South Paws has an amazing staff, they treat your pet as their own. Dr. Blazevich is amazing! I was terrified of the surgery that Marley needed, (a partial mandibulectomy), the outcome was better than I ever expected and I was very impressed. I highly recommend South Paws!!!

They were extremely professional and compassionate when managing my cat, Adele’s oral surgery needs~ They keep me informed the entire process which greatly reduced my stress level~ I would highly recommend them for any pet needs you may have~ Adele is doing great~

Great place to provide specialized veterinary care for your pets. Southpaws responded quickly when we needed emergency gall bladder surgery for our Bella. Southpaws staff were caring, responsive, and kept us updated throughout Bella’s surgery and recovery. Great place and great people! Would highly recommend. Bella’s back on all fours swimming, fetching, and living her best life.

A huge shout out to South Paws in Mandeville! Their expertise was recently tested when I took my cat in to them for the removal of three very advanced (spiky) bladder stones! Not only did the stones need to be removed but puncture wounds in the bladder caused by the spikes needed to be repaired. Of course, the wounds were in the most difficult area of the bladder! Leave it to my animals to test Dr. Rose’s skills! Myrtle is home again after a lengthy stay giving her little body time to heal correctly. South Paws’ incredible doctors, knowledgeable and dedicated veterinary nurses and staff grew to love Myrtle as I do. She is so worth the effort and worry! Thank you, Dr. Rose and South Paws for caring so much for and taking such good care of my baby! I’ll never go anywhere else to have my fur-babies treated!!

My Lizzie needs hip replacement ,she is one years old ,German Shepard . I read these reviews and I pray Southpaws can take care of her needs . Sounds like the people I want for her.

My GF traveled out of state to bring her dog there for help. 6000 dollars later they had her in tears recommending that she have the dog put down. I will admit the dog seemed to be suffering greatly and didn't seem to have any quality of life left, yet wasn't like this before treatment. One last effort was made to bring her back to her regular vet and after he saw the list of powerful meds she was put on he made some changes or should I say did away with all but one and cut that one way back. Less than a day later she showed great improvement and now almost a year later she is happy go lucky. With all the very expensive scans pointing to what they said was the problem, back issues, we found out with some basic tests done here that she has cancer. Still going strong although the cancer was predicted to take her life not to much longer after it was found. Basically $6000 was wasted when $300 found the root of the problem. I feel these guys took advantage of her willingness to do whatever it took to help her dog. After talking to my personal vet, an Auburn graduate, he had heard of complaints regarding this clinic. I read some of the wonderful reviews given but unfortunately we didn't get the same feeling of accomplishment. I Will not go out of my way to bad mouth these guys as I'm sure someone there has competence but I certainly won't be recommending them either. My best advice to anyone would be to find an Auburn graduate and that's coming from someone who bleeds purple and gold!!

I can't say enough good things about Southpaws. Wonderful staff. Dr. L is amazing. They saved my dog's life and made her whole again. I will forever be grateful.

I’ve never met a group of more knowledgeable and truly caring staff. I was so happy with every one of our experiences there and brought several dogs there for surgeries and therapies.

There are always tons of ROACHES when I go in there!

We were very impressed with them. Very honest, we thought it was an ACL and it turned out not to be....saved us thousands.

It has been made known to me as of recently one of the vets has been abusing patients and has a history of such.

This place has gone downhill. My sister brings her pets here and will no longer. It has been told to me by my primary vet and his technicians that their doctor abused patients both at this hospital and his previous hospitals. One technician even witnessed this vet injuring a patient. My sister says she always sees roaches when she goes there. Avoid this place at all costs! They deny these allegations, but the more people I talk to, the more information comes to light.

We traveled over 300 miles seeking a Veterinary Surgeon to operate on our 1/2 Dachshund 1/2 Chihuahua how blew out a disc in his back on New Years Day, 2020. The staff here are wonderful and was very encouraging and honest on what Dr. Dena could do. This is a very impressive Hi-Tech facility utilizing the latest technology in the care of our Pup.... I highly recommending South Paws, Dr. Dena, Dr. Gindia and the Staff.

From the start, the entire staff from reception, to surgical, to rehabilitation were exceptional. They helped us every step of the way with thorough explanations and shared every option available. Our dog loved them and so did we!

Trash. My brother took his dog here and we had to go to another specialist to correct the mistakes they made. This place is worthless.

I can not say enough great things about this practice. Our dog Bella suffered from a torn cruciate injury after playing at a dog park. Dr. Dena and her staff were great. We received nightly updates, and the staffed called to check on Bella. I highly recommend the rehab! The rehab staff is great, they made sure Bella's progress continued to improve during every visit, we also enjoyed watching her in the underwater treadmill. Everyone was very compassionate, we could see how much passion the employees have when walking through the hospital. Being as my wife and I are RN's. We definitely appreciate the care Bella was given. Thank you Dr. Dena and the entire South Paws Staff. The Butler's

Everyone was courteous and professional from the moment we walked through the door. They took great care of my pet pre and post surgery, even calling to check up on him. I highly recommend South Paws.

This place is filthy and poorly operated. AVOID!!!

This facility is the most compassionate group of surgeons and staff. I took my dachshund in yesterday afternoon due the loss of use of his back legs after two weeks of steroid, etc to try for non surgical healing with my local vet. They did a CT scan and was going to do surgery today for a herniated disc. Surgeon called me last night and said he did surgery right away as he was concerned about our dog losing further function. He was so compassionate and caring. I couldn't be more pleased with South Paws. Thank you, thank you for taking care of my fur baby.

Words escape me as to WHAT CAN EVEN ACCURATELY represent the ANGELS that are present at South Paws Veterinary! As I rescued this baby that had been hit by a car and only option (other than Euth) was surgery! Dr Ledoto's responsiveness (as I was very heartfelt to help this baby) allowed me to feel comfort in knowing South Paws could help her immediately! Upon rescuing her I had an immediate appointment and Dr Bob Hancock, already communicating with Dr Ledoto, knew the specifics and this baby was offered relief from her pain....Having SHATTERED BONES, Dr Hancock rebuilt her hips and the staff there had constant communication in keeping me updated in her treatment....Although, this baby was a rescue that I only had a couple hours prior to taking her to South Paws, the staff and specialist were SOOOO HEARTFELT in knowing my passion in helping her and knew that to me, HER LIFE MATTERED!..... I actually picked her up following surgery on SUNDAY morning! All the staff knew everything about her and was very helpful! THEY ARE INCREDIBLY CUSTOMER ORIENTED and seem to REALLY LOVE HELPING MAKING A DIFFERENCE IN THESE BABIES LIVES!.....I cannot say enough good about my experience there....and when others ask "DID YOU SHOP PRICING AS YOU ARE A RESCUE?" I respond with "NO, because the care and love they provide at South Paws is PRICELESS!" I will always return here for any of these furbabies in need!......GOD BLESS THEM ALL FOR CARING and SHARING THE SAME PASSION IN KNOWING THEY CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
