I have taken my pup here for the last year (my dog's whole life), and I feel safe bringing her here, even when I can't go inside with her. My dog loves them, and she even gets excited when we get to the vet. Any questions that I have are always answered thoroughly, and I have a lot of them since I am a helicopter dog mom. I am glad that I found a place that I know that I can trust to take care of my baby.

Service was outstanding and staff was great! Doc gave a clear explanation on what was going on. Price was fair! Couldn't be happier I found this GEM we call a vet.

My wife and I adopted a dog from a local rescue, and we have been dealing with the vet that is affiliated with them for the past year. We decided to start looking for a new vet for our dog Louie, not only because it was so far away, but the service was not pleasant. We had a couple of concerns about Louie so we started searching for a local vet with good reviews, and my wife and I stumbled across Gretna Animal Hospital. We called and were able to get an appointment for Louie the same day. They were truly amazing! Everyone was super attentive and were respectful with COVID-19 protocols. Dr. David Hesse was really comforting and assuring, and he answered every one of our questions and went the extra mile in his explanations. Louie had a great time as well :) We will definitely be taking Louie back here. To Dr. Hesse and the staff at Gretna Animal Hospital we say THANK YOU!

Super friendly staff! Dr. Hesse is very thorough with his exams. Also, I bring my 80 lb Catahoula here for his baths. The price is right and he always comes back smelling great!

My kitten was sick and needed to be seen ASAP. Thankfully Grena Animal will do emergency visits and they're much more affordable and near than MedVet! They ran only the tests needed and administered vaccines. Waiting time was very reasonable too!

Call in from your vehicle parked out front at appointment time, and one of the wonderful staff will come out and get your GoodBoy (or Grrrl). The Doctors are top notch. Complete veterinary services. Hospital. Dental too. The staff always seems happy. I can see them smiling behind their masks. Yes, various pet supplies are available for purchase in the lobby. The office in Gretna is stand-alone, not in a strip mall, and easy to get to from anywhere. It's about five blocks from the WB expressway Stumpf interchange. See the map. They love caring for our family. When the dog or other species needs the doctor, this is the place.❤️

Dr Hesse has been our family Vet for the past 15 years. He and his staff (especially Peggy) treat your animals as though they are family. I'll never go anywhere else.

Great service, love it there

We recently just moved to this area. The staff was awesome from scheduling the appointment to the curbside service due to Corona virus. My pets were extremely happy and so was I. The dr was very thorough in his report to me and I appreciated that. Definitely will see you all again in near future as my dogs need dentals! Hugs to you all.

Lovely staff, clean & sanitary place, organized and great variety of different dogs

The staff is all very friendly and willing to go above and beyond for your beloved animals. They have been a wonderful relief to care for my dog, who suffers from a lot of anxiety. The staff is trained to calm and deescalate situations involving anxious, high-risk animals.

Dr. Hesse was a caring and knowledgeable vet who took great care of my dog Doris throughout her life. His treatments kept her in good health despite several illnesses she faced in her later years. The staff was always polite and the facilities were very clean certainly recomend Gretna Animal Hospital.

Dr Hesse and his staff are simply first class. They are all kind and they are all gentle. The whole staff creates the feeling that they love your animal almost as much as you do. They are efficient, effective, and kind. Dr Hesse has no problem explaining to you exactly what he is going to do. Then he explains why and answers all your questions, no hesitation (he never makes you feel foolish for asking.) The staff treats the human client as nicely as the animal clients. The pricing, while not cheap, is quite reasonable and transparent. In summary, they're totally the best!
