Great place to bring your pets for excellent care, including boarding. Doctors and staff are friendly and professional, and everything felt very clean and comfortable. I was impressed with how careful every person was to minimize the stress for my cats, especially Dr. Loftin. They were exceptionally helpful to me as a disabled person with four cats (who hate being in carriers). I would definitely recommend Bocage Animal Hospital!

Every time I bring Cooper to Bocage Animal Hospital it’s always a great experience. Friendly and knowledgeable staff who put Cooper’s well being first. He loves going and getting extra pets for the day. Love that I can do a drop off appointment if I can’t make an actual appointment for his vet needs!

I have been bringing my cat to Bocage Animal Hospital for 3 years and am extremely satisfied. It is quick and easy to get in and out for a nail trim and his annual visits are also easy to book and they take such good care of him. The staff is always friendly and courteous!

From scheduling to the post visit follow up it is clear that this group cares about the animals under their care, along with the owners. Both Dr. Loftin and the Techs made sure to keep both my dog and myself as comfortable as possible during the visit, while providing a very thorough examination. DO NOT go there or work for them! The manager fired my friend OVER TEXT for having a panic attack and then BLOCKED her! She made her feel less than instead of trying to help her while she was going through a hard time and had DIAGNOSED ANXIETY! They are only in it for the money! She is a self centered and has had EVERYTHING including a company handed to her and has never faced adversity a day in her life! Horrible place with horrible people.

Good vet but prices are very high. We're charged for an exam every time we drop off one of our three dogs, which isn't always necessary as sometimes it's only a few weeks later. It just seems like a method to drive up costs. Other charges like medications have recently increased with no explanation. They were already very expensive. Also there have been a few times when we're getting a lot of work done on one dogs, such as a dental procedure, and we asked for nail trim while we're in there. We're charged for that too. It seems like that could be given at no additional cost given we're already paying several hundred dollars. It feels like nickel and diming us and doesn't make us feel valued as customers. We've communicated our concerns about costs, even leaving messages for the lead vet or business manager to call No one did and nothing has changed. We may have to find another vet as this place isn't affordable for us any longer.

Completely unprofessional management. I have never before in my life gone to a vet where management was this unprofessional and rude. I brought my cat here because her paw had doubled in size, changed color, and was very raw and uncomfortable for her. $55 exam. Okay. Fine. What does the doctor say? “Ohhhh that’s so weird. Ohhhhh I have no idea what it could be.” I don’t pay $55 to be told the vet has no clue what’s going on. I pay $55 to be told what’s wrong with my pet. If you’re a doctor, how do you have no idea—not even a GUESS what’s wrong? Fine. Okay. I’m nice, I leave, and I call the next day. I ask for the manager just to ask like what’s the deal, what’s going on, I’m a little concerned that the doctor couldn’t give any sort of diagnosis. I felt it was a little unprofessional that all he could basically say is “oh, well, do the treatment you’re doing that I’ve never heard of or would have guessed to prescribe” and “come back if that doesn’t work.” That is literally, word for word, what he said. And what does the manager say? Oh, he’d never say that! Oh, what do you want? For him to give you meds? We can’t do that! (Never asked for that) Oh, what do you want? For him to say something is wrong when it isn’t? Oh, I’m not a doctor so I can’t speak for what he says. Oh, you keep complaining (never have before?) Apparently me calling twice in the past to ask if I needed to come back in after my cat threw up or had anal gland issues the same night as a physical, as in, they missed the issue during the physical, is complaining? Me saying I’m a little frustrated that these things were not caught during multiple exams? After me shelling out so far nearly $200 per cat within just a few weeks? I’m not allowed to have concerns after I’ve literally spent all this money? Me complaining about an inconvenience I experienced is “too much”? Is this a joke? The one and ONLY time I ever try to speak to the manager and I’m told “oh you complain all the time” ?? WHEN?? The only thing she could even come up with was that I mentioned I was frustrated once in a phone call when they didn’t catch the issue with his anal glands in the exam. I am simply at a loss for words. Never, ever coming back here. Horrible management needs to work on customer service. I and my husband both run businesses ourselves, and this is NOT how you treat customers when they have an issue.

