Very compassionate ... Dr. Katie was on the ball!

Dr. Katie Maher Schmidt has been seeing my dog for 13+ years and has given the best care I could ask for. Reliable is an understatement. She is always available when needed and is open and honest with advice, care, recommendations, etc. I wouldn’t go anywhere else in the area, she will be my forever vet.

I’m so thankful to have found such a good vet office for my dogs! I had to put my dog down and Dr.Katie Maher made saying goodbye so easy! I highly recommend them! The best of the best! Thank you so much for all that you have done! ☺️☺️☺️

I don't think anyone loves bringing their beloved pet to the vet. You cant make them understand that you're just bringing them for their well-being, BUT I trust these people with my sweet Gus. He is a shihpoo and has a bad back. There will be times when he upsets it and he just won't even walk, go to the bathroom, and can barely lie down. They get him fixed up and are often able to see him the same day. I love them.

I love this clinic!! My dog tore her skin off her back leg escaping her kennel during a thunderstorm. She gets terrified every single storm. Anyway I was able to get her in the next day. Dr Katie is AMAZING. So is her dad Dr.Dusty. (sorry if I misspelled) also their staff is A+. No nasty attitudes or impatience noted in their voices. My previous vet passed away. They are my vet now. I just have to bring my poms for routine vaccines and exams in addition to my injured girl. Dr Katie sent me a handwritten thank you letter. That's super sweet and shows how awesome she is.

They take awesome care of your pet including grooming, vet services and boarding! We have nothing but compliments for the staff and services at Maher Animal Hospital, even during the lockdown. Excellent customer service!

Being my first visit with my pup, I had requested I meet with Dr. Maher. (Presently, the Hospital conducts curbside service. Only allowing pets to enter.) The staff understood my concern...after all, this was my initial visit. And I wasn't comfortable handing my dog over to strangers. Dr. Maher allowed me to accompany my pup. She, (Dr Maher) was kind, patient, addressed all my concerns. And, after my dog's annual testing, and shots were given...she still took time to chat with me. I didnt feel rushed at all. It appears I've found my dog's new Vet. I do recommend this place.

The staff is so kind and always helpful. The vets are awesome and very knowledgeable about their craft.

The first vet that I've ever been to that didn't overcharge and push for tests or an unnecessary procedure. My dog was very comfortable with the vet, which is very unusual, as she is usually timid.

I have been going here for years, the staff are some of the most compassionate people when it comes to difficult times in our dogs lifes.

Best place to ever go. Prices are competitive for the area (don't know who marked down for similar prices and/or why). This place is the epitome of five stars. Katie and her father, Dr. Maher, truly have compassion and passion for their field. It shows in every little interaction. If this isn't enough to make someone bring their pet here the first time and keep coming back, I don't know what else they could ever do to raise the bar other than have 24/7/365 emergency service.

You can’t imagine how much money I have spent on my dogs ears that the previous vet couldn’t seem to clear up. Dr Maher’s daughter, I’m sorry I can’t remember the last name, looked one time in his ear and said it is something something something, gave him a shot and medicine and my baby’s ear is good. He has been suffering for over a year in and out. She also saved my little Bichon’s life several months back. I’m done with e everybody else. I found my hone here and my babies will be here getting cured instead of me paying this other vet for temporary fixes so that they could keep their income flow. After all a healthy pet doesn’t bring in money. I love this clinic.

I've known Rusty over 10 years & his daughter Katie for a good few as well. They helped me keep my dog for 17 and half years. Got me started with glucosime early and when he was 15, they tried new drugs that extended my dog's life a couple more years. They take in strays and treat all the animals with great care. My dog is now gone. But, if I ever get another one, I want Katie to be it's vet.

We love the Maher Animal Hospital. The staff are so friendly and helpful. This is the best place to bring your pet in Covington

Prices are typical (high) but they do an excellent job with the dogs. On pure veterinary ability, I give 5 stars. When Rusty's there, I give 5 starts because the price seems lower. In any case, their prices aren't any higher than any other local vets, and they take great care of the dogs. I just wish they offered 24/7 emergency care. This area needs competition.
