Uptown Hounds Lexington, Kentucky

As someone who has been to numerous dog day cares this was by far the worst experience i have had. The staff misrepresented information, was unfriendly, and I felt did not put our dogs happiness as a priority. A week before our planned visited to Lexington, I called uptown hounds to arrange day care for my dog. When the staff answered, they helped me schedule daycare, and took her vaccination records. I was told she would have to be evaluated which was fine, however they misinformed me of how evaluations occurred. When i arrived… i was told i needed to make a separate evaluation appointment…and the soonest available appointment was three weeks after we would have gone home!!! Their staff did not inform me about this separate evaluation appointment rule when I booked daycare and they refused to correct their mistake and evaluate my dog. This forced my dog to be in day boarding alone rather than playing with other dogs. If you do see any good reviews about this unprofessional business IGNORE THEM. Your money should be spent somewhere with decent customer service and policies to help dogs be comfortable with their time away from their humans.

It was amazing. They knew my dog before she even arrived. The facility was immaculately clean. I asked to see the room my dog would board in. I got to go behind the scenes. The back of house was as clean and neat as the front of the house. NO nasty urine smell like most kennels. They gave me daily updates on my dog. I truly knew they loved my animal like i did.

The staff at Uptown Hounds are courteous, responsive, and keep me informed about my pet. When he is there for longer stays they are great about checking in and keeping me up-to-date about his activities throughout the day!

Great experience. We will be using Uptown again for our bordering or daycare needs.

Well I gave specific instructions on how I wanted my furbabies groomed. Now it either was not translated correctly or they just wanted to get done and move on to the next. Now the cuts were cute just not what I wanted for my babies especially since I had been growing my babies goatee for a year. To see it wacked off and uneven to boot was just heartbreaking. I want to give you another try but I am really nervous to see that what I ask for doesn't matter.

I was there to do a job. But there where so many dogs begging to be loved on. The place looked super nice and it seems they offer everything a dog could need

Bad grooming experience with my golden doodle. Don’t know what happened to her tail. Will not be returning. Mad I spent $90 for a haircut that looks like I did it myself.

I spoke with Veronica on the phone and she was so rude and not helpful. She did not feel like helping my dog. Her story about my dogs behavior changed every 5 minutes and nothing matched up. She offered no help and made me feel like an inconvenience on the phone

I boarded my little dog at Uptown Hounds for the first time this May. The facility is really nice, clean and the staff are very friendly!!! They answered all my questions and took exceptional care of my little guy! They also sent me updates when I requested. I will be using their services again for sure.

Dr J is awesome! Our kids love her! Especially Rudi. Don't tell the others but she's her favorite.

Amazing place to get you fur babies care!

My dog comes here for daycare and has been for several years. Service has not been the same in the last few months. Prices have gone up and all the little touches they use to do are gone. Very disappointing and sad.

This was the first time I had taken my dog to day care. They did not fill any of my request I paid for , and still charged. They only offered a $4 credit. Kept my dog in a room alone all day only let her out twice a day. I wouldn’t recommend to anyone. Mostly I am heartbroken and saddened that I left my dog incapable hands.

Uptown Hounds is an incredible spot to drop your pup off to play all day! Our dog loves going to Uptown Hounds and the staff is extremely kind and takes great care of our dog.

I have taken my dog here twice now and both times they completely disregarded my grooming requests. I took him to get groomed yesterday and had three simple requests: DO NOT cut his beard, his nose, or his eyebrows. When I picked him up, his beard, eyebrows, and nose hair are completely gone. They did the exact opposite of what I requested. A few hours after arriving home, my dog now has an eye infection and can't open his right eye. Do not recommend at all.

Uptown Hounds took GREAT care of my dog. Duke had never before been boarded. He came out of the experience just as he went in, happy and content. And much cleaner, because I had him groomed while we were gone. This is a great place for your dog.

I do NOT recommend them for grooming. I had two simple requests: don’t shave my dog’s nose/between her eyes and weigh her. When I picked my dog up they hadn’t weighed her and I asked them nicely to do it and the lady said “I don’t have time to do that.” They also completely shaved her face and nose. Uptown Hounds is rude, unorganized, and will not listen to any requests you may have. Go anywhere else to get your dog groomed but do not go here.

They were good. I just wish my pomeranian would've been more rounded off and made to look fluffier. Other than that I have no complaints. The staff was friendly

Awesome place for your furry kid to heal up. Hydro Therapy and Hyperbaric Chamber to assist the healing process for many types of injuries. Alternative to surgery for older canines. Check out their website for more information.

Uptown Hounds is a fantastic place for day camp and hotel!!!! The handlers are all friendly and knowledgeable. My puggle Mugwai lives it there, and has made so many friends!!!

Uptown Hounds took great care of our very energetic Golden Doodle while we were on vacation. They went above and beyond when they noticed something wrong with his eye, set up the vet appointment and chauffeured good ole Lincoln in-style to his vet appointment. We could not have been happier with their service!

I have had a very good experience with the vet that helps my dog Precious with her physical therapy. I like this place very much.

I felt totally safe leaving her with you guys, and she have a really fun time, and it enabled me to get a lot of things done while I was visiting in town. And you guys are very reasonably priced, I will definitely be back and I highly recommend you guys! Thank you so much for taking such great care of my sweetheart dog <3 :-)

Groomers are fantastic! Prompt and priced competitively

Our dogs, Izzie and Enzo, LOVE going to UpTown Hounds for daycare. Izzie recognizes the route we take and starts whining with excitement. Once out of the car, we have to run to keep up with them to get into the building. Everyone is always so nice and our dogs come home happy and tired!
