Abadie Veterinary Hospital Harahan, Louisiana

I don't know what is happening at Abadie. First, I did not get an email or message saying that Boudreaux's shots were due. Second, I called to set up an appointment and the message would not put me through or let me hold on. It told me to call back and hung up on me. THREE TIMES! I was so frustrated. When we arrived the workers were nice and helpful but I didn't know who to ask about not getting notified of his shots and about the REALLY DUMB PHONE SET UP! Please let me know what to do in the future so I don't have to keep calling while I am at my work.' I love Dr. Perronne and don't want to go see another vet but that was a mess.

We love Abadie Veterinarian Clinic! The staff is always friendly and accommodating and Dr Dubuc is the best! She treats our fur babies like they are her own. My dogs love going cause the staff is the best around!

Dr Abadie is the best Veterinarian ever. He is a great vet and so caring with the animals. He has been taking care of my dogs for the last 40 years. He is a wonderful person. I would recommend him to everyone.

I haven’t been able to get any answers about a lump on my dog that likely needs surgery for weeks. I brought him in sick several weeks ago and called 4 times to follow up with Dr. Abadie before making an appointment with another doctor since he never called me back. Dr. Reed (sp?) was great and attentive, but informed me that my dog’s chart was lost. I’m guessing that is why I never had my calls returned. Now it has been a week and I haven’t heard back about the lab results that were taken during that appointment. Not only can I not get answers about how to proceed with helping my dog before having a new baby, but I’ve been paying for services I am not receiving (I.e. radiology results from my dog’s stay weeks ago and now lab results from a week ago- in addition to having to make a new appointment because I couldn’t get the doctor to return my calls).

Excellent staff, Dr. Abadie is excellent. Highly recommend.

We have been going to Dr. Scott Abadie for quite some time. He is such a caring doctor and you know he loves animals. We would never take our beloved dogs to anyone else. And they love Dr. Abadie as well.

Dr. Lauren Dubuc has been seeing our 2 labs for 6 years. She is very thorough and explains everything so well. We absolutely love her!

I have used Abadie Veterinary Hospital since it opened in Harahan. I have always been able to call in the morning to see if I could drop off a pet on my way to work. Apparently now the phones are not answered until 8:00 am. I had to drive to the hospital, find out if I could drop off my cat, go home to get my cat, then drop off my cat. All of that took an extra 30 minutes. My cat did receive EXCELLENT care but the process of getting her her there was very inconvenient. I miss they way Abadie Vet used to be.

Dr. Reed called with details to discuss my dog's rather extensive dental problems.

Dr. Abadie is a great vet. He shows such compassion when working with my senior pup.

I’m sure they will make this review disappear. We had four dogs at the facility for 16 years. After hurricane Ida, one of ours dogs was sick. They were ill prepared to handle despite being a hospital. Most of all in the last two years the facility had changed and we learned Dr Abadie has sold it. We decided to put our dog down and had to deal with an unknown vet who was less than compassionate and when she was hurting the dog it was crying at which time she was firmly told to stop bc it was hurting her. She goes to the back with dog and apparently cried and the most unprofessional person comes into the room and was like a teenager on a rampage. She claimed to be the office manager and refused to call in one of the doctors we knew. If you have been there a long time, you have also seen how the long term staff is gone. Dr Abadie no longer cares bc after 16 years he would not even acknowledge what happened. I do not recommend people stay there because several people were also desperate to get medications and had no ability to get them. This clinic is not what it used to be and I cannot tell you how painful it is to have had a relationship with a facility for 16 years and be treated in the manner that we were much less the non-compassionate and painful death of my 15 year old little girl. Please consider other options. I would not want anyone facing what we did.

Great service. Never have to wait long for an appointment. They’ve cared for all my furry children.

I have used Abadie Clinic for many years. Wouldn’t go anywhere else. The staff is caring and trustworthy. I feel secure leaving my furbabies with them. I think they are capable and professional.

I was glad I found Abadie Veterinary Hospital as a result of finding a rescued dog. Now all of my pets , cats and dogs, see the doctors at AVH!

You guys are AWESOME! I have 2 dogs that are terrified of going to the vet but y’all always work with me to make the experience as easy on them as possible. I saw Dr. Perronne and she was very understanding and knowledgeable. All of the vet techs are wonderful as well. Thank you thank you thank you to all of you at Abadie! Y’all are all wonderful and the pups and I appreciate all of you!!!

Dr. Dubuc is amazing! I trust her 100% with my furbaby and her care. My girl is special needs with Addison’s disease and arthritis and is on a few medications. Wouldn’t go anywhere else.

I am not even a client of yours, and I explained that my 3 month puppy had been bitten by another dog and was accommodated immediately because my vet was closed due to Hurricane Ida. You guys truly care and I really can't express in enough words my gratitude. My puppy ended up needing stitches and the care she received from Dr. Abadie and his staff was truly above and beyond. You guys are the best! In a very frustrating world right now, where everything seems to be a struggle, you all were the light for me that day. Thank you for caring so much about the people and pets in our community!
