Just had my first visit here with my new kitten. The staff was amazing and super friendly and Doc was great as well. So far its been an awesome experience

My dog had to go in for a kidney stone removal surgery. The doctors here are super kind and genuinely care about their patients. Knew what was wrong and found a quick and affordable solution.

Me and my wife had to take our momma cat in and he was gentle and he didn’t charge us like other animal hospital would charge

Dr. Mayer took excellent care of my dog She had sores on her stomach that appeared overnight. He saw her the next day and treated her. I’m very thankful for Dr. Mayer’s conscientious care. ????

Immediately helped my dog. Very timely and helped virtually. Prescribed medicine quickly and the issue was resolved shortly.

The staff were nice and professional but the vet himself was being unprofessionally rude when asked questions about medications he recommended and then threw a fit when we wanted a prescription so that we can show around for the best price. Reluctantly he charged us a “prescription fee” and wrote us a hardly legible prescription. I go to chewy.com to order the medications and he denies my dogs medication from being ordered. I call and explain to the staff on the phone that we had purchased the prescription and she pleasantly said she would call chewy and tell them that the medication is approved. Chewy confirmed the order and everything was good until the day after and chewy notifies me that the vet has again denied it after already approving it. This guy is a joke and has no professional ethics. Denying a patient a prescription just because they wont buy it from you is not legal. Dont let him pull this on you.

Dr. Mayer and his staff are excellent at making my wife and I feel so comfortable and attentive at our time of discomfort. We had to put our 18 year old fur baby down.

Always make room for a last minute visit. Dr. Mayer takes time to call the owners. The staff calls and checks up on pet. I wont have a new vet ever again ????????????????

Dr. Mayer is an excellent vet!

The girls always take good care of myself and my various furbrains. I do find their prices to be high, especially now that I'm dating a vet at another local clinic, but I'm content with the care they provide and attempt to be cost effective without compromising my furballs' health. Doc is stubborn man, but he knows his stuff, treats me well, and has never led me astray. The only times his treatments failed were because I chose not to run tests beforehand due to costs, not his errors.

I love it. Everyone is very friendly and I love the way they really love animals!!

Bill Mayer is a excellent Veterinarian. He graduated from LSU and has put together a super experienced staff. They are easy to get in, are very knowledgeable, they always call you with a follow up phone call to check on you pet. They are very relatable and good at whey do. Highest recommendation.

Dr. Mayer and his staff have exceeded every experience and expectation we have ever had for a vet! We just moved to Lafayette six months ago and chose Dr. Mayer on the advice of several referrals, and are so pleased we did. From a general checkup on our Himalayan cat, to neutering our 5 lb. tiny toy poodle, to caring for our AKC/UKC registered and titled silver lab and her new litter of seven puppies (????), we've entrusted Dr. Mayer with it all. His staff are always professional, courteous, friendly, and accommodating; the facilities are rigorously maintained and consistently spotless; and Dr. Mayer himself is incredibly experienced, knowledgeable, and straightforward. It's obvious that every person in the building truly loves animals, and from our very first visit, we've always felt 100% comfortable leaving our pets in their care. Mayer Veterinary Hospital is one of the reasons we're so glad to have moved to Lafayette. Dr. Mayer and his Staff are an exceptional team of pet caretakers! From the time you enter the door of their well maintained clinic, you feel welcomed. How could you not when the office cat comes to greet you? Dr. Mayer has the experience and compassion you hope for when you are looking for a Veterinarian. You will love his short audio talks via Facebook. Our sheltie, Max, has been well taken care of in the first year and a half of his life. He doesn't mind going into the office and they do a great job with his medical and grooming needs. When we need to board him, we leave town confident that he is well taken care of and exercised regularly. The prices for grooming and boarding are reasonable and the Doctor even has occasional sales on dog food and treats. If you need a Veterinarian, I do not hesitate to recommend the Mayer Veterinarian Hospital.

Over the years I've been to several veterinarians and for the most part have had decent experiences, but yesterday I had an experience that amazed me. From the minute I waled in I was greeted and treated like they really cared. They have spent time working on the little things that separate them from all the other vets in our area. Everyone is friendly and caring and I know that they truly care about my pets and me. So happy I found them.

Love this veterinary office! From the friendly and knowledgeable staff to the honest Doctor. I know my baby girl, Kailani, gets treated with the best and most cost efficient medical care on this side of Louisiana. I do and will continue to recommend this clinic to everyone I know.
