Great vet care if you don't mind the long car waits. Customer service has really declined since COVID. Having an appt. doesn't mean anything.

Difficult to get them to answer the phone, but they do care about their work. Must be able to pay up front though.

Friendly and professional. Very friendly and gentle with your pet. Highly recommended.

DONT go here unless you want them to cut your dogs nails so short that she can hardly walk. She's been limping around and shrieking and crying since bringing her home, isn't herself, has kept her ears down, and doesn't want to get up. Shes terrified and in pain. Absolutely awful. Not to mention I went JUST for her yearly rabbies shots and ended up charged for a whole yearly checkup I didn't ask for! So shocked and angry! After years of visiting I will NOT be bringing my baby back!!!

I have taken my pets here before. I had called five times and left my name and phone number for them to call me back to make an appointment for both of my pets to get their annual shots, no one would ever call back. Finally I had to find a new vet. Not to happy about it but after 5 tries I took it that they no longer wanted or needed my business.

Dr. Taylor and his staff are the best. They have always been courteous, accommodating, and professional. Cannot recommend them enough if you need a vet.

When we first moved to Richmond from Virginia, we started taking our Onyx to Barnes Mill Animal Hospital. I will say Dr. Taylor is great. He was able to find out what was wrong with Onyx, that several vets in Virginia for 4 years could not. I will give Dr. Taylor a 5 star, but the reason for the 3 star is that in the last 1-1/2 years the phone communication is horrible. You always get the machine no matter when you call and most of the time you have to call several times. On several occasions my husband actually had to go down there to talk to someone. Some of the staff are friendly and others are not. Please work on the communication.

Don't know I have not been able to get in there yet. Get rabies shots for my dog okay. 4 to have my cat put down. Last week I talked to a doctor Taylor. I called yesterday or 2 days ago. Still no response I'm not going to brag about nobody's does not get back with me. Is today

Best vet in town! Been bringing our pets here for over 7 years. They really know my dogs and work with us to provide care that makes the most sense.

Fabulous! Love Dr. Taylor & staff. Been going there since it opened probably 20 years ago. Never a bad experience with anyone there. He is the best vet!

Didn't have time for my dog and the guy wasn't a man enough come out and tell me me and my mom used them for years and spent alot of money there this my last trip there it was A emergency

Wonderful with taking care of your pets. I get my dogs prescription and blood work all done right there.

My puppy never had ANY shots and they wanted me to wait a week, could have gotten parvo. I heard Dr was great,cost $20 more than other vets for the office visit. I am on disability and have to watch every penny.

I think office staff is incompetent. Or they are trying to reduce traffic. And the covid measures are ridiculous. If the owners have covid, the animals will carry it into the facility.

I am not a regular patient but my dog was injured with a 3 inch gash in his leg. We called the emergency #told them the situation, someone came outside and we told HIM , he went on an continued asking other cars why they were there. We did not receive a call back and had to go to Advanced Animal Care. He is not having surgery. If they couldn't see is they should have said so, would have saved me 30 minutes of waiting. VERY disappointed, will not recommend this practice to anyone.

So glad to be able to take Meisha to Dr. Taylor. His office is so efficient.

The intake and outgoing processes are truly terrible. Communications are terrible. No one answers the phone during normal business hours. I will give 3 stars as the medical care and pricing is good.

Wonderful Doctors and staff. I will never go anywhere else. They really go out of the way for that special caring touch. Love them.

Dr. Taylor is great with our two labs. The staff is always so friendly and attentive to our concerns and the needs of our pets. I would totally recommend Barnes Mill Animal Hospital for all your pet needs!

The staff at Barnes Mill Animal clinic is wonderful. They are thorough and very clean with all this Covid going on. My dogs thank them too. ????????

They are one of the best Veterinary office in the Richmond. The staff is compassionate the doctors are the best!