After I adopted my dog I was looking for a vet. I ended up coming to Bocage and wouldn't change a thing! The staff recognizes and greet Lana by name when she comes in and goes above and beyond. Dr. Loftin and Dr. Bud are extremely helpful and go out of their way to make it the best experience and best care possible and are willing to answer any questions you might have. Management is very professional and has the best interest of the animal in mind. They are willing to answer any questions/concerns and do so in a prompt manner. Ultimately, I feel like their number one focus is the animal. I would recommend this place to anyone who asks!

The team at Bocage Animal Hospital was very welcoming, kind & friendly with our new puppy. Mrs. Stacy & Dr. Loftin were very thorough in our visit, making sure we were comfortable with everything discussed. We are looking forward to our pup's lifetime of visits (and eventually boarding & grooming) with the Bocage family. Cannot recommend highly enough!

Best veterinary services around. We have been using Bocage for over 13 years. They have taken care of the medical needs of all our dogs. They also provide dog daycare services and your dog is well taken care of.

Dr. Bud was recommended to me by a friend. I had a great experience here! As a first time dog momma, he made sure I had all of my questions answered before he ended the appointment. Staff were very sweet and courteous as well with reasonable prices! Highly recommend!

The doctors at Bocage Animal Hospital always take excellent care of my 11 year old boxer “Bluto”. The doctors communicate with me about healthcare plans for my dog very well. The staff and doctors are always so friendly and welcoming as soon as we walk through the front door. They provide excellent healthcare for my fur babies! I would recommend this animal hospital to anyone in Baton Rouge because they are so compassionate and genuinely care about the patients that are being treated and the boarders.

Flexible scheduling of appts by drop off 7am they have appts handled. Pickup by 630 pm which is easy not sitting around and waiting. Great staff,covid ready rules.

I used to think very highly of this clinic, however recently I’ve noticed they are extremely overpriced and take advantage of their older clients. My parents have been loyal clients of this hospital for years. They are older now and I’ve started to monitor their spending. Recently for 2 dogs to have their annual exam they were charged $900. This is absolutely ridiculous. This was not discussed ahead of time. When I questioned my parents about this they commented that this was not agreed upon ahead of Rhône and they have not seen the actual vet for an actual meeting in 2 years. I am appalled by this clinics rates. As an animal owner I am aware of normal expenses and $900 is just ridiculous.

Our dog Einstein loves coming to see Dr. Bud and his staff! As soon as soon as we walk in the staff is greeting him by name. Everyone is very professional and personable.

Dr. Smith is great with my cat, Silas (who doesn't even mind going to the vet anymore). Months ago, Silas stopped acting like himself and became very lethargic. Dr. Smith took the time to thoroughly check him out and diagnose him. He is now back to being my happy little fur ball.

I have been bringing my animals to Bocage Animal Hospital for more than 25 years. To say that I am loyal is an understatement. If the Best Care Anywhere slogan hadn't already been used, it would be theirs. Dr. Smith, Laura Catherine (whom I've watched grow up her entire life), Jacob, Jenna, Dr. Gordon, and the rest of the team there put the animals' needs first. And my testament alone isn't enough. When I arrive with my dogs, they run IN the door to see them. That says it all.

Our first time boarding our cats there. We were interested as they said siblings are let out to play during the day. When we picked them up we noticed the crate towels, food mats and a play blanket was left unpacked and everything was like I packed it. They both had litter crumbs throughout their fur. It seems nothing we sent was used. The staff was not friendly like the ones we toured with and seemed to have no Anderson how they did. We felt rushed out. Once home they sniffed each other like they have never met. Not the outcome we thought we would get.
