everybody wants to bring their pets here!

Dr Firmin and staff are EXCELLENT! My babies were patients of another vet clinic for 20 years but switched to Slidell Vet when all three vets at previous clinic failed - for about 6 months!-to clear up a nasty infection in my 12 year old German Shepherd. Dr Firmin came to my home in the mobile office because it was difficult for my girl to get in and out of car. He took her to their clinic and cleared up the infection in 2 days! They are awesome!!!! I would recommend them to any and everyone!

As per your Google listing, you are open on Memorial Day. I called, was NOT told I was being rolled over to the emergency vet. Made an appointment and got a cat with a severely broken leg into my car and made her suffer only to find out you are actually closed. 8 levels of unprofessionalism. I remembered why I don't go to this vet anymore.

Really feel like they are there for my pet whenever I need them. I’ve had 2 emergent type situations so far. With the first, they were the only vet here, that agreed to see my dog, as I previously was taking her to one out of town. So, I changed to them, here in town. With the second situation, they were comforting, & got her in as quickly as they could. I appreciate them very much & always spread the word!

They have taken great care of our dogs for 19 years. I cannot think of a higher praise.
