Long story short, they are unprofessional, unorganized, and will attempt to do damage control after you speak up for your dog. Staff members gave me conflicting information about boarding availiblity and discriminated against my dog because of her separation anxiety. After I filled out their online intake application, one of the employees called me and said my dog's barking/crying (due to her separation anxiety) will "annoy the workers." Dogs make noise. If you cannot handle that, you should NOT be working with animals at all.

I usually don't write reviews but I have to say that out of the three boarding places I have taken my dog, Winston, I have enjoyed Mid City the most. It's always refreshing to know that the people that work here truly care about your dog. These people at Mid City do!! I am most comfortable taking my dog here and look forward to future boarding visits!

I take my dog here for daycare a few days a week and he is always *so* excited to go. While normally timid around other people, he wags his tail and eagerly rushes in when we arrive. When I pick him up, he's relaxed and clearly well-exercised. Mid City Animal House has multiple enclosures for dogs of different sizes and energy levels. Their staff are friendly, responsive, and clearly care about the animals. I'm really grateful to have found this business and I think my dog is too! Be sure to make reservations for daycare or boarding well in advance of holiday weekends. There are packages available for 10 or 20 visits for an overall discount.

We came from out of town and had our baby in doggy daycare for the day. It was her first time ever and she seemed to enjoy it. She was happy and tired when we came to pick her back up.

Our chiweenie rescue dog can be funny at dog day care. She either warms up immediately to one dog and makes friends, or she gets intimidated and tries to hide from all of them. The caretaker (how could I forget her name?!?) noticed Bonnie's discomfort, and she let Bonnie stay in the office with her. Bonnie was so pleased! She even wagged her tail and put her front feet up on the caretaker when we started to leave with her. Dogs don't lie. Bonnie felt loved and comfortable there. MANY thanks for keeping our dog comfortable and happy!

Finally found a spot in our neighborhood that takes care of our dog the way we would. Love the staff. Reasonably priced.

If I could give no stars I would. Our Duke stayed 3 nights in October of 2020. When we got home he had a horrible cough and it turned out he caught kennel cough while staying there even after having the vaccine to prevent it. We called Mid City Animal House and told them about Duke having kennel cough after he got home and is now on antibiotics and coughing pills. They said without a beat that they have received many reports of this in their area. Well, if you have received reports prior to us bringing our dog to you why didn't you inform us of this??

We moved from New Orleans this last weekend and it was hard to say good bye to Cali and Mid City Animal House for us and our pup, Macy. She has been going there since she was a puppy five years ago. Cali and her team always made last minute accommodations for our crazy schedules and Macy would always run up to the door ready for her stay. Before Macy we had an elderly poodle mix, Sadie, who spent her days cuddled up behind the desk when she was under the weather. Truly a home away from home for both of our dogs. Thank you!!

My dog likes coming here, it smaller and more personal care for the dogs than other day cares my dog has been at. I like the boarding packages they have here.

My dog loves it when I take her. She's excited to go. She's happy and healthy when she comes home.

Everyone that works here is so incredibly nice, helpful and you can tell they really love their job and enjoy taking care of dogs. The first time I brought our pitbull puppy here I was under a ton of stress because my mom had just had a medical emergency and I had to fly to MI at very last minute notice, I called less than an hour before they closed, I got them the vaccination information from my vet and dropped our puppy off right before close, but the girl I spoke with on the phone (Chelsea, I think?) didn't rush us at all and even mentioned that there was no need to rush because they would be there for a bit anyways closing up. Overall this place is wonderful, and our puppy loves playing with the other dogs!

Started taking our pups here on a recommendation from a friend and for the sole reason that they were the only place we could find that wasn't already booked. We now drive well out of our way to take our pups here. The staff is great, and the pups love it.

Dr. Hess and the other staff here always make my furry heathens and I feel welcome and well cared for. My heathens don't play well with others, and they always accommodate that, ensuring the lobby is clear when we come and go. All of the staff are great at communicating as well. I love bringing my dog here for dog daycare, she's so tired and well-behaved at the end of the day. I like that there's outside time and solitary places for dogs to chill when they are overwhelmed.

We were in town for a wedding and needed a place to board our dog on the days that we wouldn't be able to keep her with us. We inquired on their website and Cali immediately contacted us to set up the appointments. They did a great job with our dog Molly. Highly recommend!

Such a great place, felt more like leaving my pet with a friend than a daycare. Also I have fluffy white boy dog and hate when he gets cut like a girl. The owner asked a lot of questions to ensure he came home looking his best. I am so please with his cut and the level of care my pet receives at mid city.

We barely made registration the day before. We were also promptly welcomed at the door when opened. The other dogs there knew a dog was coming. They also greeted us at the gate. She was tired when she got home but after an hour or two of a nap, she was our dog again. It's affordable, responsible and you know it's a win win for your dog and you.

Best place in Midcity to take an animal in need, or for a checkup!

I have been using MidCity to board my dog for years. He can be a bit testy at times and has been through a lot of trauma with big dogs so it is much more helpful that the staff treats each dog as a welcomed guest and attends to specific needs they may have.

I brought my labradoodle to MC Animal House for a haircut and for the second time, we recieved a great experience. The family owned and operated facility is a fantastic place to bring your pet for a haircut, while they play with other animals during the day until its their turn to be pampered. I would suggest this place to anyone who wants to feel at ease and comfortable knowing the love and caring service the MC Animal House provides.

Their stayed open late for me one night when my house lost power and it was too dangerous for my english bulldog to be in the house all night and the next day with no a/c. Their staff is great, and the group of dogs is usually small which makes my dog much more comfortable.
