I got cancelled on two times. Like why make appointments you can’t keep?

Our visit to the veterinarian was welcoming and my little papitese received exceptional care. I recommend this facility to all dog owners! ????

My puppy king Simba was not feeling well they got him bac eating and feeling so much better they were fast wit appointment time and service I'm from the west bank but me n my fur baby will keep coming there thanks doc Michelle and her tech see y'all soon

If you dont get the 10$ monthly plan it's not worth it. Overpriced, and pricing not up front and confusing. I've gotten better deals elsewhere. Came back for booster and got slapped with $45, after already charged for the original vaccine.

DONT COME HERE IF YOU HAVE A CAT! Won't tell how much or what they'll do on the phone so had to get appointment and show up. They take care dogs immediately and get more dogs in while im waiting there with appointment. Its not even easy for a cat to be in the car ride anyways. And then telling me they can do XRAY for my pregnant cat for 200. Who tf xrays an pregnant animal to see if kitties are ok. NOT COMING AGAIN! wasted my time and put my pet understress for no reason.

I brought my cat in because I thought she had a UTI (it turned out she had cystitis). It’s a very clean and professional place! The front desk staff and assistants were so friendly and knowledgable, and Dr. Stanton was really efficient and helpful. Thankfully we were able to nail down and resolve the problem pretty quickly, and the best part? It cost me about half what I would have expected to pay at most animal hospitals. As a recent college grad, that’s such a relief. It’s also great that they’re right at petco, so if there’s anything you need to buy per the vets’ recommendation, it’s probably right there! 10/10 recommend!

Customer Service SUCKS! They hv no no regard for the patients time.

The team her is absolutely amazing. They always make sure my dog is great. Cost for all appointments we had have been below the area cost. Get the Throve plus. It is worth it. Thanks again. Will never bring Beau anywhere else.

This review is not pertaining to Dr. Michelle; she is professional and I believe her care to be top notch. This review is for Thrive Affordable Pet Care which I feel is NOT top notch. My experience with Dr. Michelle has been great, but the experience of calling to make appointments at a call center that I assume is not in Nola, is awful. No one seems enthusiastic or eager to help you on the phone and each time I call, I'm reminded that the people answering the phone don't know anything about New Orleans, the actual vet clinic, the vets, and certainly nothing about the clients and their pets. The real reason for my one star review is that I called to put in a message and a request for a call back from Dr. Michelle due to a possible injury my dog sustained. I only wanted her input on coordinating his annual vaccine appointment with a physical examination of his leg -- this would mean giving him his annual vaccines three weeks early and I wanted Dr. Michelle's guidance and input. Sherie (spelling?) on the phone told me that because my dog saw Dr. Michelle last year (for his annuals in May 2020) that she would not put my message through and Dr. Michelle would not call me back to speak to me -- that I would ONLY have a chance to speak to her at a scheduled appointment. I told Sherie that's ultimately what I wanted to do and I tried to explain again why I wanted Dr. Michelle's guidance before booking. Sherie reiterated in a very sterile tone that I had no option to speak to the vet or to receive a call back from her. This is absolutely unacceptable for a vet clinic anywhere, but especially here in New Orleans. I am very confident if Dr. Michelle knew one of her clients was trying to reach her, she'd return the call. I will be establishing care for my dog at a true local clinic here in Nola where I have the ability to speak to his vet if I request it, rather than being forced deal with someone in a call center in God knows where who obviously doesn't understand the client/vet relationship or how we treat others in Nola.

Went somewhere else and it was the first time my dog didn't come out shaking....what on earth did you guys do to my dog!!!!! Rude ladies who work there...not professional.Dont waste your time here.

Just out for the money. They don't care about your fur babies.

Everyone was very nice and helpful; the vet explained everything clearly and answered all my questions.

Very informative regarding why to spay and potential health issues that can arise from choosing not to.

I have had a great experience with Dr. Michelle. She is very thorough and knowledgeable.

Dr. Stanton and the entire Thrive staff were all professional and helpful. They got an apt set for my very sick kitty quickly, ran the needed test and sent us home with the medicine we needed. Even on a Saturday, I was called back with radiologist results. Given the nature of my kitties infection, the bill did get a little higher than what we wanted to pay, but it was worth it. Thank you Dr. Stanton and Thrive!

I am so thankful for the entire THRIVE team and the great care they provide! After I adopted two cats who had received no prior veterinary care, we established with Dr. Michelle. She is kind, very thorough, and genuinely loves my cats! She and her staff did a great job communicating all their recommendations, and they were able to quickly get my kitties up to speed and healthy - with important testing, vaccines, and prevention medicines. They were amazing with both of my kitties after their spay/neuter. I really feel like Dr. Michelle and all the employees at this clinic went above and beyond on spay/neuter day, and I am so thankful. Will definitely be clients for life!

Would never bring my pets back to this place. To say this is afforable pet care is laughable. You're always charged something additional. The vet Michelle Stafford was very disrespectful and threatened additional charges when questioned about my bill. Would definitely not recommend this place.

A few weeks ago while playing fetch, Marge, my 11 year old earth angel started limping and needed help getting back into the house because she was unable to bear weight through her left hindquarters. I called Southern Animal the next morning but they were booked solid, short staffed due to Covid-19. I called over to Thrive and they were able to squeeze my sweet baby Marge the dog in to see the Vet. Without wasting money on costly X-rays or unnecessary procedures they explained to me that she had in all likely hood, because it's common with the breed, torn her cruciate ligament (torn acl). They sent me home with some literature and some pain meds and explained various non-surgical options to me in a clear and courteous way which I appreciated very much. They really had their Covid-19 protocol down also which was great to see. I would definitely recommend the very kind and patient folks at THRIVE for you affordable pet care needs

I recently switched to Thrive to follow my favorite vet, Dr. Michelle Hodgson, when she moved over there. She’s been my vet for my 2 dogs for a couple years and she is by far my favorite vet I’ve ever had in my 20 years of being a dog mom. She’s so kind and loving to my pups and always quick to respond to any questions I have. I’m one of those dog moms that panics anytime my dogs have anything abnormal and Dr. Michelle is always there for me. Thrive also has a great loyalty program that offers discounts at a very low monthly cost. I highly recommend signing up for it. Dr. Michelle is a vet who truly cares and takes her time to explain everything. I never feel rushed. And my dogs absolutely love her. I highly recommend Thrive and Dr. Michelle.

This location had me change my dogs flea medication from Bravecto to Simparica and my dog had an allergic reaction to the different medicines. They argued with me that there was no way it was the medication and that we should continue to come back for check ups and other medications (I spent over 600 dollars in a month with just random tests and medications) They INSISTED since the two medications had the same ACTIVE ingredient that there was no way it was the flea meds. My dog had literally chewed entire spots of hair away, had open sores on her belly and red spots everywhere. I purchased a brand new, unopened box of 6 months worth of flea medication prior, but decided I wouldn’t give it to her to see, to see on my own is that was the issue. It was. Her fur has grown back entirely and she doesn’t have a single sore or itchy spot, but when I tried to tell them that they fought me and refused to let me return 120 dollars worth of unopened medication. When they finally did they would only give me a CLINIC CREDIT, which right now during the pandemic, is NOT HELPFUL. I will not be coming back to this vet after this fiasco and don’t recommend them. I will be driving the 30 minutes back out to Slidell to receive the care both me and my pooch deserve.
